Creekside Campsite THREE
We had a great time at campsite three. It was at the end so it had more space and felt more private. The bathroom was across the bridge and up the hill near the glampsites, so it was a bit further of a walk than expected. The host was great and really responsive and even called me to help out with an accommodation! We had an amazing time!

The hosts were amazed and bent over backwards to save me from a tough situation. There hospitality is unmatched by other Hipcamp hosts i have dealt with in the past. Ohio is currently in a drought so the creek is dry but the site itself is amazing. This location also has the best camp shower I have ever experienced. It is just a knob turn to good pressure and hot water in a beautiful setting. 10/10 for sure.

We had tent camping spot 2, it’s a quiet and beautiful camping spot right by the creek and meadows. You do hear a car or 2 driving by on the main road but that’s it for any noise. My dogs loved being able to be off leash and explore. The bath house was amazingly clean and beautifully decorated with live plants. We plan to return and want to try the glamping tents at the top of the hill. Definitely recommend!!

As others have said, it's confusing to GET there......but, once settled, the location was magical!!!! I didn't fall asleep to the sound of the stream - there was not a DROP of water in the creek bed 🤷
The number on the mailbox is 30731. I'm not sure that's the same address I was given........it just took awhile to find it.
I would definitely go back, now that I know what to expect.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here 2 nights, it was super fun, just make sure you bring lots of bug spray and repellent, with the little creek there the bugs are insane. But other than that it was Beautiful, clean and peaceful.

Nice but description unclear. Address was incorrect as others have stated. Look for the white fence with landscaping. The land is peaceful and pretty. It was also very convenient to all the attractions Lake Hope has to offer. We found it odd that you have to walk through the other campsites to get to your own. As they are in a line along the creek. It would be very nice if in the future there was a path through the pine trees from the parking area to the individual sites. After parking it is not clear where the campsites are and you have to do some wondering around. They are down the road and to the left before the bridge. The trek from the parking area to the sites isn't necessarily short. There is no access to the creek. It's possible we missed it but we saw no toilet or signs for one. It was private, peaceful and rustic. I would say, try it out. We had a good time once we were settled.

It was wonderful. I didn't have service, so I did get confused at first on where to go...
The signs had been washed away in a storm the week previously.
But it was safe, and beautiful. We had a great time exploring the area. Will be coming back again.

The address for the campground the I got was incorrect (1/4 mile down the road and across the street. A lovely neighbor helped me figure it out). Another camper I met had the same issue. When I arrived, I used the cart for loading gear. It was very nice that it was provided, but it’s very unsteady and dumped my gear repeatedly.
I stayed at campsite #3 with my son. It was a lovely campsite, with fantastic views of the night sky, and very private. The firepit was great, as were the provided chairs.
Negatives: You can definitely hear the road pretty loudly. There is also a gun range nearby that starts shouting around 8:30am. Also, be ready for lots of bugs. The stream next to the campground is muddy and slow moving.
The areas nearby are great for exploring. We went to Hope Lake and spent a great day on the water. We also explored the nearby forests and saw deer and my kiddo’s first snapping turtle.

Although this is a beautiful camp site it is prone to flooding in rainy weather. Thankfully I could park my van on higher ground and sleep in it. The day I was there it rained a lot and in a matter of three hours the entire camping area went from being dry to being under two feet of water. The glamping area is on higher ground and was not effected.

The campsite was beautiful and well-maintained. Very clean. We had a wonderful time and will definitely look forward to returning. In years to come I would love to see the addition of a picnic table. Fingers crossed. Thank you for the wonderful visit.

The camp sites were beautiful, you could still hear the road from time to time. Otherwise it was rather primitive.
