Welcome to our working bison ranch, where a unique experience awaits you. We are 10 minutes from Interstate 80/90. Explore our ranch through walking the paths that meander along the creek and around each bison pasture. As you stroll, discover the serenity of a large pond teeming with fish, dragonflies, butterflies, and amphibians. Visit our onsite store, where you can purchase our high-quality bison meat and unique bison artifacts. Additionally, from May to October, we offer tractor-drawn wagon tours into the pastures, providing an up-close encounter with these majestic animals. Nestled within a few miles of charming small towns boasting independent restaurants and stores, our location offers a perfect blend of rural tranquility and local amenities. Our bison enjoy over 55 acres of pasture, benefitting from our commitment to rotational grazing for both pasture and bison health. At our ranch, we prioritize working harmoniously with the land, fostering the return of native flora and fauna to our property. Situated a few miles north of Swanton, our land, once used for standard crops, has undergone a transformation. After five years, we proudly boast an array of accomplishments, including the identification of over 25 different bird species in a single morning, an increase in local native pollinator populations (including the monarch butterfly), and a reduction in soil erosion. We had a great time in early November car camping at our site. Woke up in the morning to see a herd of bison graising basically right outside our car. Was easy to find and get too, even had a solar light marking the spot. The grass road could be a bit hard to get over if too muddy or snowy but we made it fine even with slightly bald tires. Not a ton of commotion out there either so it was nice and peaceful. Would recommend!

Cute and quiet spot. The bison were in a pasture across the property this time, so we didn’t get to see them as much as my first stay. Not a huge deal, could still hear them and that was enough for me. Site 1 is a pretty view and feels private enough with the pond and wildflowers.

This was a perfect hipcamp for me! I arranged last minute as I needed a place to land for the night. Peaceful, quiet, easy to find. I fell asleep to the crickets and bullfrogs and had a great night of sleep. Calm and relaxing, close enough to the highway but no traffic noise. Perfect! I would stop here again in a second if I was driving through the area.

We stopped at Bracy Gold on our return trip from South Dakota where we didn’t get to see any Bison … what a treat to see them here in Ohio. Do yourself a favor and stop for a night … quiet farm setting with all the sights you would expect. Five stars from us.

Wonderful place- booked it last minute on a Sunday evening and Stacy was amazing. Brought us firewood and made sure we had everything we needed. Super pretty and peaceful! We would recommend it to everyone.

This was a nice quiet location to camp. The sunsets are really nice here. Stacy was a very kind and courteous host, and the bison meat and eggs we bought were delicious! I was very impressed with how well run their operation is run! All in all, I would recommend staying at Bracey Gold.

This is a great getaway. Super quiet spot under the stars. Lots of walk paths to explore the property. Chickens greet you on your drive in. Horses and bison roaming in the fields. Stacy is a super nice host.

The Bison are worth the visit!

This was a unique experience. Ever gone for a wagon ride into a herd of bison before? Here's your chance! If you book a reservation for a camping spot you do have to contact Stacy to schedule a time for this experience with the bison. $10/person. Worth it. The site offered plenty of room. I was greeted at the fence line by a beautiful horse when I arrived. RV sites are first-come, first-served, so if no one else is there when you arrive (as was the case for me) you get to park right next to the pasture...where the horses are penned up. A short walk around a building is where the bison graze. Their store is a simple room with six or seven huge freezers with a wide variety of bison meat cuts and also ground bison, sausages and burger patties. It has to be cooked differently than beef so be sure to ask Stacy for info on that. I recommend this spot!

We were late arrivals (and an early departure) so were unable to fully enjoy all that this site had to offer. The directions and scenery were, however, superb. We enjoyed a starry night sky in the evening and woke to a couple horses grazing nearby, with distant bison in the field beyond. Grateful for Stacy’s accommodating our short stay!

Convenient and welcoming. Hearing the fluffy cows grumbling in the pasture just in the other side of the trees was oddly comforting. lol The pond was cute and you’re far enough away from the host residence to feel some privacy.
