I really enjoyed the privacy of the spot and the fact that a portapotty was onsite was an added bonus. Andrew is a really cool host. He was very responsive to my messages, as I booked last minute. Gave me my choice of spots on the farm. Spent a couple nights enjoying the big night sky by the pond. Another hipcamp winner!

Very convenient drive to Cedar Point and the Marblehead beaches.

We had a great experience camping here. We were in town to visit Cedar point, which was about 15 minutes away. Location was easy to find, host was very nice, and we would certainly camp here again.

We arrived after dark and it was easy to find the place and set up camp. There were no mosquitoes or flies even though we were close to the cattle barn. The ground was flat. There was some train noise but not enough to interfere with sleeping. In the morning, we had a great conversation with Andrew, who was very friendly and open. We definitely recommend his HipCamp.

Great host and nice spot. Close to. town and easy to access. Mostly quiet, though the freight train will go by twice a day sometimes early in the morning or late at night.
Also, if you have a bigger camper, make sure to arrive from the north only! When coming from the south, there is a really low bridge (13') to go under with a sharp left hand turn immediately after. Bigger RV's will not be able to go through there.

We had a great tent camping trip! The farm was easy to find, Andrew greeted us as we arrived, and there was plenty of space for us to set up. It was a quick drive to Cedar Point too!

Andy was great. He made sure we had what we needed and went out of his way to make us feel welcome. We just needed a place to throw up a tent a couple nights and if you don't mind farm smells/sounds, it's great. We had no issues sleeping and liked the stars and lightning bugs, meeting the cats and goats and doggie. But you can avoid them easily if you're not into animals. Train nearby, but again, wasn't an issue for us. There was a toilet and cold shower, fireplace he built up for us to cook breakfast. We would stay again if in the area.
It's only 20 min from Cedar Point too- score!

There is a bright outdoor light that stays on all night long in the recommended tenting site. The porta-pottie was gross. The host said it had been blown over by the wind. However, it had not been properly cleaned afterwards.

Andy is a welcoming host, and a wealth of information about what to do and where to eat in the area. Camp site is clean and quiet, close to 80 West, and ...there are cows!

Very cute little spot! We set up a tent here by the barn. We were very happy to have a port-o-potty on site. The view was beautiful and the cats are adorable and friendly. We spent a nice peaceful night here. If we ever come back this way, we will stop here again. Thanks for everything!

Andrew‘s place is easy to find and he’s very communicative and accommodating. The place is peaceful and the cats are the absolute best. It’s also close to lots of things worth seeing. I hope to go back for some of that beef!

Andrew was a very kind host. Please read his description before booking and ask questions if you’re wanting a specific type of campsite.
this is a working farm near a working rail line. I had a lovely stay- the trains move slowly and it was very calming for me. They do blast their horns so if you think this will keep you from resting- don’t book! Andrew has lived/is living a good life and was interesting to talk with. I don’t usually stay at the same place twice but I would hear just to see what he’s up to! If you enjoy hiking, the Castalia Quarry is fascinating!! about 8 mins from the farm.

Andrew has plenty of space, water, a porta-john, and a friendly way of hosting. We showed up with two people, two horses, and a dog, then had dinner and breakfast guests. Everything was great!

I loved camping in my travel trailer at the farm! The scenery was beautiful, and the sound of the train at night was a bonus for me :) Andrew was very welcoming and helpful, and I enjoyed getting to be up close and personal with a couple of the cows and a few really sweet farm cats. It’s a short drive to Cedar Point, grocery stores, and 2 miles to camp Sandusky (convenient for dumping tanks if needed).
I would recommend staying here, and hope to stay again when I visit the area!
