Really fun place to stay. Me, my partner, and little dog had a wonderful time staying in this camper. Had everything we needed and very close to anything else one may want/need. Very comfy bed. Amazing outdoor shower. The patio and fire pit areas are also incredible to be in at the beginning and end of each day. Super relaxing. Will certainly be back.

We had a great stay at Dragonfly!! The camper was absolutely adorable and as described! It was immaculate, well stocked, and everything worked perfectly! The beds were comfortable and the heat worked well and kept us nice and toasty! Whether you want to cook on a stove or a nice grill, this place gives you both options! The location was perfect...close to all the wonderful things that Asheville has to offer, yet when we were at Dragonfly, it felt like we were truly camping! The stars were exceptionally brilliant at night and the outdoor seating area was comfortable and cozy! We used the camper as a base camp and hiked some incredible trails, including Max Patch on the Appalachian Trail! If you have time to make the hour drive, this is a must see for all hikers! Han (the owner) was responsive to our needs and accomodated my Siberian Huskies. I truly cannot say enough good things about this location...we absolutely loved it and will definitely be returning for future visits!

My partner and I really enjoyed staying in this camper for 5 nights. It had everything we needed, and we enjoyed using the firepit and outdoor furniture areas, too. The location seemed to be perfect for us - everything we wanted to see and do was only a 10–15-minute drive away. We saw black bears, wild turkeys, and piliated woodpeckers nearby, and a cute bunny visited the site every evening.

Perfectly unique way to enjoy the Asheville area off the beaten path. Camper is in a rural setting despite being 10 minutes from downtown Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway and is well appointed inside, covered deck is great for morning coffee - we even saw a small bear walking along the driveway one morning (they aren’t aggressive). We really appreciated that the kitchen was stocked with some basics and the outdoor shower was incredible - surrounded by towering bamboo. Would highly recommend

Great find! As others have mentioned, super close to downtown Asheville yet still tucked away to allow for calming relaxation. We’d been to Asheville previously, but this was the best find for seclusion + close proximity to the to town.
We trusted Han’s recommendations for eats/activities and he did not disappoint. Hopped into the outdoor shower quickly (hot water!) and easily caught an Uber into town. Everything about this camper allows for a seamless Asheville experience. We’d love to be back and would absolutely recommend to all!

Han's vintage camper is a gem! The location is perfect -- just far enough away (up a mountain road) that you truly feel far away from everything, yet just minutes from downtown Asheville, and even closer to a grocery store and other creature comforts on Tunnel Road. Han and his family are in the house right next door if you need anything, but the space still felt fairly private.
In terms of the unit, everything has been so well maintained (and likely restored in some cases.) Everything we needed worked perfectly: refrigerator, freezer, stove, oven, microwave and of course the bathroom. Like many campers, you have to manually light the pilot to use the oven, but we figured that out quickly. We were actually planning to eat out more, but we really enjoyed cooking on site and ended up only going out once over a holiday weekend. (We didn't use the grill, just the stove/oven.)
There is an indoor shower, but we exclusively used the outdoor shower, which is great. Space is at a premium, and there's likely no way for two people to share the bed without one having to climb over the other to get out, but this was a massive upgrade over the tents and hammocks we usually use for camping. The fire pit and provided firewood was a nice bonus, and despite it being Labor Day weekend, the weather was so mild that we didn't use the AC at all, and ate all our meals in the sitting area on the deck. If you are looking to camp without the annoyances, this is a fantastic find.

This camper was perfect! It has everything you would need, but still feels like camping/glamping. The outside shower among the bamboo and trees is heavenly. I stayed two days and three nights and it was the perfect distance to be able to do day trips to Great Smoky National Park and the waterfalls in Brevard/DuPont National Forest as well as dip into downtown Asheville several times. Han was super attentive and a great host. As a solo female traveler I really loved that I felt totally secluded and private in this location (it is so blissfully quiet at night) but was actually nestled in a little pocket of houses which helped me feel safer. The bed is incredibly comfortable too. I would totally recommend staying in the Dragonfly camper!

The camper was lovely and so tranquil! It was quick and easy access to downtown, just a short drive, but yet so removed from the bustle and noise. It was exactly what I was looking for. The communication with the owners was perfect! I even had a last minute day added and they were very accommodating. The sunrise through the bamboo from the adirondack chairs/deck was lovely. Mostly - the outdoor shower in the bamboo with the birds chirping .. heavenly! If I am back in the area on a solo vist I will definitely reach out again!

This was everything I sought and more. Space was super tidy, welcoming, and well-stocked. Han was the best host: quick with fantastic local recommendations, and really respectful of my solitude/privacy while being ready to jump in if I needed anything.
I’m excited to stay here again sometime!

One of my best friends from college and I decided to take a last minute trip to Asheville — I was visiting her in Charlotte for the first time since she moved there years ago — and we are so glad we found the Dragonfly! It wasn’t quite as isolated as we thought it might be; there are definitely neighbors in sight. But ultimately it provided a sweetly snug space that held us in many long-awaited catch-up convos and tender heart-to-hearts. The camper is very cute, clean, and very well maintained! The kitchen was well stocked with all the standard utensils and dish ware you might need, and the bed was oh so comfy; a little on the firmer side, which I liked. The complimentary coffee and bubbly water was also a nice touch. :) It was chilly and rainy outside, so we didn’t get to enjoy the patio or the fire pit much, but the heating system in the camper worked very well and kept us nice and toasty! Living in a culture of excess, my friend and I loved having an experience that reminded us how little we actually need to feel comfortable and at home.
Han was a wonderfully communicative and attentive host. We didn’t actually get to meet IRL, but he was very quick to respond to my questions! The morning we were to leave, I asked last minute for a late checkout, which Han gladly accommodated. We realized later that Daylight Savings cost us an hour; no wonder we woke up so groggy! So I’m really glad Han was able and willing to be flexible with our checkout. Overall a great experience!

This is a fantastic camper in a perfect location. Only a few minutes from downtown Asheville but in a secluded feeling area, it is a perfect spot for a weekend getaway. The camper has all the amenities that you could need, and the large deck, fire pit, outdoor shower, and plenty of outdoor seating are great additions. I have to say that the bed is quite comfortable as well, and the wifi is fast if you need it. Han is a very welcoming host and easy to get in touch with.
