This site was everything we were looking for! Beautiful views, quiet location, wildlife and river access. The hosts Steve and Penny were wonderful and even gave us some information on things to do in the area along with restaurant suggestions. We will definitely be going back with our kids next season!

Beautiful property. Our families enjoyed the peace and quiet. Little to no traffic along the road. I think we saw 10 cars all weekend! And the River is gorgeous. We definitely want to get back in the summer and enjoy some tubing. And town is less than a 20 minute drive to enjoy restaurants and shopping. Thanks Steve and Penny.

Great campsite with great views. Steve and Penny were there to meet us with information about the area. Very helpful and welcoming. Will definitely go back. ONE of the most relaxing trips we have had. Thanks for letting us visit your place. It is beautiful. Thanks for the tip about Lansing Day. We went and it was awesome! Dogs loved it too.

Great place to stay! Host are great people and very welcoming. The campsite is very private and has amazing views. We enjoyed relaxing fires every night and watching the fog lift to coffee in the morning. The access to the river is a huge plus. The trail to get to the river is beautiful itself, but the river front is perfect. Our dogs enjoyed running around and we enjoyed relaxing by the water. This place is added to our list of sites that we will be returning to in the future.

It was great. We loved having our meals out under the pavilion, rain or shine. It was also wonderful letting the dogs run around unleashed. They were able to run out some energy and crash. The river is truly picturesque. Steve and Penny were quick to respond and very accommodating.

We had a fabulous time camping at Peak-a-View!
We were welcomed by Penny, and she even had a bag with brochures to local activities. So very thoughtful!
Full-hook up, private, AND gorgeous views could it get any better?! Yes, it can...because there was a magical trail to hike down to the river!
We floated down the rapids, went fishing, and played games (there is an overhang at the river with chairs and a table).
Our pup was able to roam free, and our children were able to ride their bikes down the drive.
We were able to enjoy the firepit with the two chairs, and they provided firewood!
The stars put on a show, since there is not light pollution.
We saw many birds, butterflies, wild turkeys, and deer.
The covered patio with picnic tables and trash cans was great for meals and games.
There are a lot of great local hiking trails; we enjoyed hiking in Mount Jefferson State Natural Area. We also had a lovely time exploring downtown.
We will be back!

This is the best HipCamp site we have stayed at so far. Fantastic setup and location. Access to the river is very nice, and a little less than a mile walk up and down hill (bring the tubes!)

Steve and Penny are amazing hosts. They met us at the property and made sure we knew our way around and gave us a ton of things to do nearby. The property is large, clean and private. The views from the site are amazing and having the pavilion as an option for a hangout, or for some foul weather is an added bonus.
The riverfront has a little shelter with some chairs and you can pack a cooler and hang down there all day if you like. Be mindful it’s about 3/4 mile down and uphill, but it’s more than worth it. We’ll definitely be coming back.

We had an excellent time! Steve and Penny were welcoming and all around great hosts, the camp site is isolated and private, and the walk to the river is a great activity by itself. Such a beautiful slice of the mountains and we can't wait to return!

Beautiful property and incredibly welcoming hosts. Steve and Penny are top notch, easily the best experience with a hipcamp host that we've had. Site itself was also incredible. Easy access to New River on the property and close proximity to Zaloo's for shuttling services. We will definitely be coming back.

A Perfect Family Retreat at Peak A View!
What a fantastic camp space for families! We recently stayed at Peak A View with our four kids and had an absolutely wonderful time.
From the moment we arrived, Penny and Steve were amazing at check-in. They greeted us warmly, showed us around the property, and instantly made us feel comfortable and at home. Their hospitality truly set the tone for a fantastic stay.
The pavilion space was a huge highlight. It provided the perfect spot for cooking meals together and enjoying family game nights, even after the sun went down.
The river was incredibly relaxing, offering a tranquil place for us to sit and unwind. Our kids, in particular, were thrilled with the daily fishing opportunities and spent hours by the water's edge.
Above all, the peaceful quietness of the property was truly the best. It allowed for a serene and restorative experience, making Peak A View an ideal getaway from the hustle and bustle of daily life. We highly recommend this camp space for anyone looking for a relaxing and family-friendly outdoor adventure!

This was one of the best family trips we have ever been on! The secluded site lets you enjoy what’s important, your family and nature! Beautiful views, a beautiful walk to a river access and awesome wild life to watch. We met Steve and Penny upon our arrival and they were very welcoming and awesome hosts! The covered shelter beside the site was awesome for keeping you out of the sun and saved us from being stuck in the camper during a few rain showers. We will definitely be back!

This is THE spot! We will definitely be returning. Highly recommend!! It is hard to come across a spot with full hook ups without being at a busy campground so finding this spot was really nice. We spent all weekend down by the river fishing and floating in some rafts. It is a really peaceful & beautiful spot.

Steve and Penny were great host and they own a peice of property that we would love to have. Theywere very responsive and asked us to call if we had any questions. Very few campsites allow you to invite friends and your group is the only ones there. They have an awesome spot on the river to swim or fish but bring your hiking boots it's a trek. The best part of the campsite was the giant overhand with power and lights allowing to socialize with your friends through out the day and way into the night. It is also an awesome shelter to get out of the weather rain or shine. This site is definitely getting put into my favorites on hipcamp.

We loved camping at Steve & Penny's property in our 43 foot Winnebago Tour motorhome! Steve met us when we arrived and was the perfect host! Penny checked in with us during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. The spot was level and spacious and the covered shelter was perfect for having meals and sitting outside with the dogs watching the deer in the field. The mountain view was gorgeous and the entire area was peaceful and quiet. We walked down to the river and the walk was spectacular from the beautiful trees, nice wide trail and creek, we loved every second of it. We even saw two large deer run across the trail. We let the dogs rest under the shelter they built by the river before heading back up the hill. If you're looking for a relaxing, quiet weekend, this is the perfect place to go.

We loved the level lay of the site and could choose how we pulled in. There is an enormous covered shelter with lights that is perfect for gathering for meals. The property is beautiful with views of the mountains and it was such a peaceful setting! We loved watching the deer at dusk and fireflies light up the night!
