We loved Farm Away From Home! Nikki was super helpful and friendly and the space was always clean and serene. The goats, sheep and Sophie the Scottish Highland cow were a lot of fun to visit and feed. We were treated to the freshest eggs around (hens on property) and enjoyed watching the birds come to their feeders every day. (Nikki kept them stocked with seed.) This was such a relaxing spot, we hope to return to it again and again. We felt like we were in the country, but only 13 minutes to downtown Weaverville & maybe 20 minutes to downtown Asheville. Plus the cute town of Mars Hill was super close, with coffee shops and a beautiful college campus. We also got to see a local rodeo in Marshall... nothing professional, just the good people from that community. Farm Away From Home was a fantastic spot to stay!

This place was awesome if you are an animal lover. The goats, cow, and sheep are so friendly. We partook in the fresh eggs and brought carrots for the goats. Steph and Nikki were great hosts and provided us with anything we needed. Would no doubt stay here again if we get back to Asheville.

We loved this HipCamp and our site (#5). The animals were so entertaining and it was very quiet and peaceful. The hosts were responsive and made us feel welcome to feed the animals and even get fresh eggs! We did the Navitat zip lining nearby and it was excellent. Easy drive to Weaverville and Asheville as well.

We really liked the surroundings, lots of trees and a small stream behind our rig. The goats were constant entertainment for us and our grandkids - we loved them. Weaverville was very close and had everything that we needed. We also drove into Asheville for BBQ and that was an easy drive. We found the campground to be very quiet. Our hosts were very responsive to anything that we needed. We would definitely visit again.

Our site was super tidy and the property is very well kept. My kids enjoyed all the animals and the private lane to ride their bikes in. Campsites are close but the other campers were quiet so we didn't mind it.

This camp spot was amazing! It was easy in and out with our travel trailer. We enjoyed feeding the farm animals and loving on them everyday. It’s real close to Asheville. We went into town a few times during our stay. The host is quick to respond and welcoming. We have zero complaints. It is now one of our favorite spots for sure!

The farm is amazing, we loved our stay. The place was quiet, clean and the staff is great.
The animals are very well handled and the owners respect them. Our kids absolutely loved to feed the animals, we will be back for sure.

We greatly enjoyed this stay! The hosts were very helpful and responsive. The site was well maintained and the animals were unforgettable. Never had such an easy time getting our daughter out of bed. Leaving the goats was hard!

Had a great time at Farm Away from Home! Loved interacting with and feeding all of the farm animals, especially the goats. The site was super quiet and relaxing. My kids loved playing in the creek behind the campsite. Only negative is the neighbors site was practically on top of us - we really only could situate the picnic table right next to their sewer hookup or under their slide out window. Other than that, we had a great time and really enjoyed spending time at the campsite and surrounding towns!

Steph & Nikki’s little farm is the perfect little getaway. With only 5 sites, you feel like it’s a very personal experience. The animals are close, fun to love on and feed. Downtown Weaverville is cute! Asheville is close by and we even ventured out for some hiking! We would definitely stay here again!

Gravel sites are clean and have electricity, water and sewer along with a picnic table and fire pit. We were close to our neighbors but they were friendly and quiet. The little farm is compact and accessible. It was fun to watch the kids feed the animals. The man who tends the animals was very helpful.

Site 1 ended up having some electrical issues, but they were quick to respond and send someone out to help us. We ended up moving to site 3 and it was perfect. The animals are such a big bonus of this place! Our daughter LOVED visiting the animals every day (multiple times a day). Even with all the sites full it was very quiet and relaxing. Thank you for sharing this great place with us!

This great campground was perfect for our 2 night stay in Asheville. The sight was level and hook-ups were easy. The farm is charming, we really enjoyed watching the baby goats. We felt safe and slept well in this peaceful, lovely location. One thing you should know, there were a lot of bees (honey bees) in the shrubs lining each campsite. They didn’t really bother us, no stings, but were constantly around our chairs and picnic table. If you have a bee allergy, you should be prepared.

Site was clean, WiFi was excellent, fun petting goats and llamas. Even used 3 eggs fresh from chicken coup. Only critique was communication. Our booking email said we’d be greeted by host but no one really ever showed up. We had 3 spots and we all sent texts and called to get WiFi password first night since it was imperative to get phone calls with an ill family member. We did not receive a response until next day and found out the manager lived in one of the RV spots down from us. Other than that, the place is neat and clean. Just get WiFi password before showing up since there’s no cell signal.

We loved our stay at Steph and Nikki’s. The animals were so cute and friendly. The camp sites were level, clean and spacious! If you are looking for a convenient spot in the Asheville area to park a camper or RV, this a great place.

We had a great time! What a beautiful spot! The kids spent so much time with the animals. They have already asked when we can return. We are local and will book again for a quick getaway! The bonus of having full hookup is priceless:-)

This may be prettiest BEST campsite in all of North Carolina. On a quiet small farm 30 mins west of Asheville. The setting is absolutely idyllic and not one I've seen anywhere before. The animals offer a unique setting with pigs, goats, donkeys, etc. The site itself sits just above the Pigeon river and worked perfectly for our small RV. The wooded laurel next to river is also free to use and would be a perfect spot for a tent. We had the place to ourselves and enjoyed every last minute. Steph and Nikki were fantastic and accommodating while allowing for our privacy.
If you are looking for crowds, noise or a party, head somewhere else. If you appreciate quiet solitude in a STUNNING setting, this is the one.

Location was very nice. The goats, cow, sheep and alpacas were a nice touch. We enjoyed feeding the animals and watching them go about their daily business. Location was close enough to Asheville for our visit and was a great base for hitting some of the mountain biking options in the area. I would definitely stay at this location again.
