Nero Coffee is a coffee brand based in the mountains on Western North Carolina, so when you camp at Nero Coffee + Camp you can enjoy a great cup of coffee (free coffee in my "coffee shed" on property!) and enjoy a relaxing spot in the mountains. Nero Coffee's mission is to create connection between people through sharing great coffee and conversation outdoors. I started Nero Coffee in 2019 and purchased 6 acres near DuPont State Forest to share my land and create my own coffee campground to continue growing the mission. Update for 2024! Nero Coffee's Camping Spot has three ways to camp. Site 1: Glamping in my custom built (and way too adorable) mini A frame cabin. This cabin is tucked in the rhododendrons for complete privacy. Enjoy the super comfy bed and unique lifting side door to let the outdoors in :) or Site 2: Camping with room for up to 8 guests. There are multiple sites and so much room to spread out for groups up to 8 people. This year I am only opening tent camping for one group at a time so you can experience the mountains in the most peaceful setting. The upper camping area has plenty of flat areas for vans, cars, trucks and tents, and if you don't mind carrying our tent down the hill, the lower creekside camping area is THE PERFECT stargazing spot. There's plenty of room to set up any size tent down there, too. basically, You have the campground to make yourself totally at home. Site 3: Simple Car Camping Spot - Just want a spot to pull over camp for the night close toDuPont State Forest? We can make that happen. No tents allowed here, but it's a peaceful alternative to a cracker barrel parking lot. ----- Once you set up camp feel free to visit the Coffee Shed - It's a small shed on the property by the house that has everything you need to make a great cup of coffee. Coffee is always free. :) I have fire pits, tables an, if I am home, I have a super cute corgi that roams around the property throughout the day. If you spot me outside feel free to say hi or ask any questions about the area. I love helping guests find new places to explore. You will be about 8 minutes to DuPont State Forest (my favorite hiking and biking area) which has miles and miles of hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding trails. The entrance to Pisgah National Forest is about 15 minutes away as well so it's a convenient drive to visit the forest and drive up to the Blue Ridge Parkway. I also own a company that guides "coffee hikes" to local waterfalls in DuPont State forest. You can find more about that in the photo descriptions. :) Please note!! My road up to my driveway is steep and bumpy. It’s only 0.3 miles up but bumpy. You don't need four wheel drive but higher ground clearance is recommended. (I have had small cars make it up but it is a bit intimidating if you are not used to driving in the mountains). if you have a small car just go slow. :) ------- Larger group? Want an indoor bath and shower?? If you are planning a larger group camping retreat and want to book the entire campground (including the main house with indoor shower, restrooms, and full kitchen and spare bedroom) I can make that happen for $500 a night. It's honestly the perfect spot for private, group camping and glamping up to 15 people. Just send me your date request and I will share a link to book if your dates are available. (2 night minimum for all full campground requests)

There's an upper and lower camping area just for you and your group to spread out and enjoy some time in the mountains. If you're in a van or rooftop tent you can choose any of the flat spots around the coffee shed - plenty of room for parking and tents and if you are up to carrying your setup down the short trail, you can set up a tent in the lower camping area. Plenty of room along the small creek for multiple tents. Even if you don't camp down there, you can use the hammocks and large fire pit down there - great spot for stargazing. :)

The perfect cozy spot to unplug in the mountains! I feel like lots of descriptions try to "oversell" you so I'll share a few things i genuinely love about my mini a-frame. - It's in the most peaceful setting - it's like camping but wayyy cozier - with a super comfy bed :) - You'll feel secluded but just steps in the forest from your parking spot + only 15 min. to Hendersonville and 17 to Brevard - You can open the side door to let the outdoors in and create a covered patio - My own brand of coffee is always included The space This mini A frame cabin has been a dream of mine to build and I am so excited to share it with you. It is tucked only steps up the hill by the trickling creek (when we are not in a drought) in what I think is the most magical spot on my property. It just feels peaceful when you are there :) We worked hard to make it feel at home there so we didn't do much clearing - we just worked with the land that was there and tucked the cabin right in. As you walk up the stone step path you will hear the creek, see mountain laurel, rhododendrons, mountains in the distance, and if you are lucky you may spot a white squirrel or two. :) Also I have a thing for gnomes so you'll see some hidden around the area too :) Guest access There is a code to enter your cabin. The portable toilet and outdoor, hot shower (not available in winter) are shared spaces with people camping in the camping area. There are never more than 1 other group camping at once, so sharing shower time is not an issue. You have your own private hammock area. You have your own private fire pit and gas grill You can also use the private fire pit and picnic table area near your parking spot if you want to use that space as well. Other things to note Please note that the setting of this cabin is private, but it is possible you can hear noises (like the occasional bark from my loudmouth corgi ha) from my nearby home or the camping area.

My husband and I enjoyed the peace and sunshine at the A-frame! Directions getting there and to parking were easy, just noting that the road itself (last two minutes of driving) is a bit gnarly, but manageable (driving a RAV). And everything in the cabin felt secluded and sweet! We're grateful for the coffee and treat, as well as the noon checkout to fully enjoy the solitude of the surroundings. Would stay again!

My daughter and I had wonderful time camping on Katelyn's property. It was extremely quiet and secluded with plenty of flat ground for setting up our tent. Because the coffee shack was temporarily out of order, Katelyn graciously offered us access to her house and set up a coffee station in her kitchen. She was also very helpful and responsive and we would definitely like to visit again. Highly recommend!

What a phenomenal trip! My friend and I camped out at Katlyn's group camping spot. Her in a tent and me hanmocked in the trees. It was so beautiful and peaceful! Katlyn was out of town, but sweet enough to offer us use of her bathroom for showers, etc. and the coffee setup in the kitchen was great! So many options.. drip, French press, pour over, etc. It rained like holy hell overnights, but we still really enjoyed ourselves, and the hot showers were amazing! Also, the A frame looks super cute... Can't wait to stay there next time!

We loved spending the night and fully plan on coming back! The A-frame had everything we could ever need to show up, enjoy the views, and relax night for the evening in nature. Loved meeting our hosts (including their cute little corgi) and enjoyed the Nero coffee! Thank you to the hosts for such a wonderful experience.

Perfect and exactly as pictured! Absolutely adorable little cottage with a "treehouse" feel as it was tucked in nicely off the main road. We were actually surprised by how well we slept, bed very comfy and allthough snug accommodation, everything was very well-appointed. Used the grill and French press and worked well for us. Our mission on the trip wad to star-gaze and mission accomplished! Fantastic visibility. Katlyn was helpful and responsive leading up and during our stay. It was puppy approved too- our Koozie lived his best life.

First off I am terrible at writing reviews. However, I will take the time for places that stand out. Katlyn goes out of her way to make every bit of accommodation available for you to feel right at peace. The Coffee shack is welcoming and warming. Plenty of firewood and space to just enjoy the night. For you mountain bikers this is a must stay! The place is situated 10ish minutes from Dupont or Kanuga and many more. Stay here its worth it! The driveway is steep, you don't need a 4x4 but be prepared, and if you have an offroad capable teardrop-ish sized camper it will more than make it. Otherwise, take advantage of a group area large enough for some tents and groups of friends to enjoy the scenery!

We loved the A frame, with the side door open and the creek babbling away you could easily spend the whole time doing absolutely nothing. The spot that the A frame Is placed is perfect, looks like it's been there forever. The whole property is incredibly charming, the coffee hut is well stocked and had a great variety to choose from. We will definitely return whenever we can.

Great place to stay with super comfy bed! Me and my black lab loved the A-frame and would stay there again. The only bummer was the outdoor shower not working due to the time of year. Be sure to check if there is a burn ban which was another drawback but overall pleasant place to stay.

I enjoyed being able to drive right up to my site. Also the host let me borrow cooking utensils when needed. Having a water source and a place to use the bathroom was a plus as well. Katlyn was very friendly and generous.

This place was absolutely amazing! The spot was nice, but was made better by the host’s attention to detail! I was greeted with candy and a nice note, along with a water! The spot was absolutely perfect and I will be recommending the spot and coming back in the future.

We loved camping at Katlyns place! We originally planned to car camp but misjudged our set up, she was super flexible about us switching to the A-frame cabin instead since we also didn't have a tent. The A-frame was adorable and cozy. The path to it felt like you stumbled upon a tiny cabin in the woods. We liked the included games and the shower was amazing, I'm a sucker for outdoor showers. If we had to find a negative the only one would be the bathroom isn't the best for middle of the night bathroom trips. The path is relatively well lit up, and it's still better than finding a spot in the woods, if you're up a lot in the middle of the night I'd maybe consider one of Katlyns other sites. Our favorite part by far was having the side door open on the A-frame, perfect for cozying up on a cool night! The only thing that might have topped it would be if we met Hootie. Overall we enjoyed ourselves, Katlyn was super easy to contact with questions. We would definitely stay again!

We were a bit confused at first where to park since there was a tent in the area that said park, but we fit all cars fine. The coffee was great and we spoke with the other campers who were very friendly. I wouldn’t recommend bringing small cars because the road up is quite steep and has lots of bumps and holes. We had AWD so this wasn’t an issue for us.

Great fall spot - loved how close this was to Jeter Mountain Orchard. My partner and I stayed at the lower creek site and enjoyed the space. There is a fire ring and table for your convenience. Our tent staked down easily in the ground. The coffee was a welcomed touch and helped make the visit great! Don’t pack too heavy if you are staying on the lower level since there is about a 60 ft walk, but this wasn’t a problem for us. Totally recommend!

Such a fun weekend!! If you’re on the verge of deciding where to stay, look no further! The host is an amazing person and very kind to everyone. It’s also in close proximity to multiple waterfalls and hiking trails so be sure to bring those hiking boots!
