Very silent camping area with open field and no other campers. Water and electric worked perfectly with no issue. Only 15 min from the state park.

Great spot, excellent for star-gazing. Loved hearing the babbling brook behind the site and enjoyed the excellent well-maintained campfire spot and the trees were hardy and well-spaced for hammocks. Waking up to the roosters was super nostalgic and a great surprise to score some eggs too. Felt very private and safe; the porta potty was extremely clean and a nice touch with the light for nighttime. Would recommend making sure you have all your groceries/water/etc before you arrive to save you a trip into town-we stuck around the campsite, but seems like a perfect jumping off point for Hanging Rock state park.

This is a wonderful cabin getaway. The grounds were well kept, the cabin was comfortable and Darin was so great deal with. It is close to Hanging Rock SP which was a plus. I would definitely stay here when I’m in the area.

The camping sight was beautiful and clean. Darin was so kind after we got set up he came down to say hello and give us some fresh eggs. The area was very well kept. The portapotty was clean and had a little light which was a nice touch. It was about a 30 min drive to anywhere we went (which was fine by us). Be prepared though if you have att cell service there was just enough to get a text out. It was private, you could hear the traffic, the tree line kept you from seeing them too much. And the owners house was covered by some trees as well. Would definitely come back.

Very private site near Hanging Rock State park. The cabin stayed cool during the day and warm at night. The bed was super comfortable and the site was setup with everything you'd need for a weekend camp trip! We enjoyed our trip!

Beautiful little property in the mountains! Very peaceful and quiet, our kids and dogs loved running around. Chickens were always entertaining and if you get the chance to look at the stars at night….do it, no light pollution at all! 15 min max to Hanging Rock State Park and a half hour to multiple vineyards.

Quiet, well equipped little cabin. The fire pit, chairs, and picnic table were really nice. The portapotty was clean. I appreciated all the items available (hand/dish washing station, shower, cooler, grill, pots, dishes) since we of course forgot a few things. Secluded, but safe. The bed was very comfortable. Nicely cleared area, safe for my toddler to run around. Beautiful area. We will definitely be back.

Great location close to Hanging Rock, peaceful, nice basic kitchen set up. Trail onsite (which we plan to explore next time) Very cozy, host is very nice, went out of his way to make our stay wonderful ! The driveway is steep, my ford fiesta could not make it up the incline. I parked at the landing just at the bottom of the hill. Otherwise 11/10 we will definitely be back anytime we are in the area!!!

I had an amazing time at the cabin. I would 100% come back to this location. My favorite thing about this location are all of the paths you’re able to explore. There’s a really nice little river on the property you should check out if you have time. I don’t have anything to say about this location but there are a lot of spider webs and frogs. I actually accidentally stepped on a big one after dark but he was fine. The owners came and changed out trash and they were very nice people. If you’re looking for a nice secluded area this is a great spot.

The location is great if you like a private experience with nice open skies. It was cloudy for our stay, but out in the countryside I bet the stars would have been amazing. That was the reason I had picked this location but Mother Nature was not nice to me. The campsite was really nice though. The grass area is well kept, there is a nice picnic table for your use. There is a wood shed with bundled wood with a box for cash on the honor system. The outhouse was really clean and well kept and had hand sanitizer and wet wipes as well. The sound of the small creek behind the site is pleasant. The rock firepit was really nice as well. They have chickens and roosters here, and they seem to have access to roam outside their pen, so if you have pets, be aware that they do come to your campsite with no fear. My dogs were very interested in them...probably not in a good way, so we made sure they were under control and the chickens stayed safe. Just something to be aware of if you have aggressive dogs towards chickens. Owners are super responsive with replies and take more of a hands-off approach, so if you like to be greeted upon arrival, you might want to arrange that with them. A private site with water and power (20/30/50 amp breaker) at this price with this much space, fantastic bargain for some nice camping. Definitely would recommend this location, especially to visit Hanging Rock SP, 10 miles away.

The cabin was fantastic. It was tucked back away giving you the feeling of being secluded which was exactly what we wanted. The outdoor shower was great for rinsing off. If you have charcoal you are good to go out there. They have almost every amenity; grill, campfire pit, fire wood, Adirondack chairs, and more. We loved it. It was perfectly located for us between Hanging Rock and Pilot Mountain. Will definitely book this place again!

We absolutely loved this spot! Extremely private, tons of space, and the host was so kind and friendly. We camped with an RV as well as a tent. Our three doggies loved going in and out of the creek all weekend, we enjoyed a nice hike at the Lower Cascades of Hanging Rock. Great trees creek side for hammocks, lots of shade and very flat. Host delivered us dry wood once we realized the available wood had gotten too wet to burn from the rain. He also changed the trash out every day for us. We will definitely be back at this spot. It was perfect and very serene. The golden retriever of the dog pack even took it up on himself to "guard" the nearby chickens and they didn't mind one bit. Truly a great find!

We loved tent camping in Darin & Beth’s land. The site was easily accessible, well managed and secluded enough for peaceful time. The hosts were warmly welcoming and responsive. Wide space with green grasses, chicken barn, and trees enough to provide shades. Highly recommend.

We were looking for a space that was private versus a state campground. It is a totally private. Nice shade.
The site lists available outhouse or bathroom facilities. Cannot remember the wording.
Other than a tree, there’s nothing available.
I understand if someone has a camper or RV not needing a bathroom, although there’s no place to dump black water… tent camping does require a bathroom. We did not contact the hosts- we did not have cell service- and I did not want to drive down the road to get service to call and ask.
So to me, it’s a bit spendy to go to the bathroom behind a tree.
Fire pit was awesome. Firewood available and fairly priced. We enjoyed our two days but I won’t be back.

Everything was absolutely amazing! Definitely planning on going back. Private, secluded, perfect amenities, cabin was adorable and very comfortable. Didn’t see a single person the entire time we were camping. It was the best getaway.

This was a a great find, centrally located between Hanging Rock (15 mins) and Pilot Mountain (25 mins), so everything was quickly accessible. Campsite is super private, with a picnic table, fire ring, and great trees to hang a hammock from. You get great shade under the trees during the day, but also have open sky views for starlink to work. Host were great, even allowed my kids to help him feed his chickens. High recommend spot for anyone looking to spend time in the area.

Had a awesome experience camping here! The site was the cheapest around with power and water hookups. You get a large site all to yourself, no one else around. I was able to let my dogs run free and it was nice and quiet. Couple things to mention. We did not have cell phone coverage, which of course is not the owners fault, its in the middle of mountains. Only thing I could say is I wish the parking pad itself was wider. We had to use some logs to hold the steps of our camper up.

Great camping experience with cover from the rain! We camped for 2 nights and booked this site because of the pretty much constant rain. We had an amazing time and the cabin was perfect. Would definitely come back again sometime.

This cabin is adorable! Super secluded and great location for anyone looking for an off grid stay. We hiked pilot mountain which is only 20 min away and a beautiful hike. And it’s dog friendly! We will definitely be back.

Excellent place! It was really a perfect spot. The cabin is simply adorable. We spent two days hiking at hanging rock and slept the night at the cabin. Everything was perfect-the cabin, the bed, the fire pit, the shower, the port-a potty. Easy to find, excellent directions and easy to access the cabin with code.

We really liked this Hipcamp. It’s remote and private. The gravel driveway is a nice touch (we used levelers on the front wheels) and power/water are a nice touch. The firepit and firewood were perfect. Peaceful sounds from the nearby stream while we slept. Overall excellent!

Quiet and secluded cabin. The host set up a fire ring tripod and Dutch oven for me. Decent spot. Note there is limited cellphone reception, which might be seen as a benefit.

A clean, private fun play area for you and your pets. Myself and two dogs had a great time. Nice trail to the creek. A lot of deer around and the best thing very quite with poor cell service. No distractions from the sounds of nature.

Wonderful! The area was perfect for anyone with a family who wanted an open place with water and electricity, but wanted the privacy. The sound of the creek and wildlife was tranquil at night. The kids loved the open fields and campfire pit.
