Hemlock site (#2)
This was our first HipCamp experience! Drew’s property is quaint and the creek is fun for kids to explore. Love that it was so close to apple picking and downtown Saluda. The property is right on a gravel road that is used sporadically but never feared for our children’s or our dog’s safety. Hookups were easy. Thanks Drew!

Nice site along a quiet road with a pretty creek running past on the opposite side. Looks like Drew put quite a bit of work in getting it back n shape after hurricane Helene. The fresh work can make for dirty boots but we made good use of our outdoor rug to keep it from inside the camper. We pulled up to the well before setting up to fill our tank since water spigot is a little further than the drinking hose we normally carry. Water was tasty and clean and we had no issues with the electricity. Direction to site were spot on, came from Saluda and got to site before tunnel. There is a sign at beginning of the road that indicates the tunnel is down the road but you arrive at the site before the tunnel. Site was pretty level side to side and easy enough to level front to rear with the tongue jack. We would definitely stay again next time we are in the area.

Due to Hurricane Helene, we didn't actually get to take the trip. However, Drew was excellent to work with, giving me a refund without me even asking for one. Excellent communicator as well. My heart goes out to all with the damage from Hurricane Helene.

Great First Time Camping Experience

This was our first-ever camping experience with a brand-new travel trailer, as well as our first time using Hipcamp.
Drew was an outstanding host. We were lucky he was there when we arrived; he helped us get the trailer parked, leveled and properly hooked up to power and water. Throughout the weekend, he and his wife were very friendly and helpful.
The site is pretty, quiet, and very close to downtown Saluda. A beautiful waterfall is also a short distance down the road from the camp.
We will definitely be back to this site!

Lovely spot with the babbling brook to enjoy. Wish it hadn’t been right on the road, but there were very few cars so it wasn’t too much of an issue. Also one night the house lights were on and that did take away from the night sky.

Absolutely awesome camp site. We stayed in camp site #2. There is a nice little creek that runs through the property that is right next to the site. It is next to the road, but it has very light traffic and it moves slow. The host Drew is super friendly and was very helpful. It only has a 50 amp hookup so bring a converter if you are a 30 amp. The town of Saluda is with in walking distance and very nice. Plenty of good places to eat. I will come back here for sure!!

Tranquil spot ideally located between Saluda and Tryon. This is a nature lovers dream, I love the stream and picnic table. Drew is extremely accommodating, excellent communication and a great host!

This was a great two RV campsite that you can enjoy with your RV friend as we did. Both sites sit directly on a nice stream on a very private road. Overlooking the mountain. Definitely a cool spot to check out.

This spot was perfect! Lovely site next to a bubbling creek. Space to sit outside and even hang a hammock. Host was very responsive and helpful. Saluda is a cute little town with restaurants and shops. Lots of great hiking in the area.

Great location in beautiful secluded valley. Site #2 is parallel to the road but minimal traffic did not bother us at all. No Verizon service, ATT did work and wifi was fast and reliable. Host provided extra water hose and adapter for 50 am to 30amp outlet so everything we needed was there. Note that narrow tunnel means you must turn around to drive out same way you come in. We were able to back into site #1 with no problem and turn around that way. There is so much to see and do nearby the location is just great. We would definitely book again.

Stream Side RV Spot (#1)
This is our second trip to Stream Side, now there are two spots. Perfect location for road cycling. I jumped into the Hincape Gran Fondo yesterday which had the Saluda Grade and Green River Cove full of cyclists. We went to the Tap Room at Saluda Outdoors both nights for a couple of beers. Thanks Drew for the great spot. It now has Wi Fi that let us stream Gamecock football, which wasn’t a good thing. We will be back!

First trip to Saluda did not disappoint. This camp site was easy to access and a great location to camp. Drew is very accommodating with information and even supplies on site. I highly recommend getting out on a hike, going to an Apple ochard, and tasting all the delicious food downtown. I look forward to returning!

Stream Side RV Spot (#1)
We were a little apprehensive about camping right off a public road but it turned out great. The spot was easy to get into and it was close to Saluda which has good restaurants and bars and nice people. The road biking is as good as it gets. I just road up the hard packed gravel road about 3/4 mile and the Saluda Grade was right there or Green River Cove was a left turn away. We will definitely be back!

Stream Side RV Spot (#1)
This was a great little space. At first it seemed a little weird (just parking off the road, as opposed to in a yard or campground), but it was quiet and cozy. Gravel spot with a picnic table and fire ring provided. I only spent one night and didn't use the water, but had no issues with electric.
Drew was very clear about check in instructions and was quick to respond to any questions I had.
I'd stay again :)

It was a nice spot, quite and no cell signal to bother you. Drew provide extra hose, (we needed more than 60 feet), adapters for our electoral hook up, and fire wood. There was a small creek, picnic table, and fire ring. We think we saw a couple of otters but they moved pretty quick so we didn't get a good look. It would have been better to be a little further from the road but it was a good site.
