The land seemed beautiful. I got there at night and didn't end up staying, so I can't say too much about the experience I was going to have. I'm sure it was lovely though.

Excellent stay! Beautiful space, very peaceful, short drive to Wilmington. Lots of fun little trails to walk our dog, who had the BEST time. Beautiful goats. Host keeps to themselves while still being very welcoming and warm. The compostable toilet area is as described. The free fire wood is great but I'm very glad they accept donations, the wood kept us warm and entertained with fires for our entire stay so we were happy to give a little back. Would definitely stay again.

Had an amazing time on this beautiful property!! Fire pits available, spots for hammocks, clean bathroom, and wood onsite. It’s a pretty open area but there are little nooks you can go in for some privacy with plenty of trees between each area. Very cool and unique way of doing things! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you

This is by far my favorite local Hipcamp. Charlotte is always improving the camp, and it's nice to see Gilbert the pony.

Wonderful and peaceful place to camp, easy to find. Plenty of space and lovely surroundings. Charlotte’s home was beautiful with nice landscaping and a donkey and goats. Right near the Moores Creek Battlefield which was very interesting and thought provoking. Will definitely be back!

This place gets better and better. Charlotte is always adding great amenities, from a huge covered area with plenty of power to charge things to even building a small mound to give more of a secluded feel. The toilet is always extremely clean! Love this place.

I loved camping here! I came for a getaway for three nights and it was a blast! I had no car and was able to stay entertained with things to do! The battleground across the street was fun to walk through and learn the history of! I strongly recommend staying here!

The camp hosts are both great people and they take very good care of the grounds. Lots of great accent lighting for magical evenings around the fire, not to mention free firewood! The lane going back to the campgrounds is well maintained and takes you past several historic Volkswagen cars and vans as well as some farm animals that are adorable. I highly recommend if your looking for somewhere to stay in this area!

I've camped here several times but this was the first we shared the campground with others. 3 other groups camped out on one night and it didn't effect the trip at all. There is so much room to spread out with little established sites with firepits for your choosing. Can't wait to go back

WE LOVE CHARLOTTES WHISPERING PINES
We LOVED Charlotte’s place! We had a campout with friends under the stars and it was a beautiful full moon! We WILL be back! The land was clear and well-maintained, the bathroom was clean and well lit, there was pre-cut firewood for the burn pits, trails to walk and explore and so much more! Charlotte was a wonderful host! Cute mini-mule and goat! Was close to a convenience store & a cute hole-in-the-wall breakfast place! Great experience overall!

We stayed at Charlotte’s Hipcamp for a night to celebrate a birthday with friends, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. Right as we arrived, cute signage guided us to the campsite, and we were warmly greeted by Cupid the goat and Gilbert the mini mule – such a fun welcome!
The entire property is beautifully landscaped and well-maintained, and our campsite backed up to Moore’s Creek Battlefield. Charlotte even gave us a quick and fascinating history lesson, which made us appreciate the location even more. The site was perfect for relaxing, with plenty of spots for hammocks, a swing area, and well-kept fire pits that made our evening by the fire memorable.
The restroom facilities were spotless, which was a pleasant surprise. It’s clear the hosts put a lot of effort into making sure everything is clean and comfortable. Speaking of the hosts, Charlotte and Darrell went above and beyond, checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. They’re incredibly friendly, down-to-earth, and truly made us feel at home.
In the morning, we made a quick trip to Johnson’s Corner (just 5 minutes away) for fresh biscuits and drinks before heading back. It was a great way to wrap up our stay.
Overall, this was a fantastic experience – definitely a 12/10! We can’t wait to visit again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and welcoming camping spot.

Great hosts! Wonderful setting. The little out house is very clean and easy access to the shower. The birds, long leaf pine trees and warm Carolina sun are the icing on the cake

The space was awesome. Very cute, lots of privacy, backs up to Moores Creek Battlefield for a quick walk over. Loved the small trails on the property with time to visit the donkey and goats. Short 20-30 min drive to Wilmington and beaches. Would book again!
