I had a great stay at the goat farm! I liked my site, and was able to use the bathroom at the back of the house. I also enjoyed the goats and dogs.

Camping with goats!

We loved camping on Scott’s goat farm! The camping spot was set up with a campfire spot and picnic table, and there was a working toilet on site for us as well. The goat walk and the cows across the field were the best parts! The goats were really cool, and we got to brush them and learn about goat life. Would definitely camp here again!

Rural Hospitality

Scott and Nancy are quite hospitable. They eagerly share space and offer experiences with their goats and chickens, all of which seem well tended. The farm dogs, Lily and Clay, are friendly and yet not intrusive. Fire pits and yard games were available. Our site was level and perfect for our Class B. We did daily driving excursions off property and the return setup every night was just drive up and plug in - perfect! There were some tent campers on sites below us, and all campers seemed content. The small, full restroom attached to the owner's home was sufficient, and, conditions permitting, a couple of options are offered. Please remember: accommodations are shared and everyone's experience is improved when everyone does a quick tidy-up after each use. We enjoyed our stay and would return.

Lots to Love Here

There are so many things to love about Candy Mountain Goat Farm. The Upper RV pad was lovely, private space complete with water and electric. Scott is a friendly, helpful host who took time to welcome us, help us set up camp and introduce us to the friendly goats, chickens and the 2 very friendly pups who also call this little farm their home. It rained on us most of the visit but we still had a fun time shopping goat soaps and lotions in the farm store, walking the trails on the property, cooking up the fresh eggs Scott gathered for us just this morning, watched a movie on the shared Plex server, caught up on blog posts with the free WiFi, and gazing at the beautiful trees all around us.

Everything You Could Need on Site

Such an amazing and beautiful place. My two dogs and loved the place. Scott was an amazing host and had everything and more that anyone could need. For me, the site was close enough to other attractions but yet was also secluded. The site is perfect for people who either want to stay on site and relax or go explore the areas nearby.

Cute farm with some dedicated camping and RV spots. Access to hang with the goats, see a tour, hiking trails, a zip line, and backs up to a cow pasture. Quiet, semi-close together camping slots, friendly staff and their pups. Bathroom with shower attached to the house. I’d go again.

Had so much fun camping out here on this cozy farm. Got there a little late but Scott was still accommodating, helping to get us settled and made sure we had everything we needed. The next morning, he let us pet the goats and told us a lot of interesting facts about them. 10/10 would camp here again!

Although the pictures made it seem like this was bigger, it was really perfect for what we needed and the movie night was great for the kids. Locationally there was plenty of hiking nearby and we enjoyed the stay!

Tucked away in the heart of the mountains, this charming hideaway is the perfect escape from the noise and rush of daily life. Scott, our host, was as warm and welcoming. But the real stars? The goats—endlessly curious, ridiculously cute, and very social. Sure, some of the amenities lean toward the rustic side, but that’s part of the charm. If you're craving serenity, fresh mountain air, and a few four-legged friends to make you smile, this place is pure magic.

We loved staying at Scott's goat farm! The goats are obviously awesome, and also entertaining. Scott's a great host and wants to make sure you have the best time possible. I was able to keep my Tesla charged while there too. It's a great place.

Positives: the host was really friendly when I arrived and eager to help me get settled. The goats are of course adorable and the two camp dogs are the sweetest. We fit 3 tents and a couple hammocks and it was great to have room to spread out. The wifi made it easy to research trails and get the gps up and running. There is also a ranch or farm nextdoor and we loved seeing the cows roaming just over the creek. Negatives: The indoor restroom was very musty with used, damp towels hanging, a moldy shower curtain and dirty shower and floor. We were a group of 4 and not one of us was willing to use it. When I arrived, the host said he needed to clean it, but never did. We also learned the spring was backed up, so the outhouse and water spigot weren’t working. I will say the host went out to fix it right away but the water was sketchy all weekend. Sediment deposited at the bottom of our bottles, the water was cloudy and filled with floaty things. We stopped at breweries to refill bc we didn’t trust that it was potable. The outhouse was also a mess when we got there. They did clean it when I alerted them, which was really appreciated but it was weird that we had to ask for the basics.

This was absolutely beautiful and secluded. The host was wonderful and very accommodating, even offered to let us use his work truck! We will definitely be returning. The goats were amazing and watching the fireflies at night was magical.

This is our third time camping at the goat farm. We love it there. Scott is very welcoming and will do whatever is needed to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The doggies are amazingly friendly. We were treated to a firefly show at dusk. 10/10.

it was our second time here, and it’s a great spot for families. goats, baby chickens, two friendly dogs, a zip line, and fire wood galore. we hammock camped, but there’s room for small or medium tents. probably not a large 8-person tent. it’s a chill place that is more than worth the price.

Camping site was okay, got to see and interact with the goats. We were unpleasantly surprised by nocturnal man in camper blaring loud music and news at all hours of the night. We nor kids able to sleep.
