Our Old Tobacco Farm has been in the family for generations, hence "Barnett Road". Currently we just grow organic veggies in our high tunnel greenhouse and the old tobacco fields now are used for hay production and a safe haven for a large herd of deer. Learn more about this land: This site is gravel and level. It is in front of a babbling small creek. The site is private with robust wifi, water and 30 amp electric. The site is 40 feet in length but could probably work also for up to 50'. Slideouts are fine. There is a picnic table, gas grill, chairs and a firepit beside the site. We live on an 18 acre farm. We recently discovered the joy of traveling the US in an Airstream. When we came home after 6000+ miles, because some of our favorite sites were non-traditional ones, we decided to add a site on our farm. Enjoy the dark skies and quietness of the country. We are 10 minutes from downtown Murphy. There is only a small area of gravel which is the actual site. Everything else to get here is paved.This site is gravel and level. We had a blast at Jamie's place. They were very kind and accommodating. We have a 37ft trailer and had no issues pulling in and getting out! There was a fire pit to use and a hammock. we cooked a meal on the fire one night and made s'mores. We were able to see deer while we sat by the fire. We walked our dogs along their land multiple times a day and had no issues, very private and beautiful, our dogs really enjoyed the creek as well! We would happily stay here again and highly recommend this site! Thanks for a great stay! 10/10

We absolutely love this place. It's so peaceful and beautiful. We spent our evenings watching deer playing in the field. The stars and campfires were wonderful. Randy our host was so awesome to talk with and learn about the travels he and Jamie have done over the years. We highly recommend and we certainly return to this location soon

Completely accommodating. We had shore power, water and quite the views! This property feels private and is completely relaxing by the bubbling branch. Randy made sure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed a fire evening and loved the peaceful and serene area. We have been here quite a few times and plan to return many more!

Excellent spot! It is a great place if you are like me and don't like being around other rv's in a park. The bubbling of the little creek next to your spot was awesome when it was bedtime. Beautiful views all around and close to town.

We spent a lovely evening in this quiet valley setting where all our needs were met. The owner was easy to communicate with and the provided directions and instructions for parking were perfect. We would highly recommend this spot to anyone needing overnight accommodations!

The side was a slice of heaven! The gurgling little stream, next to our campsite, the viewing of the deers in the morning and evening hours submitted such a peaceful atmosphere that I treaded the day we had to leave. They have a sparkling pool for hot days and a greenhouse that was overgrown with tomatoes, that they generously shared with us. We will be back 100%.

A "Getaway" Paradise!

This place is a slice of heaven. The site was level, next to a small creek where we daily saw 5-7 deer. Jaime & Randy are wonderful hosts. I would highly recommend them and the relaxing surroundings. I feel more relaxed than I have in years. Like I said... it is a slice of heaven.

My wife and I made the long drive here from Florida with our 25ft camper. This a great escape from the heat and a wonderful place to hangout in the mountains. The site was easy to get into and had plenty of room to maneuver. The property is very peaceful and had great areas to checkout. The WiFi was a nice perk too! Definitely worth staying here.

This site was beautiful and peaceful. It was clean and had everything we needed. Unfortunately we had a super nasty storm come through but Randy was nice enough to offer his basement for us. We ended up not using it but we were very appreciative of his hospitality. We would stay here again, great place and hosts!

Such a quiet spot to relax & unwind. Great location in a quiet country setting with lots of room for our fur babies to run around. Very private and listening to the babbling brook was the icing on the cake!

Private, peaceful location alongside a babbling brook and with very little road traffic. Communication before and during my stay was very good. Randy was very pleasant and nice to chat with. I would most definitely recommend this spot.

This was such a nice, private, quiet area so it was perfect for us! We have six dogs so they loved the space and we didn’t have to worry about being right on top of other campers. We will definitely be back if we come back to the area!

Perfect work week of solitude

It was a relaxing escape being on Jamie's land. It was very private and the sounds of the small creek next to the spot lulled us to sleep. The power and Internet worked very well, so much so that I had a video interview during our stay and it went flawlessly, there were no hiccups in service whatsoever. It was the perfect week long break that we needed after travelling for the last six days before then. We will definitely be back if we are ever travelling in the area again.

Unique spot on a farm in Murphy

This was a splendid opportunity to be hooked up and camp with the family in the RV at a unique spot. There are a few big RV campgrounds a few miles away, but this is a special spot. The hosts were generous with their farm grounds and responsive to questions. The only heads up is to be aware that you'll have to figure out a separate place to dump your black and gray water. Otherwise, it has everything you'll need for a nice, private RV experience relatively near the Nantahala Outdoor Recreation center.

Most Relaxing Work Week Ever

This was such an amazing place! I will definitely be back when I am in the area again. It was SO peaceful and relaxing. I actually fell asleep star gazing a couple of times near the fire pit. Between the absence of city noise, the natural ambience of the property- the freaking creek next to the site put me to sleep faster than any ASMR track ever-, and the generous hosts made this location one if the most relaxing and productive weeks I've had in a while. I worked on my laptop next to the firepit and watched deer grazing while listening to a babnlign creek. It was heaven. The wifi is AMAZING. I work remote, so every day I was on my computer answering video calls, participating is webinars, and carrying on as if I were plugged directly into the modem. Remote workers dream. The garden was DELICOUS! I grilled fresh veggies over the fire and was blow away by the size of the tomatoes. I absolutely loved this visit and will definitely be back. I am very excited to come by in the fall when. The leave start to change. I bet the forest will be phenomenal!!

We have had our eye on this campsite for a while and finally got to check it out. It was great! Very generous hosts and a beautiful piece of property. It is definitely on our list of weekend sites to return to that are close to home. 2:00 checkout was great, I wish more hipcamps did this, we like to sleep in and this made it so we had time for breakfast, lunch and more time to enjoy the site.

Jamie’s land is a beautiful place to stay. You are next to a babbling brook looking out to a tree-covered hillside. The spot feels secluded and private, even though you are not too far from the owners, swimming pool. Next to the gravel parking pad, which easily fit our 27 foot travel trailer, is a picnic table and fire pit. You feel like you are part of a working farm, with vegetables, growing nearby and grass covered fields everywhere else. Jamie was a welcoming and helpful host. If you are looking for a not, too out-of-the-way place in Murphy, you can’t go wrong staying here.

Absolutely wonderful spot! Beautiful setting with peaceful babbling brook and fireflies at night. Got to take a dip in the pool on a warm evening and grilled some broccoli and zucchini from the greenhouse.

Jamie has the perfect setup for a peaceful camping trip. Pretty, relaxing, easily accessible, clean, private. We can’t think of a complaint. Be sure to eat at the farmhouse diner in Marble. We ended up at Jamie’s place because the original place we had booked was not at all as described. We were blessed that this spot was available and perfect! The deer, turkey, and stream just made it all more perfect

Serene Streamside Spot

We loved Randy and Jamie's little slice of Murphy heaven. The spot gave lots of privacy and space to move around. The dogs loved running around. We were able to have a nice relaxing fire a couple nights in the fire ring provided lounging in the Adirondack chairs. The stream next to us was just the icing on the cake. I'm going to miss the sound of it bubbling when we get to our next spot. We can't wait to come back next time we're in the area to visit family.
