Timberland Falls is a historic one of a kind property nestled into the northern catskill mountains. A private 3 Acre Hemlock forest with a stunning waterfall. Set up beautifully for camping, this property offers drive-in drive-out, easy parking with a great campsite and a cozy fire pit. Timberland falls is just minutes away from Colgate Lake where you can enjoy evening sunsets and miles and miles of hiking trails. Enjoy this secluded property with the sound of the Waterfall in this enchanted hemlock forest.Pitch your tent in a secluded site, located on a waterfall in a majestic hemlock forest. This is a historic one-of-a-kind spacious property. This property allows you to drive your vehicle right onto the site. Just minutes away from Katerskill falls, Colgate lake, hiking trails and the quaint town of Tannersville, for dining and shopping. The sounds of the waterfall are meditative. This is a great getaway for artists, writers and campers looking for a serene, unique property. We are only making this availbale to one group of campers. We are not renting this out to multiple groups at once. However there is room for multiple tents if your group wants to have more than one tent. It is a spacious camp site.  Important notes:  - Port-o-potty available on site, stocked with toilet paper and hand sanitizer. - No running water, but the stream makes a great place to wash hands!  Please do be conscious of what kind of soap you're using in the stream, so we don't put anything in the water that shouldn't be! (no plastics!!) - The cabin is available to hang out on the lower level, but not intended for sleeping.  - The cabin has electricity!  There's a mini-fridge in the cabin to store small refrigerated items, as well as outlets to charge your phone or other portable items. - Outlet on the outside of the Cabin is available.  - Grill grate available for grilling over the campfire. - Please pick up any and all trash and remove from the site!  - If you stay here, don't forget to tag us on Instagram @timberlandfalls! We are an eco-friendly house-hold, so please be cautious of the environment! We want to keep it clean and beautiful so we can enjoy nature in it's truly natural and beautiful form! Thank you!

Pitch your tent in a secluded site, located on a waterfall in a majestic hemlock forest. This is a historic one-of-a-kind spacious property. This property allows you to drive your vehicle right onto the site. Just minutes away from Katerskill falls, Colgate lake, hiking trails and the quaint town of Tannersville, for dining and shopping. The sounds of the waterfall are meditative. This is a great getaway for artists, writers and campers looking for a serene, unique property. We are only making this availbale to one group of campers. We are not renting this out to multiple groups at once. However there is room for multiple tents if your group wants to have more than one tent. What a lovely spot. I hesitate to promote it because I want it all to myself. It was everything you want and nothing you don’t. Complete privacy. Don’t forget to stack your rocks at the top of the waterfall!

We had a wonderful time visiting Ethan and Karen’s place. The site was clean, well cared for, and the waterfall with its natural pool at the base was absolutely beautiful. We truly enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend!

Total paradise. The water is clear and refreshing and the cabin adds convenience without taking away from the beautiful scenery. Very private, lots to do and explore on the property and also within a very short drive. It was hard to leave and we can’t wait to return.

Beautiful multi-layered property with fantastic views and sightlines abounding. Great tent-site choices and firepit with picnic table overlooking the falls are special. Cabin is small but well worth spending time in for a little deep woods lounging. Immediate surroundings are pretty limited for paddling but teem with hike possibilities of all challenge levels. The nearby drive along 23A to 32A is spectacular. Ethan is responsive for sure and sounds like a great dude. Truly feel the only experience that can be had at the Falls is utter, peaceful thrill.

An absolutely beautiful piece of property! The cabin is not for sleeping but it was great to have when we got hit with some rain and for storing food. Very private. The creek and waterfall were spectacular. Sleeping in a tent to the sound of the falls was great. Thank you for sharing your camp with us. Wonderful hosts.

This is one of the sites I hate to leave a good review for!! I want to be selfish and keep it all to ourselves! This spot was amazing. The waterfall lulled us to sleep each night. It was just the two of us (and two dogs) but there is lots of space for larger groups. There was some 4-wheel activity on the road, but the site is private and we were never disturbed or bothered. Ethan and Karen have thought of lots of little touches to make the experience better. We always park in/pack out but they had a nice setup to cook with over the firepit, a port-a-potty and a place to escape the rain if necessary. We had a bad thunderstorm and they were so nice to check on us! Their communication was great. The beauty of this site is breathtaking.

We had such a wonderful time camping on Ethan & Karen's land- what a beautiful site. The sound of the waterfall all night was magical, campfire wood was well stocked, and site was clean and well-maintained. We will be returning!

I always have a great time camping at Ethan and Karen's land. The waterfall and surrounding area make for a beautiful scenic background. The directions are clear and the privacy is worth it. I highly recommend Timberland Falls, I've been hot tenting there in the winter and it never disappoints .

We loved camping on Ethen & Karen's property Timberland Falls. We went up into the mountains expecting a winter storm and this didn't disappoint. We were wonderfully surrounded by the sounds of snow fall and the light breeze and the water falling under the frozen waterfall was a nice sight as well. This property is extremely beautiful, serene and peaceful. The cabin is a great addition and was necessary on Sunday night during the windiest portion of the storm, but was wonderfully comfortable. Thank you again, Ethen and Karen for the wonderful property and for your hospitality!

Great site! Lots of space and soothing waterfall sounds all night. Has everything you need for an easy escape to the woods. We especially enjoyed fox sighting and hearing coyotes in the distance each evening.

I had an incredible experience camping at Ethan & Karen's land. The views were breathtaking, especially waterfalls. The campsites were well-spaced, giving everyone plenty of privacy. Perfect for a weekend getaway if you're looking to reconnect with nature. Highly recommend.

Our stay was FANTASTIC! We met Ethan and Karen at the site, were they showed us around and told us about the area and some towns to visit while we are there. The site was beautiful; the waterfalls, the privacy, the extra cabin! Our dog had a blast exploring the site, found a bunch of frogs to chase and loved running through the creek everytime she needed to cool off or a drink of cold water. We can't recommend this site enough!

This is a truly incredible place to be able to camp. It’s extremely quiet and private, with just the sounds of the water flowing and the forest. There are no houses visible, but there are other houses on the main road, so it’s private and still rugged without feeling isolated or super remote. Having electricity and a fridge was so luxurious. It’s also a well maintained and thoughtfully built site, with a picnic table, and chairs which I wasn’t expecting. This was one of the most amazing places I’ve ever camped. I love backpacking but I’ve come to deeply appreciate good sleep and comfort- and this is just about the ultimate car camping experience. I’ll look forward to visiting again in the future. The hosts were so kind, welcoming, and responsive. Many thanks! And enjoy the water if you’re there - cold but magical.

What an amazing campsite! Fall asleep to the sounds of the waterfall after cooking your meal at the camp fire. The site is very private - it feels like you're deep in the woods but you're only a few minutes drive into town. The clean porto potty and mini cabin onsite give you a bit of camping luxury too. You can tell the owners take great care of their land. We'll definitely be back to see the waterfall during different seasons.

The falls themselves are nothing short of breathtaking, with their majestic roar resonating through the surrounding woods, creating a symphony of nature that soothes and energizes in equal measure. The streams that feed into the falls are crystal clear, adding to the overall serenity of the environment. The campsite was impeccably maintained, with the grounds meticulously clean and well-cared-for. We were pleasantly surprised by the abundant supply of firewood, which made our evenings around the campfire warm and inviting. The cabin was an added bonus, providing a secure and convenient place to store our food and belongings, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the natural beauty around us without worry. Timberland Falls has left such an impression on us that it will undoubtedly become an annual tradition. This is a place where you can truly disconnect from the outside world and reconnect with what matters most. We highly recommend Timberland Falls to anyone seeking not just a camping experience, but a retreat into the heart of nature's splendor.

I wish I didn’t feel the need to write this but the place is exactly what I picture when I want to get away. One of only a few places I’ve been that makes you take a breath and get a real breath of fresh air. A Gem, a true piece of heaven on earth. It rained it shined we sat under the waterfall and couldn’t think of anywhere else we wanted to be.

This is the third time we have stayed here. The land is taken care and is beautiful. The refrigerator is cold and clean. The porta potty is very clean. This site is more expensive than other sites on Hipcamp, but is 100% worth every penny. Can’t wait to stay again!

Awesome spot, lots to do in the area, although we were just there for a day so we just enjoyed the grounds. Saw the owner in passing and they were very helpful and accommodating.

Wow this campsite was incredible! Waterfall you can enjoy endlessly, close by hikes and small town hangs. Cabin was a great place to keep food safe. Can’t recommend it enough.

It was a beautiful and restful camping site. The private waterfall was perfect! The water was refreshing. We got rained in the evening but having a cabin there was so helpful to store everything that was outside. Ethan was quick to respond to my questions. We are definitely coming back here!!
