Shacktown Farms is a 94 acre property in the rolling farmlands of New York. Once you park your Rv or pitch your tent you will be fully immersed in nature. We have 5 Rv/tent Spots with Water/Sewer/Electric. Catch an early sunrise on our deck overlooking the hills or watch the sun set right from your campsite. we have 60 acres of woods that can be hiked or bring along your 4 Wheeler to ride our ATV trails. There is also a playground for kids to enjoy and 150 ft Zip-line in the forest Each site comes with a picnic table and fire ring. The sites are located in the field.... They are 30 ft from each other... We are also usually on premises in our cabin on the other side of the field. If you enjoy immersing yourself in nature....Don't like noisy campgrounds .... but are ok with some people around...then this is the place for you!

Site 1 - Hilltop - Magical Sunset Views
This was our first time using HipCamp and it was a great experience overall. The views from the site were absolutely beautiful, and we especially loved the hiking paths nearby—they were easy to access and made for a perfect way to spend our mornings. We brought our dogs along, and they had the best time running around and soaking up attention from some of the friendly kids at neighboring sites. We loved how much open space there was to relax and explore. We actually enjoyed it so much that we’ve already booked another stay here—just wish it was sooner! Our only complaints were that the bathrooms could have used more attention, as they were pretty dirty during our visit, and unfortunately, some of the other guests were very loud well past quiet hours on the second night, which took away from the peaceful setting a bit. Overall, we’re really looking forward to coming back and would still recommend it to others, especially for the views, trails, and space to unwind.

Hilltop - Magical Sunset Views
Cold and windy in October but would definitely recommend for summertime. Beautiful site. We were the only ones there. Tons of space. We needed a 50 amp adapter for our 30 amp rv, which we did have. The hilltop sunset views are magical as promised. It was fun to explore the property, nice walking space and ponds nearby. There was also a cool platform for over-the-fire cooking that we used to make ribs. A great place for sure, would come again.

Hilltop - Magical Sunset Views
Overall, the site itself was a nice spot. Therewith are 5 spots, but we wetter the only ones there. So we had the WHOLE area to ourselves. Wifi had great signal on sites 1, 2, and 3. It's safe, quiet and you had trails to walk on. Even a zip line. Which was great. However, communication with the host before we arrived was terrible. Not sure why our GPS was sending us to a different location then where the spot was. We had 3 different GPS systems and not one sent us to where the actual spot was. When we got to the location, I tried contacting the host and I didn't hear from her for a long time. So there we were, with a 42' 5th wheel in the middle of nowhere. It was already dark, and having no clue where to go. We eventually found some rv spots on our own. And assumed, hoped and prayed. It was where We were supposed to be. Communication is my biggest complaint. AFTER all that, Leah sent over some needed info. Wifi info, property info, directions. Things I should have gotten BEFORE my arrival. If you book this spot make sure you have ALL THE INFO BEFORE YOU GO. We stayed 9 nights. Plenty of firewood on property. Plenty of space for big rigs, beautiful sunsets and plenty of space for dogs and kiddos. I would stay again now that I have all the info necessary. **Also, Leah was apologetic, responsive and communicative after my initial frustration.
