This is a very nice location, only about 11/2 miles from Whitney Point but very private. We were the only people there, had not trouble getting our 17 foot trailer in on gravel pad. We hauled our water but there is the spigot about 200 feet from where the 30 amp service is. A supple of dry wood and nice fire ring we made good use of, river was drought low but still hooked couple smallmouth bass and a several giant chub minnows. Saw couple three bald eagles fly though, lots of blue jays and king fishers sounding off. A very good spot, recommend for privacy and convenience, town is close but it doesn’t feel that way

We loved Beth's land. It is far enough away from the road that our dogs had some space to run around and play. They also got to cool off in the river. Site is exactly as advertised. Easy in and out, directions bring you right there. Beth was very responsive. Overall 2 thumbs up!

We spent 4 nights at the Riverside Camping Site and absolutely loved it! Beth happily answered all of my questions before booking, and the provided directions to reach the property, access the amenities, and where to set up were clear. We had an issue with our electric service when we first arrived, and Grant didn't hesitate to travel to the site to resolve it. They are truly wonderful hosts.
We camp with our two fairly reactive dogs that don't do well in busy or noisy campgrounds, so this very private property was perfect. There is some traffic noise due to its easy accessibility from the interstate, but we didn't find it bothersome. We enjoyed our coffee by the river every morning while watching eagles, herons, and ducks, and some great fishing throughout the day as well. I was sad that we didn't bring our kayaks along! I recommend checking out Dorchester Park for a walk, boating, or playground visit, and The Scoop of Whitney Point for ice cream. :) The only thing I would change is cutting down some of the brush between the upper and lower levels for a river view from the electric/RV sites. Otherwise, this is a definite winner!

Stunning views and wildlife galore! The whole property is basically yours, with very few kayakers/canoers going by. Everything you need from water to electric. The pups roamed freely with no worries. Highly recommend for family or couples.

Site was very private, even though not super far from houses and road. Saw only 2 people getting mail over 3 days I was there. Beautiful property. Only suggestion would be clearing weeds etc that block view of river. You can walk down nicely mowed path, however that view could be there for entire stay. Definitely plan on returning for another stay!

My husband and I had a wonderful 3 night stay. We brought our puppy and older dog, who both had fun running in the very large area. The property is situated on a road that can be busy at times, but you are far enough off that it wasn't an issue for us. The water level wasn't too high, so our older dog was able to find a spot to wade in the water. I can see why its a great fishing spot, I would consider buying a pole just to fish there again. You can hear road noise but the birds are so plentiful, their singing drowns it out. We were there the 4th of July and aside from organized fireworks at a local venue we heard nothing else. So if you enjoy quiet time like us, this is the spot. Very peaceful and will likely visit again.

Such a cute spot right on the river. Close to the road but still very quiet and private. Lots of mosquitoes so be sure to bring bug spray and citronella. We would definitely stay again!

Awesome riverside camping spot! Large yard area with shade to use for main camp then another large open yard area to play games. Also a lower tier where you can set up more tents right on the river! Beth was awesome to work with, very informative on any questions we had. They had stocked firewood there for us upon arrival and even brought some backup for us without even having to ask. Overall highly recommend both for the location and the service Beth provided!

Beth's property is beautiful all around! The proximity to the river simply adds to that beauty. It's a perfect fishing spot as well.
Beth is incredibly kind, responsive and generous. I had what one might call an "unplanned, not so pleasent adventure" on my way to her property which was completely my doing, but she refunded my fee because she felt so bad for what I had endured. 🙏🏼

We stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful experience. The campsite was right by the river and felt very private, which was especially important to us because of our reactive dog. Even though one of the days was full of rain, we still really enjoyed our time there. It was peaceful and relaxing. Communication with Beth through the app was smooth, and we also had the chance to meet her husband in person, they were both incredibly attentive and welcoming. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Frequent flyer here! This is the one Hipcamp site I’ve returned to every year- multiple times. Each bust has been a little different with changes of season. The water level changes, bird migration varies, fishing is always a surprise but the scenery is always spectacular.
This recent autumn trip had leaves falling that were as big as my head! I actually used one as a little rug reaching around to latch my trailer door. There were still interesting birds hanging around, a very foggy morning and the fish were still biting despite the cold water temps. I could hear a bit more traffic noise with less vegetation to buffer it, but it was still very peaceful especially down by the river.
The locals are amazingly friendly and I always feel welcome and meet the most interesting people when I wander into town for something- which is also very conveniently close.
The lawn is flawlessly manicured and the firewood is dry and great quality. That’s a rare find- so consider that as well as the available electric and the sewer dump for those of us with campers when you look at the nightly cost. Plus- you can’t buy solitude at the public parks or even most Hipcamps! The state parks I’ve been to rarely offer electricity and the firewood is expensive! Beth is also absolutely the most wonderful host- that’s priceless!
I can’t wait until next season. It’s my one go to camp that I know I’ll enjoy!

I believe this was my third summer returning to Beth’s beautiful land on the river. I started out in a tent and progressed to a tiny 13’ fiberglass camper. It’s a great place for either since you can choose where to put a tent or enjoy an electric hookup with a camper. I do a lot of Adirondack camping so this is a luxury! They also supply really nice firewood, so when looking at the cost keep that in mind. What a perk!
The convenient aspect about this site is it’s close to civilization but the only humans you may see by the river are a few kayakers on a weekend. If you are lucky enough to be there during a bird migration you’ll see the most incredible birds. Fishing is fantastic too when the water is deep enough to give you some good drops off the bank. This past trip I hooked and released countless Smallmouth Bass (some huge) as well as a new species for me (Fallfish). There’s also a great park with a little beach and a quarry right down the road for more kayak and fishing options. .
Bring bug spray just in case - this was the first time I’ve ever had mosquitos. There is a bit of traffic noise but it’s minimal and the train is soothing. The convenience is a small price to pay for traffic sounds and beats loud camp neighbors in a public campground. There is only one site here- yours!
The best part of this experience is Beth. She’s so kind and I’ve enjoyed my interactions with her so much. I’m looking forward to my next visit to this beautiful slice of heaven.

The site is situated on a lovely river. But it’s basically camping at a giant yard Positives: We saw a ton of birds…eagles, osprey, kingfishers, heron, etc. We brought our paddle boards and paddle upstream until we came to the dam. And the neighbors nearby were very quiet. Host was great with communication
Negatives: it’s like camping in someone’s yard. Secondly, the cost per night, isn’t really worth it. I have done a number of HipCamp locations at the same price point, and they have offered more amenities. This had no toilet and no shower. I thought it would be some incredible location for the price, but it was very mediocre.
I think if the price was more like $40, it would have felt like a good value.

This was our first experience at a hip camp and I must say my husband and I were not disappointed. The property is all to yourself, level and at the rivers edge. You do have to go down a small path but then it is well maintained grass to set up your chairs for the day. On our first morning, we saw a bald eagle, osprey, egret, belted king fisher, green heron and the best treat was a momma deer and her yearling walking across the river! Firewood was provided . We were only a few miles from town where there is a Dollar General, ice cream stand, and grocery store. Beth is amazing in her fast responses to ALL my questions.
The only con would be hearing early morning traffic from the roadway but it would not stop us from staying there again. It truly was paradise for us. We never felt that relaxed. We will be back again!

We had a great time camping at this property with our 21' travel trailer, and look forward to visiting again in the future. Access to the site was easy and there are multiple locations to get setup as you see fit. The grass was all nicely mowed and property well kept. There's some road noise from I-81 but it's extremely distant and you barely notice it; hardly worth mentioning. We felt like we had great privacy, and our dogs enjoyed running off leash playing fetch in the large grassy yard. The hosts are extremely friendly and really go above an beyond by providing firewood at the site. 10/10 for the value - can't wait to return.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Riverside Camping in upstate New York. Beth and her husband are wonderful hosts who take pride in the appearance of their property and their guests comfort. Being a birder I especially enjoyed the abundance of birds that surround the property and their beautiful songs. The camp is convenient to Dorchester Park and Chenango State Park which provide a lot of hiking, fishing, and kayaking opportunities. Of course, you can fish, swim, and kayak at the camp, too, but be aware that depending on the time of year the current can be quite strong. Thank you, Beth, for sharing your beautiful property!

We were very excited to have a relaxing weekend away surrounded by peace and quiet and by the looks of other campers photos, we felt we found a great spot for just that. However, upon arrival we found that the main road to enter the property was only a short distance from the actual camp site, which meant it was unsafe for our dogs and most definitely not private. There is a home right at the entrance to the site that looks directly towards the river facing where you will be spending your time. They can see everything you’re doing from their front porch and or living room windows. The noise from the traffic was such a disturbance and the lack of privacy was the final straw. We ended up leaving a few hours after “check in” due to the lack of safety and privacy and were offered no refund of any kind.

This was a beautiful spot to camp in Broome County. My trailer barely needed additional leveling where I parked. I would take my chair down by the river to read and it was so relaxing. Some nice short trails adjacent to the property. Well maintained lawn. No -potable water available behind one of the empty houses. There is a grocery store and a few fast food places pretty close by. I was able to get my propane tank filled at True Value right in town. I highly recommend visiting Dorchester Park. The walkway around the lake is beautiful. I would also recommend the Chenango Valley State Park. It was one of the nicest parks I have ever been to. The host was very quick to message back with any questions. There is steady traffic from the interstate, but it is far away enough that it was like white noise. Somewhat busy traffic on the road in back of the site between 7 am-7 pm. In the evening it was pretty quiet sitting outside by the fire.
