I strongly recommend staying at this beautiful camp site, Rita is absolutely amazing we had great time, watching the stars at night was very nice and relaxing. Lake George is near by for great times and views. I’d recommend bringing at AWD car or suv/truck. RITA is the best host ever anything you need she will respond and give right away. We will definitely come back in the summer.

Such an amazing weekend! Spectacular views, kayaking down the river, glamping at its finest with literally everything you need. Seriously, bring bedding, food, a good book, and a power bank and you are set. Rita is such a lovely and thoughtful host. We will definitely be back. Very limited service with Verizon which personally I loved to be able to escape for a weekend. We've been fortunate to stay at a lot of cool hipcamps and airbnbs/vrbos but this is one for the books 😊

Rita was an amazing host and the camping area was awesome! She was super friendly and walked us through how to use everything right when we got there. We loved being secluded on the water and spent a lot of time kayaking on the River. She really has thought about everything you could want in a glamping situation and it was more stocked than any other hip camp we’ve stayed in. We also had our two dogs who were able to be off leash and they had a blast! We would highly suggest this to anybody looking for a great experience

Where to begin....
1. We had an awesome view of the river.
2. We needed ice and new gas tank for the grill and Rita was extremely accommodating.
3. We had all the grown up toys to play on the river.
4. The beds were comfortable.
5. Our dogs were so happy not to be leashed.
6. There was a working shower!
7. All we needed to bring was food, cooling packs or ice, bed linens and pillows. We packed two families in one vehicle.
8. Even with six people and two dogs we had room to move around the camp
9. Loved the kayaks and peddle board
10. Never needed to go to the town beach!

Riverfront Ritz
The site was amazing. It came with everything you need. Plenty of potable water, dishes, cups, cutlery, tables, chairs, solar lights, kayaks, etc. Granted we came with everything we would need but if you just brought food and yourselves you would be good. Site was great, 2 big heavy duty “tents” with a bed and plenty of room for our rotties bed as well. We came with one other couple and our dogs but can easily accommodate another couple. Great fire pit and a separate couch and eating area with picnic table. Waterfront Ritz is an accurate name. If you like fishing, morning 7-9a and night 6-8p was the best. We got 1 sunny, 3 big carp and my wife pulled in a nice size pike (no idea how). It’s extremely private and it has everything you need. If you happen to forget something, or run out of beer, the town is 5 minutes away. We couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay and look forward to visiting again. 10 out of 10.

So grateful for this stay in the woods! The place is as described and is rustic with thoughtful touchs. You really do want a 4x4 to get through the last leg of the trip down to camp. You would be fine in most cars to the spot near the outhouse (up a hill from camp) otherwise. There are two bathrooms, 1 with a camp bucket and compost bags - for numero uno. And 2 for, well- numero 2 which is away from the site.
There is no electricity but rita provided tons of solar lighting and rechargeable battery banks in abundance. Very useful.
She came by each day to check our potable water and trash.
We cooked over the fire pit with grates and a camp stove.
Water was "low" per rita but we wouldnt have known if she didnt point this out. We floated and swam quite a bit- the water is very clean. She also provided fish food to throw out am/pm which thr fishes really liked.
We caught- and subsequently ate- a small mouth bass. Yum.
A reminder you are outside like tent camping so there are some bugs, chipmunks, maybe a snake. But its nice to sleep on real beds and not have to set up a tent. ALSO- it is between two dams so you may hear the dam alarm go off when they release water.
We will be back! 10000/10 for star gazing and 6 star review!

Riverfront Ritz
We loved the Riverfront Ritz. Rita's camp has everything you need to enjoy camping on the Hudson River. Kitchen was top notch. Rita was very easy to communicate with for anything she didnt have fully stocked. The road to the campsite was definitely a challenge so make sure you have a higher clearance SUV or truck. Thanks for a memorable weekend!!

This is our third year visiting the Ritz! Another amazing stay! It’s your own private oasis! Beautiful scenery! Rita is awesome to chat with and is so accommodating! Some fight lights of our trip were a beautiful rainbow, English muffin pizzas over the fire, kayaking and shooting stars aside from all the priceless memories created with my parents and my niece! We will be back next year!!!

Riverfront Ritz was a magical campsite. As a first time camper this site exceeded our expectations. Rita had everything we needed and more. The site was secluded and the views were stunning. This place has everything you need, tents with beds, plenty of seating, fire pit, burner and grill; loo and shower…literally everything! Definitely a spot we will soon revisit! The path to get to the campsite was a bit of a challenge since it was rocky but still made it with my AWD Toyota Camry. Def 10/10 rating!

Riverfront Ritz! It is a wonderful private place if you want to enjoy a nice peaceful getaway. I was there 2 years ago through Tentre and since than Rita, who is a great super host have made massive upgrades and made it a lot better than it was already. Last time i was there, I stayed for 5 days and couldn't manage to catch a single fish but this time in one day, I caught and released three big ones 😍 best moment of my life EVER! am definitely going back again and would highly recommend this spot to others!

Rita’s camping spot is such a hidden gem to me!! Rita is very nice to talk to, and super responsive and willing to help whenever we ask for help. She provides so many things for the guest to use, and it makes our trip so much easier and enjoyable. (Cups, knives, hammock, coolers, movable lamp, you name it!) I will definitely come back again with my friends. Thank you Rita!!

My brother and I spent two nights at the Riverfront Ritzz and had a great time. It was right on the water and beautiful. Rita was extremely helpful at making sure we were set up and the site was very well appointed. We will definitely be back, likely for a few days with our families.

I loved staying at the Ritz! It was perfect for a solo camping trip & I’m sure it would be just as perfect for a group trip. Rita was so accommodating and helpful as well, the camp kitchen, sleeping tent(s), and bathroom/shower were beyond my expectation. The river access was great and I had fun feeding the fish and kayaking, and I spent a good amount of time reading with a beautiful view :)

WOW - WOW - WOW!!!! What an amazing slice of glamping heaven in the middle of a beautiful majestic, enchanted forest along the riverside - we were blown away by this place, the pictures don’t do it justice! This place was ana amazing private and secluded escape for a long weekend family trip with our two little girls (age 7 and 9). They were fascinated by everything and loved all the activities available to do here especially the paddle boat, tubing on the river, fishing, and enjoying the fire during the evenings to roast marshmallows and listen to the nature sounds all around us. They loved to hang out on the porch Adirondack chairs reading and listening to music with a view of the river, watching the stars and moon at night, and playing games and lounging in the 2 awesome canvas tents provided with all comforts of home included. It was so nice to not have to pack full camping gear since everything you could want or need is already there! We only needed our own pillows and bedding and towels, and of course the food. Otherwise, this place has it all!
RITA is a wonderful and kind host, with a great sense of humor and such graceful hospitality. My girls absolutely loved her guided tour when we arrived and her funny and silly remarks made them laugh. She was so sweet and catered to whatever we needed, an absolute gem of a kind soul with a beautiful heart. If you love being in nature you must come here and experience this joy and peace for yourself - it was one of our faves!!!

Rita hosted us at the Ritz on the River and her place exceeded all of our expectations! She was able to accommodate us at short notice which was really nice for a quick spontaneous getaway. Her set up at the Ritz was especially nice for us as we are not seasoned campers and we had nothing in regards to camping gear. But everything we could possibly need and more was available to us there so we literally only needed to worry about bringing food and clothes. We drove in a 4WD Subaru Impreza that has a fairly low clearance and were able to make it almost all the way to the camp site with no mishap other than a couple times bottoming out on the way down, which we were able to avoid on the way back up when we left. Rita was nice enough to help us carry our stuff the last little bit with her buggy. I can't say enough about how pleasant our stay was and we are already thinking about our next trip!
