Really enjoyable tent camping experience. The host greeted us to show us our space, the outhouse, and tell us anything we needed to know. Great fire pit, parking spot, picnic table, and tent pad all in one space.

I really enjoyed my stay in Catskill. The location is perfect for a quiet stay and James is a wonderful host providing fresh water and firewood for the campfire. As well as suggestions for attractions in the area. I woke up the 2nd morning to two deer grazing past my van window.
I highly recommend this Hipcamp for anyone looking for peace and quiet. I plan to stay here again in the future.

Our stay at this campsite was so nice! James was very helpful & responsive. It was private and easy to find. Portable water was provided as well. We’d recommend this campsite, and would definitely come back again. Thank you~

James was very communicative and flexible with my late arrival. The spot was great. Nice, quiet, and easy to access. The outhouse was very clean and everything felt nice and private. Location was excellent too! We hiked some trails nearby and had a super easy drive to Catskill and Saugerties for breakfast or dinner. Would absolutely come back. Thank you James!

Great host who had a 5 gallon water container ready and a list of local places and activities to visit.....Jeep was incredibly fortunate to have been the first to camp on a remote site that's not quite ready for prime time accessible only with a 2 door jeep and the unskilled might think twice before attempting. High on the property overlooking dense woodland and a beaver pond. No people or houses in sight. Admittedly I prefer dispersed camping and am 100% self sufficient with pricey, water and all necessities to camp long term. Very enjoyable and will return!

Secluded and quiet getaway

Very secluded and lovely site. The outhouse was a short walk but it is very clean. Perfect for Tents, Trailers or Rooftop tents. Highly recommend

Jame's campsite was an absolute pleasure and I would highly recommend it to anyone! The site I stayed at had a picnic table, area to cook, and firepit/bench with wood provided for no extra fee, which was awesome! It was also very quiet through the entirety of my stay.

It’s a beautiful spot — quiet and peaceful and pretty private. Well located between Palenville, Saugerties, and Catskill, it’s easy to get around to fun local spot. Outhouse was super new and clean. Everything was great.

My mom, our dogs, & I loved our stay here! We were looking for a quiet, peaceful place to spend our long weekend and this met all our needs. Set back from the road surrounded by woods with trails to explore, a clean and maintained outhouse, and a wonderful host who greeted us, showed us around, provided local recs, provided water and wood, and created a great experience. Also close to awesome hiking and swimming!

My husband and I stayed at the RV campsite which was lovely. Very quiet, clean, and secluded. We left very early so didn’t have a chance to explore much, however we plan to definitely come back! James was easy to reach and gave some helpful tips for our stay.

This campsite was quiet and peaceful.
At night, we saw fireflies and lots of stars in the sky – it was beautiful. Nothing fancy, but it’s got everything you need. Great if you’re looking for a simple and chill camping trip
Also James, the host, is super friendly and helpful. He gave us tips on where to watch the sunset, he also gives campers a small booklet with info about nearby activities.
We usually camp at North-South Lake, but it’s been really crowded lately, especially on weekends. So this time, we stayed here for a quiet night and went to North-South Lake just for day use the next day.
We’d love to come back again!

This place is awesome to the point that words doesn’t give it justice.
The host is incredibly nice, attentive and his level of hospitality is beyond , he even blessed us with fire wood for our entire stay , the place was as advertised quit and peaceful , the serenity we had was what we were looking for , it’s close to all the catskill attractions , definitely recommend this place for campers , we had to extent our stay for one more day, because we couldn’t get enough, surely will be back

I loved camping at this location. The host was extremely attentive. He made the camping trip worth it. Wood was throughout the campsite which was amazing. Quiet and tranquil are the best words to be used. Maybe less than a 10 min drive to Walmart which was amazing. Me and my wife will be going back. We would love to try his other camp site a. All in all 10/10 recommend !!!!

James was really sweet and a great host. The site wasn’t as secluded as we imagined. It is located on his property about 25 yards from his sheds. The land itself is beautiful but it wasn’t quiet for most the afternoon since the neighbors were mowing their lawn the whole time.

This is exactly as advertised: quiet and peaceful. If you want to get away from crowded, noisy campgrounds, this is the place for you. Jim was a welcoming host, and the site is simple yet lovely. We would definitely go there again if in the area.
