Lake Of The Woods Cabin #1
My partner and I loved this cute cabin , right next to Lake Erie! It’s a great size, very clean, and had all the amenities we needed for the start of our cross country trip back home , including a buddy heater for the cold night. Thank you so much for the extra blankets too! We were perfectly snug. We wish we could have spent another night. We got gluten free pizza at Villaggio Italiano, which is right down the road — it was delicious! Couldn’t recommend this spot more!

Absolutely amazing! Above and beyond! Brian our host was wonderful! Always available. The details inside and outside of the cabin were spectacular. The mowed path was an extra bonus, the beautiful art work on the path, the super comfortable bed, the sweet arrival goodies bag and cleanliness. I cannot wait to return!!

We loved our stay. The cabin is perfect. We did not mind being close to the road or the tracks. Everything was very wooded and felt private. close to town and right by the lake. The cabin had a bunch of amenities that were not mentioned such as a gas grill and an indoor cooktop, lanterns, a cooler etc. Very well set up. We will stay again.

We loved our stay at Brian’s cabin. It was a perfect spot for a last minute getaway. We loved the decor and record player - we had a good mix of what was available and brought some of our own to spin too. The spot was between two houses but still felt private and secluded. Our dogs enjoyed themselves aside from some nearby fireworks around dusk, which thankfully didn’t last long. We really enjoyed being able to relax and watch all the birds and butterflies around the meadow during the day and enjoyed the fire at night. It’s conveniently located to the town park/beach and grocery store. The cabin had everything we needed and more. They even left us a little gift to make s’mores. We’ve already recommended to our friends and I’m sure we’ll be back soon!

It was a great cabin, I can also see it being a great place for the winter as they have a indoor wood heater. I definitely recommend and the hosts are very responsive!

Me and my dog went out for just a night, the owners were so nice and helpful. The cabin is so nice and cozy inside and the record player and albums were amazing.. nothing like the Beatles and Neil Diamond to clear your head. They had everything you need if you didn’t bring anything. Great little getaway and I felt very safe. Take a trip you’ll love it

Words cannot describe how amazing this location is. The hosts went out of their way to make this a welcoming overnight experience. We had wood for the fire, a fun gift bag full of everything we needed for s’mores, a camp chair, camp stove, food just in case, spices, a record player with tons of albums, a very clean porta potty and so much more. The bed was so comfortable and the location perfect for our overnight . Thank you again.

The Amish cabin was such a relaxing, little hidden gem. Well furnished and solar powered! Host was amazing, friendly, and easy to communicate with. Such a short walking distance to grocery, small beach/bay area with gorgeous views of lake Erie. You can adventure on the land and check out some unique sculptures, beautiful pollinator gardens, and sunset views! The deli was recommended by host for a great spot for the Thai chili wings, which were absolutely delicious. Would definitely stay again for a recharge.

We loved camping at Brian and destiny's small cabin, it was delightful, we were able to stay warm the bed was comfortable, and the host and hostess for the mostest. They were really great they went above and beyond and helped us have a really great time. We can't say enough, can't wait to return.

I had a really lovely stay at The Lake of the Woods. I booked last minute and check in was smooth and easy and the host was very communicative and kind. The cabin is peaceful and secluded enough where I felt I had my privacy. There is noise from the road so if you are looking for total silence, this will likely not work for you. That being said, it did not bother me at all and I am a fairly light sleeper. I felt the noise from the birds and the train to balance everything out and I enjoyed the soundtrack. The cabin has all the necessities (cookware, handheld lanterns, Jackery, porta potty, etc.) and then some. I didn’t get to try the record player but thought that was a really sweet touch. The host left a propane heater since it was fairly cold the night I stayed but with an extra wool blanket I brought, I slept perfectly without it. The bed is also quite comfortable. The host also left a care package. The cabin is a short drive to many Lake Erie beaches and lookouts that I explored on my way back home. The cabin would be a really nice place to settle in after a day at the beach. I would definitely recommend The Lake of the Woods to anyone looking for a spacious and peaceful place to relax with just the perfect amount of creature comforts and nature for your stay. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

My weekend stay at Lake of the Woods Cabin was extremely comfortable and charming thanks to Brian and Destiny’s hospitality. The record player sold me on it in the pictures and the music vibe was just what I needed. I love the sound of a train whistle - there were many trains that went by. The spring peepers lulled me to sleep at night. I sat on the cabin porch, read a book, and listened to the rain and the birds (it rained all weekend). The hosts left a small care package and extra towels for my dogs’ muddy feet and the handwritten note was such a nice gesture. The hosts were extremely accessible and responsive if I needed anything. Nice hiking trails and access to Lake Erie are all close by. It was such an enjoyable weekend that exceeded my expectations!

This cabin was the perfect getaway! We couldn’t get over the vibes and how cozy it was. You can tell that there was a lot of thought and attention to detail when it came to this cabin! Within the first hour we were already planning our next trip back & we can’t wait!

Super cozy little cabin! Interesting decor, excellent records, comfy bed and very thoughtful accommodating hosts. It was very clean and they had several kitchen utensils and clean grill. Bedding was also provided.
The cabin is set far back from the road, but you will hear traffic, it does die down at night. And we loved hearing the trains!

Far enough from the roads to be private, extremely nice little cabin! You can hear the trains passing by the back but it is very nice (if you like trains lol)
Will definitely return to explore the rest of the property!

The cabin was amazing, the bed was super comfy,it was also very clean, it was great to get fresh air and clear our minds. The area was private and the hosts had some cool things to keep you busy if you didn't want to go anywhere. I love that it was close to everything you could need and the host Brian and Destiny were super friendly, understanding and chill loved their vibes!!! Will definitely be coming back to stay here yearly and will refer to my friends.

Really enjoyed my stay at this cabin - great set-up with kitchenware and wood for fire pit. I wish I had the time to drive into the extensive record collection! Very communicative and welcoming host. I would strongly recommend staying here if you're in the area passing through.

This was a fabulous place to stay…beautiful and comfortable. It is somewhere between camping and a hotel, Way too comfortable and nice to just be camping but also without all of the amenities that would make it into a hotel room. Gold star!

I came up from Burlington, VT for Memorial Day weekend to see Niagra Falls. It was a solid get-away weekend spot. The cabin was clean and inviting. I unplugged from my media devices and jammed out to the wide mix of vinyl available for the record player. Played some Neil Diamond and discovered a few other classics. The host was very attentive and accommodating. If your looking for a cabin in the area then look no further.

The camp was so cute.. location not great.. Host was very polite and left a cute goodie bag.. loud road noise and train noise but over all cute.. Will probably return after he gets the land around the cabin finished .. Close to Lake Erie..

This place is a great getaway tucked back in your private little spot in the woods. It was so nice to just come in and relax, we even got a little gift bag with smores and items so that was a huge plus that we were expecting. The owner is super friendly and always willing to help! Defiantly would come back again! 😁

Very cute tiny little HipCamp.. Absolutely loved the inside and the very comfortable bed was a great surprise crawling in at 10pm after a very long day.. The gentlemen we rented the place from was quick to respond and easy to communicate with.. He also left us a welcome bag of goodies!
I suggest backing down the driveway to the camp theres no space to turn around!! Bring wood! Lots of things were provided like pots, pans, utensils, bug spray, garbage bags, few extra blankets, flashlights, Porta, potty, outside foot pump water stations to clean up a little.. I will say I kinda enjoyed the trains running behind us all night long.. the traffic stopped alot after dark! Will more then likely return again! Oh.. did I mention I love how all the doors open up to let air flow through♡ .. It smells like cedar inside its lovely.. will definitely return on our next trip to New York from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. There is state park not far with a nice beach , and several places to get supplies if needed

Had a great stay here for the eclipse, its great little cabin with lots of comforts already in. Brian is amazing an extremely gracious host who really went above and beyond. The Cabins clearly loved and cared for, with lots of charm and amenities, with camping stoves, a propane heater, personal clean porta potty w/ sink as well as a dish sink it was it really was nice having so many creature comforts.
The bed was comfy and the site is really close to several beaches and parks. We hiked Eternal Flames falls near by. Night sky here isn't to bad either and we were able to make some s'mores at the camp fire with the provided camp fire wood.
Really the only things to be aware of is the road/train noise plus some airplane noise, and bird/wildlife noise at night which can take a minute to get used to but we were able to sleep no problem as the bed was actually quite comfy. Other than that the drive way is a little tight so you will need to reverse to exit or park in reverse, you can not do a U-turn to exit.
Overall we had a great time here and would certainly consider staying here again if we were in the area!
