Welcome to James Rae Camps, a 50 acre off-grid camping retreat located inside the Adirondack park within the town of Duane. This campground offers a peaceful experience as you are fully immersed in nature. There is abundant wildlife and a diverse forest to explore using our many private trails; as well as exclusive back country access to over 157k acres of forever wild state land. Enjoy the luminous colors displayed across the evening sky with our elevation and 6 acre field clearing. The stargazing is simply magnificent here in the Adirondacks. Needs to make a trip to town? You have a short 25 minute drive north to the town of Malone or 45 minute drive south to the town of Saranac. There are endless adventures surrounding this great camping location. We are happy to share our favorites and pass on any tips we've acquired over our time here in Adirondack Mountains.Escape to the heart of nature—without giving up comfort—at our secluded tent glamping site in the pristine northern Adirondacks. Your private tent is fully equipped with a stocked outdoor cooking area, including a gas combo grill/skillet for effortless meals. From hearty breakfasts to dinners under the stars, everything you need is ready and waiting. For added comfort and privacy, a separate privacy tent includes a portable toilet and hand washing station. Whether you spend your days hiking nearby trails, unwinding by the fire, or simply soaking in the quiet beauty around you, our glamping site offers the ideal mix of rustic charm, modern convenience, and peaceful solitude.
