We loved staying at this property! We enjoyed playing cards by the beautiful creek and taking walks on the property. It was a short drive from longer hikes, such as Fahnestock State Park, which we took advantage of. Bill and Stephen were really helpful in making sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely come back again!

This spot stands out as my favorite of all the Hipcamp sites I’ve stayed at upstate. The location is essentially perfect... peaceful, beautiful, and easy to get to. I come here every year with my son, it’s become a tradition for us. Stephen, the host, is always a pleasure, communicative, kind, and genuinely cares about the experience. The inside of the tent is well maintained, and the stream that runs right in front adds such a magical touch. I highly recommend this place, just don’t book it in early October, because that’s when We like to come!

We loved Hunterbrook Mountain! Stephen was a gracious and friendly host, providing clear and helpful information before and during our stay. The site is private, peaceful, beautiful, and hard to leave. Stephen provides cookware, a hammock, cleaning supplies, cards, a football, and more. Multiple trails on the property. Fresh spring water available anytime. Can’t wait to go back!

We loved the tent and the space. The hosts were very responsive and informative. It's clear they want campers to have a great experience. The terrain to the site is uphill & the hike up there is not for faint of heart or the overly wobbly. It's not a long hike, but it is rocky and at a constant incline. But what you'll find at the end of it is really lovely. Would be wonderful for a group, with extra tents. The amenities are exceptional-- bed!!! battery, camp chairs, firewood, potable water, cooking gear, shower, compost toilet (I had no idea they could be this good), fairy lights! There are so many hikes, a few lakes, and excellent food options within 10-15 mins drive; with 2 hikes on the property.
One warning for those who care: Although you are surrounded by nature, you can hear large/noisy vehicles through the night (trucks switching gears, motorcycles). This wasn't an issue for us and we slept like logs, but it might be for sensitive sleepers or folks who want all their senses to bathe in nature.

Hunterbrook was fantastic. It was peaceful, Bill was super friendly and helpful, and the site was clean and really well stocked. The location is great for day hikes in Fahnestock State Park (10 mims) or the Hudson Highlands (20 mins). We had a terrific time hiking in the daytime and sitting by the fire and brook at night.

Amazing experience! We loved the seclusion of the camp site while also having the comfort of being close to the car. Stephen and Bill were most accommodating, providing a jeep ride to the camp site to help carry our supplies, recommending local attractions and suggesting an amazing spot to view the 4th of July fireworks. The camp site has a beautiful creek and a couple of trails to explore right there. The spot is well looked after and has everything for a relaxing time.
Will be happy to go back!

Awesome place. Super peaceful perch secluded away on Bill and Stephen’s property. Perfect blend of camping and some conveniences that make it super easy (drinkable water tap, shower/outhouse, equipped large tent, table, grill, etc.) Great hikes too. Also they are nearby for help. Awesome hosts.

Such a fantastic weekend. I would recommend especially for anyone looking for some privacy and alone time but we will definitely be back with the kids too. The pictures online really don’t do justice to how beautiful and private the tent site was. The tent was extremely clean inside and again much nicer than the photos online suggested. It’s situated right next to the brook and the sound of running water was so relaxing. The hosts were both very nice and extremely accommodating to make sure we were comfortable and prepared. You can hike straight out of the campsite on trails and there is lots to do in the local area. Probably one of the best parts was that we were NOT getting eaten alive by mosquitos, we didn’t get bit once all weekend!

This is an awesome secluded glamping site with everything that you need! Right next to a creek and a few hiking trails around the campsite. The string lights at night look amazing. It's a short hike up to the camp site but Steve & Bill offered to take our stuff up there in their jeep which was great. Would visit again in a heartbeat.

We love this spot! Both Stephen and Bill were great hosts—super accommodating and always making sure we had everything we needed. The site is a gem with a nice creek running through it. The tent is clean and spacious. I would only recommend bringing your own cookware, as their items have gotten a little moldy. Definitely coming back and recommended it to our friends and family!!

This place is so relaxing and so serene with the sound of the birds and the rustling brook, a romantic feeling of living in the woods with Bill, our super accommodating host!
Even though we fell short on our prep for our 3-day isolation, he made it possible to alleviate the logistics. I hope they have a convenient supply stand to sustain a longer stay, such as ice and charcoal.

We had a wonderful time, Bill and Steven are fantastic hosts that made sure we were well looked after. Bill helped us start a fire as well. The tent was comfortable and situated on a beautiful location.

This is our second time coming to this camp site. It’s a really beautiful spot secluded so that you have privacy and can enjoy being in the woods.
We came with our two kids ages 4 and 1. And the amenities are perfect for young kids. We have a basement full of tents and camping cookware that would be honestly too stressful to manage with two young kids and a travel crib. Having a solid sleep spot and cookware available means that we get to share our love of the outdoors with them! Both loved playing in the creek. And going on nature walks.
Stephen is a great host who helps lug the gear to and from the camp spot and is around if you need anything without hovering. Also his
Kids are super sweet and showed my big kid the best play spot in the creek.
