Two hours from NYC, close to skiing (hunter mountain/ Windham , Kaaterskill falls, Woodstock, Hudson, Saugerties. FAQ Is my rental secluded? Our property is 8 acres, exactly the same as seven football fields. From your private deck and the big window, you will not see any other houses as far as eyes can see. We added fence panels to make it even more private. We have attached a satellite picture of the property to give you a better idea. As required by zoning law, there is a larger cabin on the property. But it is far enough and visually isolated enough that you won't feel it's presence (at least from the feedback we got from other guests.) We are located in a rural hamlet and a mile down the road there is a tiny town with two cafes , two bars and two restaurants. But your place is one New York block distance away from the street towards tree filled uninhabited area, adding to the sense of seclusion. I have never been in a tiny house, what can I expect? The "tiny house nation" style tiny houses are around 144 to 250 sqft, ours is 144 sqft. So,we are on the "smaller" side. Our guests have commented that its actually does not feel cramped. You will have heating, AC, hot shower, flushing toilet, kitchenette for basic cooking, small fridge, queen bed etc. You also have a private deck and a private outdoor fireplace to make S'mores and to grill. Are pets allowed? We just require that they should never be left alone and peace pick up after them. Our cleaning company charges a pet fee. If you forgot to pay it or decided to bring a pet last minute, please leave the amount as a tip to the cleaners. That way the cleaners get to keep the money and then they won't report the pet to the cleaning company. This also saves us the hassle of going back and forth with the cleaning company, reviewing the camera footage and ultimately paying it out of our own pockets. Also, please keep in mind that the house is really small at 144 sqft which may be too cramped for some large dogs. I work from home, how is the WiFi? We have had multiple guests who worked from home during the pandemic. Our provider is spectrum (the monopoly in the area). Luckily, outages are very rare and get fixed promptly (you may have to restart the router). Speed is always good for multiple simultaneous video calls and movie streaming. Do you provide firewood? Not yet! You do not need firewood to heat the house. If you want to use the outdoor fireplace, look for 'Campwood' signs and buy from our neighbors.(Also @ Walmart, Stewart gas stations etc.) What about Towels-Soap-Linens-Hot water? Is there heating/cooling? Can we cook? Yes! Yes! Yes! and Yes!. Think of all the amenities a hotel provides plus a tiny kitchen. Hot plate, refrigerator, electric kettle, drip coffee, plates, cutlery - we have all that we could cram into the tiny space. Our guests use the outdoor fireplace for BBQ and smores! Can I check in early? or Check out late? No and Yes. Due to the super strict covid19 cleaning process, we can no longer offer early check in. However, we can offer late checkout up to an hour. Please inform us in advance so that the cleaning crew can adjust accordingly.

**Its a tiny house in the woods. Built on a 24 ft trailer and half the trailer is a insulated warm living space and rest is a glass dome with panoramic views. FAQ What should I know before booking? 1. It's super tiny and not a full fledged house,( we DO HAVE flushing toilet, heating, hot shower, AC, mini kitchen etc.) It's closer to camping than a hotel. Read below for more.. 2. There is heating and air conditioning . But the Dome section is like a covered outdoor area, only heated by wood stove and no cooking.. The dome causes green house affect which is great in Winter/ Spring/Fall but not so great in Summer. It does get cool after the sun goes down as long as you keep the fans running with door open . 3. The fridge is tiny, and a lot of guests cook a lot using the outdoor stove. A cooler is recommended to store all the grill meat etc. 4. There other tiny cabins on the same property ( read below for more) 5. Well water, small bathroom, small water heater. Is my rental secluded? You will see lots of reviews mentioning the word "very private" to describe this place. However, the feeling of seclusion can be very subjective so I am just going to state some objective data and let you decide if it is private or not. Our property is 8 acres, exactly the same as seven football fields. All the windows and doors face the forest and no other structures are visible through the windows. We added fence panels . We have attached a satellite picture of the property to give you a better idea. There is a larger cabin on the property ( 30 meters away ) and another tiny house (called venster on Airbnb) 30 meters from your front door. Your rental faces away from them and are NOT visible once you are inside or in the front yard. We do have a doorbell camera but it only captures a small section of the deck. We can only see when people are stepping on the deck . **there is a Jewish summer camp nearby. in summer you may hear Yiddish/ Hebrew language prayers coming through the forest

An old school camper, painstakingly renovated to give it a Scandinavian look in the front, and a cozy cabin feel in the bedroom. Extra insulation keeps it warm even on zero degree days! It as flushing toilet, hot shower, AC and a mini kitchen. Located two hours from NYC and close to Hudson, Kaaterskill falls and ski slopes! What are the cons? - Biggest complaint we get is the low ceiling. Especially from people six feet plus. And then the bugs outside in summer. Is it secluded? Many review call this place "very private". However, this is very subjective so I am just going present some data and let you decide. We are on 8 acres, (seven football fields ) We have attached a satellite picture of the property to give you a better idea. there is a larger cabin on the property. But it is far enough and visually isolated enough that you won't feel it's presence (at least from the feedback we got from other guests.) Are pets allowed? We love pets. But please never leave them alone or off leash and pick up after them. Our cleaning company charges a pet fee ($20) for the extra pet hair cleaning involved. Can we bring an infant/child? Unfortunately, the space is too tight for a child. So no :( I work from home, how is the WiFi? We have never received any complaints from our WFH guests. Outages are very rare and get fixed promptly. Do you provide firewood? Not yet! But gas stations like Stewart, Walmart etc. sell firewood. Is there heating, AC, Hot shower, flushing toilet, cooking basics? Yes to all (check out the amenities section) What should we bring? Drinking water, spices, cooking oil. If you want to have a fire outside, firewood, fire starter, lighter. s'mores kit. Can I check in early? .. No :( Covid19 cleaning regulations were never lifted, we can no longer offer early check in. How about late checkout ? -- We can offer late checkout up to an hour. Please inform us a day in advance so that the cleaning crew can adjust accordingly.

Venter Tiny House

The day we stayed was freezing, but the cabin was very warm, and the water ran smoothly. The shower had great water pressure. From the cabin's main window, there were no houses or other buildings visible, but there is another HipCamp or Airbnb about 120 feet away. Cabin was small, but more than enough for 2 ppl at least for us. The cabin felt more like it was in someone’s backyard, so it’s not super private, but the distance from other houses was acceptable. Note that check-in is at 5 PM, which is already dark during the winter, leaving no opportunity to enjoy the sunset—something I love to spend by the fire. Plan carefully to make the most of your stay. Important Tip: DO NOT rely on the Apple Maps or Google Maps links in the HipCamp app. It as an error and they lead to a wrong location about 7 minutes away. Instead, I recommend entering the address manually.

The Dome House

Wonderful stay. The Dome House was set up so thoughtfully, including amenities and layout that had clearly been designed mindfully. Instructions scattered around the room making everything easy to use. Responsive host. Beautiful property. 100% would recommend and stay again.

Venter Tiny House

The tiny home was so cute and super clean! My pup and I loved exploring the acreage. Although it was quite close to the other tiny home and main house on the property, the privacy fence and large window facing out to the woods made it feel very private and secluded. Due to weather (rain) and a brush ban in the county I wasn't able to use the outside area or outdoor stove to have a fire, but that would have been a bonus! I loved the design of the home, it was small, but cozy. I didn't feel cramped at all. WIFI worked great and cell service was fine (mint mobile/T-mobile). The host responded to my questions quickly and was very responsive. The notes on the fridge were rubbed off so I had to ask for the WIFI password. The water in the sinks got very hot but the hot water in the shower didn't last very long. I take quick showers too, but ended up being a cold one. Regardless it was very spacious, clean and nice to have. There was a carton of eggs left in the small fridge when I got there that was frozen, so not sure if the cleaners checked that. I just left the eggs in there when I left since I wasn't there long and they weren't mine. All-in-all I would definitely stay again. It was a nice retreat from the city. Exactly 2 hours from where I live in East Bronx. Thank you!
