Had a lovely stay! Beautiful property. Worth noting that there’s a house not pictured that’s a bit closer to the site than expected, but the owners were very respectful and gave us the privacy that the listing implies. Definitely recommend

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Absolute Hidden Gem – Secl

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hipcamp Catskill Mountain View near Parksville, New York! The price was super low and offered a truly great deal for everything provided. The host was incredibly friendly and easy to deal with, which made the entire experience seamless. If you are looking for privacy and quiet, this is the perfect spot. The campsite features lots of lush green grass and mature trees, and our site was perfectly level and surrounded by beautiful wildflowers.
It is very big-rig friendly, with plenty of room to spare for our truck and 30-foot travel trailer. Having 30-amp electric and water hookups available right at the site made the stay super comfortable, though you will definitely want to bring a 40-foot extension cord to comfortably reach the power pedestal. Connectivity was also flawless—T-Mobile and Starlink both worked great, and the host generously had Wi-Fi available as well.
Future campers should just note a quick tip for the driveway: take your time backing down the grassy entrance, as our steps dragged just a bit. We also needed to engage our 4-wheel drive when leaving the grass.
The highlight of our trip was definitely the wildlife. During our stay, we saw several deer, chipmunks, and a groundhog, and we loved watching the geese and listening to the peaceful sound of bullfrogs croaking in the pond.
The location is also very convenient. Monticello is just a short drive away, great pizza & shopping and a lovely lake.

Our stay at Shakawat’s was a much needed getaway from the city. Shakawat was accommodating and communicative with whatever was needed. We really enjoyed spending time here and will definitely be back soon. Highly recommend coming to see what it’s all about, especially sunrise.

We keep coming back to Shakawat’s camping spot because it is ideal if you want to escape city life. He is very hospitable and it is an absolutely gorgeous setting.

This is a great spot in a beautiful setting. The view from the camping area is spectacular. It was very nice having access to water and electricity. Shakawat was very responsive and helpful throughout our time there.
