Welcome to this unique private off grid cabin carefully designed and built for a special and cozy Western Catskills experience! The cabin features a wood stove, outdoor shower, incinerator toilet, outdoor grill, deck, fire pit and plenty of parking. It it located in Andes near the famous Palmer Hill lookout, just 5 minutes from Downtown. Welcome to this unique private off-grid cabin carefully designed and built for a special and cozy Western Catskills experience! The solar-powered cabin features a wood stove, seasonal outdoor shower, incinerator toilet, outdoor grill, deck, fire pit and plenty of parking. It is located in Andes near the famous Palmer Hill lookout, just 5 minutes from Downtown. Fresh sheets, potable water, TP, and cabin firewood included. USB Type A/3.0 ports available in the cabin for phone charging or low voltage devices. PLEASE NOTE: 1) There is no cell service or Wifi at the cabin or in town of Andes. Wifi can be found in town at all of the local businesses, or in the neighboring towns of Margaretville and Delhi. 2) The location is private and quiet, but the cabin is located off of a shared driveway with the main house. We try to be as courteous with our driving as possible when campers are using the cabin, as we want you to have a wonderful stay! 3) FREEZING NOTICE: The outdoor rainwater shower will be shut off for the winter, but may be re-activated depending on periods of warm weather in late fall or early spring weather. There is NO POTABLE RUNNING WATER and all additional water must be brought in. A 2.5 gallon jug of fresh water will be provided for drinking, dish washing, brushing teeth, etc. 4) It helps when requests for booking come from Hip Camp accounts with full profiles and positive reviews!Welcome to this unique private off-grid cabin carefully designed and built for a special and cozy Western Catskills experience! Cozy Off-Grid Escape

We loved our stay at Alessandro’s cabin! It was cozy, cleverly designed, and full of thoughtful, creative touches - including lots of smart, sustainable details that made the whole place feel especially intentional. The outdoor patio was a major highlight for cooking and dining, and their local recommendations led us to some of our favorite stops. With no cell signal, we got the full off-grid experience in the best possible way. Between the firepit, frogs, birdsong, and starry nights, it was the perfect reset - and Alessandro and Sarah were such warm, thoughtful hosts that made the stay feel extra special.

We had a great time at the cabin. Beautiful location, Alessandro and his wife were so nice and helpful. Grill available as well, so that was super helpful for making food. It's a shared driveway with the hosts but they are very lowkey and you hardly see them. We had some rain storms come through a few times and it was nice to be in a safe and sturdy cabin. Lots of airflow inside and we stayed nice and dry and no water came in. Highly recommend a visit.

Had a lovely stay in the tiny house. The Wood stove was super warm. Pretty Mountain View’s from the porch and was fun cooking dinner outside. A nice getaway space. Make sure to have 4x4 wheel drive because the driveway is steep at the top.

We had an amazing stay at this cozy, private cabin! The owner personally met us when we arrived and took the time to explain how to use everything. The cabin itself was spotless, comfortable, and perfectly set up for a peaceful getaway. It’s the ideal spot if you’re looking to unwind and escape your regular day-to-day routine. We definitely recommend this place and would love to come back!

We had the best stay at Alessandro’s cabin! The place was spotless and had everything we needed for a peaceful getaway in the Catskills. Alessandro met us when we arrived and explained everything clearly. The cabin is in a beautiful, quiet spot but still just a short drive to downtown Andes. We enjoyed the Andes Diner for breakfast. We loved the outdoor shower and the relaxing vibe all around.

Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Everything was so clean and honestly picture perfect. Appreciate Alessandro meeting us and giving some suggestions in the area. The cabin is very private and you really feel at home in the secluded area. We will definitely return!

Near lots of cool hikes and charming Andes downtown. Alessandro made sure we had grilling supplies and drinking water. Outdoor shower was amazing- sun ray on your body. Alessandro’s house is up the road but overall super quiet.

We had a great stay at Alessandro’s cabin! Everything was clean and comfortable, with all necessities anticipated. We enjoyed grilling, a campfire, and the outdoor shower (it gets plenty hot). The incinerator toilet was convenient and easy to use. The beautiful property was quiet and secluded but close in proximity to plenty of outdoor activities. The town of Andes was great, we especially enjoyed Cafe Mutsi.

This cabin is a perfect getaway from the busy everyday life. Has all the comforts needed and having no cell service was a blessing. Great way to unplug from the world. Will definitely like to spend another weekend there.

Beautiful Cabin

My Husband and I came to this cabin for my birthday weekend and we had a great time! The cabin was beautiful and well maintained. The wood stove inside was great for keeping us warm on the chilly nights. Also, the windows inside open which is good if you need some fresh air. It truly is 'off-the-grid' as there is no cell service but sometimes that's a good thing when you are trying to disconnect from your worries. The location is close to a lot of hiking trails if you are interested in getting out into nature. Alessandro was a kind, welcoming and accommodating host, it was great getting to meet him. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone!

My fiancee & I spent an incredible weekend at Alessandro's cabin. The cabin itself was stunning, comfortable, & well cared-for & meticulously maintained. The location was beautiful & secluded yet easy to get to. From there it's easy to get to all of your favorite Catskills hotspots (we hiked to the Balsam Lake Mountain Fire Tower). Alessandro was a gracious & thoughtful host. Highly recommend!

Don’t miss this hidden gem! Best of both worlds, camping + comfort! Alessandro & Sarah are the most charming of hosts! Super helpful and thoughtful with their hospitality. Take a run 🏃🏻‍♀️, star gaze by the fire pit, walk Palmer Hill Trail or spend the afternoon in Andes with fabulous restaraunts & shops! I WILL be coming back! 🥰
