The campsite was perfectly located near great trailheads, and was so peaceful by the river. Easy to get to, wood was easy to access, clean toilet and cleared area to set up camp. Would definitely come back.Thank you!

Excellent spot to rest for an adventure motorcyclist. Spot was so pretty. The outhouse was super clean. Camping spot was clean. Would stop here again if I'm in the area.

Beautiful, well kept campsites in the pines with great access to the river. My friends and I had a nice overnight stay and the dog really enjoyed playing in the river. However, the place was a bit pricey for being just a basic campsite with limited amenities. We paid a total of $110 for one night. There was a porta potty available, but that was mostly it. The listing stated that firewood was provided, but a sign by the firewood pile stated that it was $5. We ended up just collecting sticks from the ground and burning those. Also, it was right by the road so there were cars frequently passing by, as well as, the campsites being right next to each other which makes it less private. We did overall have a nice time and loved camping amongst the trees with the river nearby so I would recommend it for that reason, but just be warned that it comes with a pretty hefty price tag.

Conveniant location to hikes and downtown. The river view / private beach area was lovely! Our site was flat and spacious for spreading out a little campsite with a few friends. We even got a clear view of the northern lights from the river rock beach area. After driving in Initially it was a little tricky to decipher which spots were the separate camp designated areas but they were spread out nicely. You can see your neighbors a tad while being far enough apart to feel private.

Lovely tent stay by a running river, super peaceful and relatively private. You are somewhat near a rather popular roadway, but it's not much of a bother overnight. Besides that you feel relatively alone. Other campsites within ear shot but again, not much of a bother. Site is a bit small, so probably would only fit one large-ish tent or a couple smaller tents. Firewood is available which is nice. Overall nice stay, rather pricey for a tent site but I suppose that's sort of everywhere in the Adirondack park area.

Great campsite right by the river and right by Keene and the High Peaks! This was exactly what we needed. The camp spot was flat, well shaded, and quiet. We’ll definitely stay here again.

This site is amazing. Beautiful river views and very close to downtown Lake Placid and many great hiking trails. Jay was very kind and even helped us out when our vehicle got stuck. Highly recommend!

A truly lovely camping spot. We loved the river and all the campsites were well wooded. The location was easy to find after speaking to the host. There is a porta potty on site for all three sites to use. We loved that we were able to check in at 2 pm and not have to check out until 12 pm. We stayed for two nights and it gave us so much time to enjoy the beauty of the camping area. Campsite one has a small bar like table that has been built out of wood but the only thing I wish the campsite provided was a table, we brought our own though so it was no issue. I would definitely recommend anyone looking for a relaxing weekend at the river to stay at one of Jays sites.

Nice campsites. The sound of the river at night is lovely for sleeping. The portable toilet was clean and accessible. It’s a bit close to the road so you do see cars and hear them on the road at night and the three sites are relatively close together, but otherwise it’s a very peaceful location. Good stars at night over the river, lovely water in the heat, and shade from the trees at the site. Overall very very nice.

We love staying at Jays - very peaceful spot right on the river. The location is great, central to a lot of the hikes we really enjoy, just a couple minutes ride to Stewsrts for ice restock and last minute item and a pretty quick ride into lake placid if that’s for you. Nice little beach area out by the river is perfect on a hot day, we stayed at site 1 which is spacious and easy access down to the river

Second year camping at the river. Absolutely lovely spot. It's definitely becoming a tradition for our family. Sites are clean. Toilet is clean! Honestly the only thing that could have made this trip more perfect is if the fish I saw swimming by me feet would have taken my bait! Definitely recommend!

The camp site was beautiful! The huge stream is wonderful and I walked in it for hours, just looking at all the different rocks. The whole area is very nice and clean and the owner is very friendly!

Les sites sont directement sur le bord de la rivière. L’endroit est propre. Une forêt majestueuse peuple le terrain. Une toilette est disponible. Je recommande fortement. D’ailleurs, si j’ai à refaire de camping dans ce coin, je camperai au même endroit.
