The Third Paddock is a little sanctuary at the edge of reality. Our 5-acre bush block is located in the Hunter Valley, just 90 minutes from Sydney. This isn’t your average campground. It’s an ever-changing experiment in sustainability, architecture, art, and community, built with a deep love for nature’s wild side. 🌳 What You’ll Find Here - A handful of bushland sites - Communal fire pit and grill for hearty meals - A shady dam that is home to lots of frogs - Optional hike-in sites for those wanting more privacy - Proximity to Laguna and Wollombi, where you'll find cafes, pubs, art galleries, wineries, and other local businesses– all within a 20-minute drive of our property - On the edge of Yango National Park with unlimited hikes Note: You'll know you've arrived when you see a colourful shed up the driveway. We are currently building a small cabin on the block, and we ask that you stay away from the building site.Discover the magic of the Hunter Valley at our unique bush retreat in Laguna, just a short drive from Sydney. Nestled among towering gum trees, our campground offers the perfect spot to unwind, reconnect, and make unforgettable memories with loved ones. Pitch your tent or roll in with your camper trailer—our spacious sites can accommodate solo travelers or large groups. Expect breathtaking sunsets, peaceful sunrises, and wide-open skies. Whether you're chilling by the fire or heading out for a day of adventure, there's plenty to enjoy. While you’re here, check out the local gems: Wine tasting in Broke, art galleries in historic Wollombi, or lunch at the Great Northern Trading Post in Laguna What to expect: → Toilets & Facilities: A composting toilet is available. There are no cooking or kitchen facilities, so please come prepared. → Campfires: Fire pits are available unless there’s a fire ban. Firewood can be purchased onsite. Before you book: → Arrive before sunset to make setup easy and stress-free. We recommend arriving before dark so you can pick your site and settle in. → No Reception or Wifi: Embrace the digital detox—there’s no phone signal at the property. For wifi or reception, visit the Great Northern Trading Post. For supplies or services, Wollombi is your best bet. → Road conditions: Roads to the property are unsealed but manageable for most regular cars and SUVs. The tar road into the Hunter is winding—take it slow and enjoy the views. → Bring your own water & ice
