The camp was mostly as advertised. The outhouse didn't exist, and when we contacted the owner they said that it had been destroyed in a storm and had to be removed. There was also quite a lot of trash around the entrance to the camp (several bags that had been ripped open by animals and strewn about), that appeared to have been there for quite some time. We had brought a weedwhacker and we whacked a path down into the woods. The woods were much nicer, there was an established fire ring, and we tent-camped down there. We needed to dig a hole to go number 2, and we found a shovel for this in the shed, which was helpful. Also, the refrigerator did not work at all (which the owner does note in the listing not to count on anything listed being in or functional in the camp).
So if you're planning to go to camp, and you don't mind digging a hole to poop (or driving 5 minutes away to Appleknockers), this place works.

Amazing cabin, reliable electricity, spacious, and surprisingly clean. I'll definitely be coming back if I ever come to this area again. Hiked part of Mt Washington and Moosilauke. The backyard is filled with pricker bushes so watch out!

I love the quietness and simplicity of this cabin. My kids loved the fire pit and the woods nearby. This was the second time we camped here and we would recommend it to the true camper!

Would not stay here again. Ended up leaving a day earlier as planned because it wasn’t worth staying another night. Save your money and go some place else

Private Cabin Near Mt Moosilauke
Shivans cabin and land was exactly as advertised. My kids and husband enjoyed the rustic nature and the rural feel of the place. Apple knocker’s is a wonderful store right down the road and there is an awesome swimming hole nearby.

Private Cabin Near Mt Moosilauke
The cabin is nestled on a hilltop by the road overlooking a forest clearing. The property is beautiful. The land was huge and you could easily set up tents by the cabin as well, and there was a fire pit. The woods were pretty cool, we hiked a bit through them and it'd be easy to get lost the property is so extensive. It is also convenient to other trailheads nearby. The cabin itself was well equipped with tons of useful things, which was a surprise and very convenient, and was nice to have electricity. There's a few convenience stores nearby too that had the necessities. It was a perfect spot to stay, a super great value. Will definitely come back to stay there!
