Magical, that's how I'd describe this site ✨️ Nestled along the creek, relaxation comes easily. And wow, it was a treat to have such a level site! The picnic table and firepit make the spot so cozy. But, there is also a nice grassy area. It is right on the road, but the way it's positioned with the trees/shrubs, it's not noticeable. And I'm sure we had more traffic than normal being a holiday weekend, yet, it didn't impact our stay at all. Great base camp location for all the grear hiking in the paradise valley. Amazing site; we'll be back! 🏕

Explore your wild and adventurous side and make a point to stay here! I am a new sprinter van owner and this was my first Hipcamp stay in it. I am usually a tent camper. The van allowed me to experience something like this, feeling a bit more safe while I was on my own for my journey home with the van. Close to amenities in Chico Hot Springs but remotely tucked away on beautiful private property nearby. Directions were easy and I always had cell service (AT&T).

Beautiful view of the mountains and a great little get away! The stream was wonderful to have access to and just to hear it in the background. Cabin was adorable and with close access to the Chico Hot Springs and their amenities. Definitely staying here again

We have stayed at all three of Josh’s cabins up historic Emigrant Gulch and it’s always been a good time. Nothing but beautiful trees, mountains and silence. The cabins are nice and always have plenty of firewood to keep you warm through the night (we have stayed up there twice now in the winter with temps below 20 degrees). The outdoor range is a plus and the compost toilets are sooo much better than a classic outhouse pit. Always a pleasure to stay in one of these cabins with this Looke’s Mill being the most spacious and family friendly. Josh and fam’s hospitality and quick communication is excellent.

Josh gave great directions and the cabin was so cute and surprisingly well lit! The stream provided very calming white noise, the bed was pretty comfortable (it reminded me of an hammock in a good way) and the outhouse was only a quick walk away. Would definitely stay here again!

On our way to Yellowstone, my partner and I opted to spend a couple of nights on Emigrant Creek in Lundy’s Cabin—and we were so glad we did! This is a beautiful oasis with a creek that runs right behind the cabin and a good number of beautiful hikes nearby. The cabin itself was cozy, with a gas stove to heat the room and some cute Christmas lights for after dark. I’d absolutely come back when I am next in Yellowstone area!

Awesome little cabin with a creek running next to it. It was an awesome place to stay while we hiked and scouted in the area for hunting. Chico hot springs is near by as well.

It’s a perfect little one room cabin with no bathroom no sink no running water just beautiful views of the mountains and the constant sound of a running stream. Bring a little buddy propane space heater bring an LED lantern for the bedside because it does get dark and it does cold !

Oh my goodness… What a little piece of paradise. The cabin was so charming right by the creek… tucked away in the pines!! The views were breathtaking, especially the sunsets. I would recommend a high clearance vehicle as the terrain was somewhat sketchy.… But once you arrive, you will be sad. You didn’t stay longer.!

The location was remote and beautiful. We loved the stream nearby for sleeping and playing. Inside the cabin, the main bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of room for the two cots without feeling crammed. The outhouse was clean and we appreciated the solar powered lights in the evening. Stargazing was incredible!

After several days of tent camping, this cabin was a bit of rustic luxury for us! The rushing stream adds some nice white noise, the outhouse was the cleanest I'd encountered, and the front porch is a lovely place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee before a day of exploring Yellowstone. The scenery is absolutely gorgeous and calming. You may want to make sure you have a sturdy vehicle to get down the rough gravel road, and bring a sleeping pad or inflatable mattress for the rope platform bed. Do not miss the Chico Hot Springs, just down the road, for an awesome dinner, drinks, and a soak. I will absolutely be back!

This little cabin was honestly my favorite part of my trip, and I wish I could've stayed longer :'-) the creek behind the cabin was such a good backdrop for noise while sleeping, it was so peaceful & serene. Also bonus is that there are a few very cute yellow bellied marmots who would be sunbathing on rocks by the creek when I'd wake up to go sit by the creek and sip some tea! The views are incredible, the cabin is so cozy, the wood burning fire was nice for the cooler nights when it stormed, and the outhouse is super well-maintained and clean! This is definitely the place to stay if you want a unique getaway that doesn't break the bank, and is also a reprieve from either tent camping, or a very cool glamping experience. About 10 mins away from Chico Hot Springs, which was a very cool discovery, and about 40 or so minutes from Gardiner, and Yellowstone! Thank you so much Josh for your hospitality :)

Great site! Tucked away into nature but close to amenities at Chico Hot Springs. Awesome little creek next to the site that was fun to play in for our family of four and provided natural white noise for sleeping. Only downside was that the fire pit was perpetually wet so we couldn’t use it. Highly recommend.

Beautiful scenic location with the creek flowing next the the property (can hear it from cabin)
The cabin was very clean, we thought the bed was comfortable and lots of room if you’re gonna stay a while.
Even the outhouse (wood chip potty) was very clean.
Having the propane stove outside was very nice to have. There is a wood stove in the cabin and I look forward to going when the weather is cooler and be warmed by the wood stove

My husband and I and our dog loved staying at Josh’s land. It was very private and peaceful. No one was renting the other two cabins so we didn’t see a single person the whole time. The other cabins are spaced well apart if someone was staying in them. We had been tent camping so the cabin was a nice luxury. We had our camping air mattress with us and put that on top of Josh’s antique rope platform bed and slept great, especially with the rushing creek noise right outside our window. The solar powered lights in the cabin at night were a lovely surprise. In the morning we used Josh’s propane stove to cook an amazing breakfast in our cast iron. We hope to be back soon!!

Josh’s land was amazing! We stayed at Looke’s Mill. It was the perfect spot and my husband and i would recommend it to anyone. The cabin was beautiful, we loved the addition of having a fireplace inside to heat the cabin, the outhouse was clean, plenty of wood was provided - we cannot say enough about this place! We also went to the saloon 5 mins away to soak in the hot springs and grab a few drinks at the bar.
We spent the weekend exploring Yellowstone and grand Tetons so this was awesome. It was a great spot for our Yellowstone days.

We had a great stay in Josh’s cabin! Everything was so beautiful and cozy. The firewood and propane stove were very convenient, and I loved having the noise of the creek right by the cabin. The outhouse was also very clean and well stocked, and the electric lights indoors were a great touch. I’d absolutely recommend Josh’s spot!

Perfect! We woke up to winter wonderland. Great secluded spot nestled on a creek. Definitely pay attention to pinned directions or you’ll get lost. Cute little town Chico springs has hot springs and hotel. Loved it all!!

Spacious 1 room cabin with a comfortable bed, wood stove, kitchen table, and large storage credenza. It’s situated on a small swiftly flowing river which is lovely to hear at night. There’s a little generator and solar lights leading to the outhouse. Outside there’s a gas powered cooking stove, picnic table, sunny porch and water pump. Josh provided all the wood and kindling a guest could need. The view from the porch is gorgeous, and there are provisions up the road.
It’s such a sweet, relaxing setup. I drove up to Yellowstone to do some hikes, but you can also hike right from the door along the river!
I highly recommend Josh’s place, and I hope to stay there again sometime!
