Sunset Mountain is an exclusive reservation only 18+ clothing optional/nudist campground located on my working cattle farm. (Please do not drive up to our gate and try to get in. Please make a reservation in advance.) Although we cater to adults only we follow TNSF and AANR guidelines for social nude recreation. If you are not familiar with TNSF or AANR you can do a quick internet search and see some basic guidelines for social nude recreation. Sunset Mountain does typically operate as a blind service venue meaning we do business online and we and or our maintenance team may not be seen during your stay. We have a good team in place to help your stay be enjoyable please just understand we don’t operate like some of the clubs you may be used to. Sunset Mountain is a nice quiet place to relax and work on your tan. We have RV sites, tent camping areas a bus, container and camper available as lodging options. The campground has a bathroom facility with indoor shower and outdoor showers. We have a hot tub guests can use along with hiking trails and a propane grill. Sunset Mountain is near the Elk River in Noel Missouri and close to Northwest Arkansas where there are mountain biking trails, museums and many other activities. Sunset Mountain is listed on the Monarch Butterfly Waystation registry as well. Come stay on the buff bluff! We are located 1.2 miles away from the Noel city park that has free Elk River access, 4 miles to Mt. Shira free Elk River access near Shady Beach and 5.2 miles to the free Elk River access in Pineville, MO near Shady Beach Pineville.

The Fire Pit Tent Site

Tent area at Sunset Mountain nudist camp. The Fire Pit is any location near the fire pit area. You will enter the campground area and this is the area on your right hand side in the little grove of trees near the fire pit. We do recommend bringing sand bags or something else heavy to tie your tent down with. Our ground is extremely rocky and it is hard to drive tent stakes in. You are renting the area near the community fire pit. You are not renting the fire pit This is a high traffic area and is in our front yard near the sun decks and bathroom facility. Do not expect much privacy in this area. Tent sites do not have electricity but there are plug-ins on the bathroom facility and on our porch. If you would like electricity please rent one of the rv sites and set your tent area up there. Rv site 2 is the best one for tenting. Sunset Mountain is not a swinger club or sex facility. Activity of a sexual nature is not allowed. For more information about the campground please message us. This is the site you will reserve if you are coming to Sunset Mountain nudist camp for the day only. Please drive to the top of the hill and park in the gravel near the wooden fence that way you won't block a potential camper from getting to their site. The gravel area is sunny so you may want to bring sun shades for the window of your vehicle. Day visits are good from 9am to dark. Hipcamp doesn't have an official day visit listing at this time so it will show different hours and you may have to select two nights to make it work. When you come for the day you are welcome to all of the amenities of the campground such as hiking, seasonal cooling pool, volleyball pool on the weekends, outdoor showers, bathroom facility, communtiy fire pit, hot tub etc... When coming for a day visit it is important to remember our hiking trails are not open on weekdays October 15-April15.

Rent this site if you are coming to Sunset Mountain nudist camp for the day only. Hipcamp doesn't have an option for day visits yet but if you rent this we will know your intentions. You may have to enter two dates as an overnight stay to make this work. Hipcamp doesn't have an official day visit listing yet so we do it this way. Day visits are good from 9am to 10pm. Please come in and park in the gravel at the top of the hill near the fence so that you don't park in the way of another camper. When coming in for a day visit remember our hiking trails are not open on weekdays from October 15-April 15 and our volleyball pool is only open on the weekends.

The Redbud Tent Site

Tent area at Sunset Mountain nudist camp. The Redbud Tent Site is on the left side of the driveway as you enter the campground and near our small Redbud tree. This site is at the front end of the campground so other guests will be driving by the area which may create dust, but there should not be much foot traffic near this area. This site is not very private but no one should bother you. We have hay bales stacked next to this campsite and it is also near our shipping container. We do recommend bringing sand bags or something else heavy to tie your tent down with. Our ground is extremely rocky and it is hard to drive in tent stakes. No electricity at site. No shade trees either. There is electricity on the bathroom facility and on our porch but not at tent site. If you want a site with electricity please rent an rv site and put your tent there. Rv site 2 is behind the Jesusbus and Rv site 1 is the next one past Rv site 2 and farthest away from the bathroom facility. Sunset Mountain is not a sex club or swinger campground. Activity of a sexual nature is not allowed. For more information about the campground please message us. Tent area at Sunset Mountain nudist camp. To access this site drive to the top of the hill and turn left. Drive down the gravel path and continue through the open gate past all of the other sites. From April 15-October 15 this site will be open every day of the week. From October 15-April 15 this site will be shared with the cattle so give us plenty of notice to move them. This spot is past the fire area and slightly on the right after you drive through the gate. This site is closer to the outhouse than it is to a flush toilet. You may want to bring your own camp toilet when camping here. We do recommend bringing sand bags or something else heavy to tie your tent down with. Our ground is extremely rocky and it is hard to drive in tent stakes. This site is under shade trees so in the event of a windstorm please do not stay in your tent and be aware of any dead limbs overhead that may fall on your vehicle. Campers are welcome to go inside the end of our shipping container during a storm. This site is also probably the most un level so you may want to make adjustments to fit your style. You can have small campfires in the fire ring when it’s not windy. Sometimes we have firewood available. You can also gather down and dead wood off of the forest floor. Please do not cut any live trees or branches. No electricity at site. There is electricity on the bathroom facility and on our porch but not at tent site. If you want a site with electricity please rent an rv site and put your tent there. Private Overland Trail

This is your private nudist camp. You and or your partner will be the only ones camping here. You can hike in or drive in if you have a good 4x4 vehicle. The trail in is aggressive and you will need ground clearance. You will need to bring your own camp toilet when camping here. You will also need to bring your own trash receptacle. The overland trail is best for vehicle camping or possibly hammock camping but this area does not have many spots where tents will work well. There are lots of trees so in the event of a windstorm it may be best for you to leave the overlanding area so that any dead limbs or trees don’t fall on your vehicle. You are welcome to go inside the end of our shipping container during a storm. The trail is very unlevel. You may need leveling blocks for your vehicle if you want a more comfortable camping position. No electricity at site. There is electricity at our campground but not in this private area. There are no street lights either so it does get extremely dark at night. You will pass a water hydrant on your way to the campsite and you are welcome to fill up containers with water if you need some. There may be firewood left over from another guest or you can bring your own. Also, you are welcome to gather any down or dead wood off of the forest floor to burn in the fire ring. Please do not cut any live trees or branches from live trees. This private overland trail gives you the perfect opportunity to try naturism without the social aspect but you are welcome to all of the amenities at Sunset Mountain while camping here. Just go back through the gate you came in from and come back to the main camp area. There is an indoor shower and a couple of outdoor showers along with hot tub and cooling pool. Sunset Mountain is not an offroad park. We do allow you to drive to and from the private overland area but please don’t drive down our other hiking trails. Sorry for the inconvenience but for safety reasons we ask for a valid photo id from anyone that wants to stay with us. The new extended stay feature allows you to extend your stay at Sunset Mountain butwe may still ask you to vacate the private site so we can prepare for the next guest. Nudist campground. Adults only but we do not allow activity of a sexual nature at our campground. This is the listing for RV Site 2B. This area is good for campervans. For safety reasons we only allow small fires in our fire ring located near the bath house. Please use electric or propane fire pits and grills at individual campsites. Sunset Mountain is also a working cattle farm and guests will be near livestock but should have no interactions with them. This also means that during warm weather there will be flies out. We do take some measures to prevent flies but we limit our use of pesticides so that we lessen our negative impact to the environment. Many guests choose to spend time kayaking on the nearby river or taking a day trip into NWA for mountain biking and other activities. We have created a unique camping experience where guests can be nude and connect with nature but no one will force you to be nude. We keep an updated copy of the rules in the A frame bath house. Our campground is 1.2 miles from the city park in Noel where there is free river access. 4.5 miles from Mt. Shira free river access and 5.5 from Pineville Missouri free access. The Jesus Bus at Sunset Mountain

Glamping cabin at Sunset Mountain nudist camp. The Jesus bus was being used as a church bus before we acquired it, hence the name Jesus bus. It's a great escape from the elements with heating and air conditioning, cold water sink,(we turn the water off between November and April), mini fridge, microwave, table with chairs and a bed with bedding. The bus is located in the heart of Sunset Mountain Adult Only Nudist Campground. When you rent the bus you will have full use of our campground. You will have the bus to yourself and your guest only. Sunset Mountain is not a swinger campground or sex club. Activity of a sexual nature is not allowed. Our campground is 1.2 miles from the city park in Noel where there is free river access. Cabin at Sunset Mountain nudist camp. This glamping cabin is a mixture of luxury and simplicity. Although there is no running water in the container it is just a short walk across the driveway to the bathroom facility. And just a few steps more to a frost free hydrant available for guests to use. When staying in the container you will notice it’s all steel interior. This was intentionally done so that guests can add stickers to the walls to promote places you have stayed at/traveled to or businesses you like. Please don’t leave stickers with profanity or overtly sexual content. Sunset Mountain is not a sex club or swinger campground. Activity of a sexual nature is not allowed in shared spaces. Private Overland Trail

I love car camping in the the overland area at James place. It was far enough from the main part of the campground that I felt like I had privacy when I wanted it and close enough to hike in to hang out and join some of the other guests that were there for the weekend. The sun deck was great for catching some sunshine, the main firepit was awesome for gathering around with new friends and the hot tub was perfect place to relax before hiking out to my site for the bed. I am already trying to figure out a time to get back back out there. I cannot wait to visit Sunset Mountain again.

We were able to roll up just a bit before sunset and it was perfect! This was our first clothing optional Hipcamp and talk about freeing! Not only was that a fun discovery, the property was outstanding. Clean and nice touches everywhere from A-frame wash/shower room, the hot tub, pool, fire pit, BBQ, wash tub for dishes, etc. James and Amy greeted us to make sure we had everything we needed. The pool was made ready for us the next morning for the tiny window of sun we got (thanks James!) you can really see the pride and care for the land and the experience they provide to campers. We didn’t get to meet any other campers this time however this stop will remain at or near the top of our camping experience list for quite some time - highly recommend. We will be back!

The Jesus Bus at Sunset Mountain

We reserved 2 nights in the Jesus Bus and absolutely LOVED our stay! Right when we pulled up, the friendly camp hosts greeted us to make sure we knew what we needed to have a great time. The sunset views over the mountain was gorgeous, and the other folks on the campground were an absolute delight. I especially loved the amenities like power and water inside the bus, and a nice clean flush toilet and shower just outside. The pool was still open and was very refreshing! I can't recommend this place enough. It's soothed my soul and got me ready for another week of work. Check them out! You won't regret it.

My boyfriend and I stumbled across Sunset Mountain and, while we have never even considered a nudist lifestyle, we figured so many positive reviews couldn’t be wrong. We are so glad we gave it a shot! Whether or not you practice a nudist lifestyle yourself (as long as you are open to others around you being in the buff!), you should certainly give this a try! James maintains his property so well and you can tell he loves the land. The facilities were immaculate! From the bathroom and outdoor showers to the pool and hot tub, we were incredibly impressed at how clean everything was. We went into the weekend figuring it would be something fun to say we did once, but by the end of the weekend, agreed we will definitely return! Sunset views were amazing and we took the opportunity to snap some fun pics too 😆 Thanks James for sharing your beautiful property with us!

The Fire Pit Tent Site

This is a wonderful place. They have made significant improvements in enhancements since the first time I visited and it was great then. Now with the pool and the new deck it's amazing. I would highly recommend this stay for anyone who wants to be free of the restrictions of clothing. The campground hosts were really wonderful and welcoming too

The Jesus Bus at Sunset Mountain

This is a beautiful spot with a great view and great vibe. Amenities like the pool are a great addition. Having discovered the proximity of the kayaking we will be back soon. James is a great host.

A Perfect Naturist Escape at Sunset

My husband and I recently enjoyed a truly wonderful stay at Sunset Mountain, and as locals, we can confidently say we've found our new favorite getaway. This private, adult-only naturist campground exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the serene and private atmosphere. Despite being wonderfully secluded and quiet, we also found ample opportunities to socialize with other guests when we felt like it, striking the perfect balance. The amenities were conveniently close to our tent site, making our stay incredibly comfortable and hassle-free. A special shout-out goes to the exceptionally responsive host. Any questions we had were answered quickly and thoroughly, which really enhanced our experience. We're already planning our next trip back and fully intend to become frequent visitors. If you're looking for a peaceful, private, and welcoming naturist retreat, Sunset Mountain is an absolute gem!

If you are looking for a peaceful, freeing escape, this is the place for you. The amenities provided are nice and well cared for. There was only a small handful of guests during our stay, so nothing is crowded. The campsites are a bit close together, but since we came late on a Saturday and stayed until Monday, it was fine for us. James is a very nice guy and communicates well. We enjoyed the location, scenery and privacy.

The Jesus Bus at Sunset Mountain

First time experiencing a working nudist farm. I wasn’t sure what I was getting into but James and his wife were awesome hosts and I felt immediately at ease. The property is beautiful with scenic views and the Jesus Bus was clean and spacious. You can’t beat dipping in the pool after a hike or relaxing in the hot tub or smaller dipping pool. Highly recommend for a quiet and relaxing getaway while reconnecting with nature in the nude! It was so cathartic and liberating.

This was a terrific weekend. First experience for us and it was absolutely wonderful. The hosts were very kind and helpful. The campground is beautiful, immaculately clean, quiet and serene. We absolutely felt welcome and safe. We will definitely be back to enjoy more!
