This little gem in the woods is the coziest "primitive glamping" I've ever seen! The spot is so peaceful with a breeze rustling through the woods. The amenities were just right and the extra little touches were wonderful! To a regular backpacker, this place was a glamping treat! Thank you!

This was my 2nd time visiting Blair’s site and a first time for my son and his gf. It was just as perfect as my first visit! I love that they have nearly everything you need already on site so you can throw together a quick camping trip very quickly. We basically just packed our bedding, food and personal items. We also brought our dog this time and she loved being able to be off leash and explore the trails with us a bit. I highly recommend this little getaway!

Oh my good gracious! I am a single mom of a 10-year-old boy and I Have been super scared to take him on a wilderness Camping trip all on my own.
Needless to say, this was the most amazing mothering experience I've had outside of breast-feeding him, lol. He enjoyed most Every moment, Except when he had a mid camping boredom. But what did we do? We went on a hike in on the trails and found the most perfect leaves and acorns and fossils. I knew I would need to bring air dry clay and therefore I brought Two large buckets of it. We made impressions which we now brought home and our painting:-) But also, after that, as we were looking at rocks to put around the trees, we found fossils and within those fossils, we found Geodes! Let me just tell you this it was a full three hour adventure to slowly chip away rocks from the amazing fossils and geodes that we found. It was one of the most truly awesome experiences we've had together.
Now, if you are a lady Here's the next best part. I was 20 days late and ended up starting the day we came to camp. Ughhhh I know. I didn't let it stop me because I know that Blair would never let that be a stopping point. Let me just tell you I've been to many of outhouses. This is a glamping version of an outside potty house. It smelled so amazing like Cedarwood chips. My son was super comfortable because he has never been in an outhouse. I myself had all the resources I needed having been truly pretty much unprepared. And on top of that it was 🔥!

We had so much fun! Anything that we forgot they had thought of and had ready for us. Such as cooking utensils, dishes to eat off of, pots and pans etc. The outhouse was super clean and so was the tent. Absolutely bug free in the tent! Highly recommend camping here!! Also we loved reading the guest book. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️

My partner and I loved camping here. The tent was so spacious and clean. The host had provided everything you needed to have a stress free adventure. I ended up regretting that we had not booked a longer stay!

We absolutely LOVED our stay here! The campsite had everything we needed including cooking gear and a camp stove. The tent was cozy and the campsite was beautiful. We will definitely be coming back here in the future!

This place is amazing. It is so cozy feeling and comfortable. It was my first mommy and son solo trip and it was amazing! My son is 3 and he loved walking along the trails they built and the camp ground is so amazing

A slice of heaven! Gorgeous site that feels very private. I went with my two elementary school age kiddos and it was so nice to have dishes, water, beds and tents already set up and ready. We loved it!

I completely enjoyed my stay at Camp Fernweh! It provided to absolutely luxuries: a bed and a composting toilet. For an aging camper, it was absolutely perfect. I got the opportunity to cook over the campfire, but rest comfortably in a bed (For which my body gloried in). I usually hate hate camping when there’s any rain. But the big bell tent was dry and cozy. I was able to relax while listening to raindrops pattering on the tent. It was a beautiful spot, and my hosts were accommodating and respectful of my privacy.

Place was cozy and quaint and absolutely adorable. Outside of getting unfortunately sick I had an absolutely wonderful stay. I would highly recommend this place especially during Spring or fall!!

Beautiful spot, cozy tent that kept us dry in a big pop up storm, nice walking trails! Great for a family of 6 with two toddlers! Highly recommend.

Easy to access and find, site was exactly as advertised/photographed, amenities like the platform bed, cot, and electric lighting made logistics much easier than a typical camping stay. Above all, my dog loved exploring off-leash!

It was a great night with friends off in the quiet of the woods. We opted for the kiln dried wood as an option and it made getting a fire started very easy. I would definetly recommend this.

The tent was surprisingly spacious and the queen bed was comfortable! Having the composting outhouse was such a nice luxury, plus the provided cooking supplies were a lifesaver. Perfect location and a great campsite!

I’ve done a lot of camping with friends but wanted to start doing more solo trips. This was perfectly stocked with all the essentials which took any stress away from worrying if I had packed everything I needed. The site and compost toilet were both clean and easy to locate. Close to civilization but far enough away to feel like it’s your own little world 😊 I’ll be back and will definitely recommend it to friends!

I’m a mom of two about to turn 35. I wanted a micro-getaway for my birthday. A night if sleeping in a space by myself. A place to cook my girl dinner without littles telling me they want fruit snacks instead. A quiet zone to read my novel cover to cover. And yet, a spot close enough to home that when I inevitably started missing my kids after being away from them for five minutes, I knew it wouldn’t be long before I saw them again. Like, less than 24 hours long. Just enough time to savor the solitude.
CAMP MOONSHADOW fulfilled my wildest dreams. A short drive from Springfield, MO and a short walk up a wooded hill—just enough of a hike to make you feel like you aren’t camping in your own backyard—and there you are. You’ll find a dome tent you can stand up in, layered with cozy rugs and a mattress waiting for your sleeping bag, plus cut firewood and all the camp cook out supplies you need besides the actual food.
Without have to haul all my camping supplies and pitch my own tent, I was able to just sit back and enjoy my time away. Fried egg sandwiches cooked over the fire, card games with my sis who tagged along, stargazing, reading a spooky book chosen specifically to be read in the woods—yes please.
Blair has created such a wonderful space at Camp Fernweh. I cannot wait to come back!

Our second time staying at Camp Fernweh. It’s so great to have everything we need provided. The new outhouse-composting toilet is wonderful, clean and well lit with the lantern. We look forward to many stays here.

This place was AWESOME. What really stood out was the amount of amenities that are already packed up and provided: tent, air mattress, camp stove, dishes, utensils, firewood, matches, hatchet, potable water...it's all there already! Just pack your clothes and a cooler, and everything else is taken care of. What's more, the property is beautiful, especially at night with a big moon, and the whole experience was incredibly relaxing. I'd recommend this site to anybody looking for a good tent "glamping" experience.

I loved camping on Blair’s land. The site was well maintained and the tent was spacious and clean. A pretty strong storm passed through, and we stayed dry and cozy. 10/10 would stay again!

I loved this place! It had everything I needed and the tent was clean and no bugs! The fire pit had wood ready to use and cute logs to sit on. The surrounding woods were quiet and the crickets were out.

Imagine walking up to your campsite and having everything you need. That’s what Camp Moonshine/Camp Fernweh417 has to offer.
The tent was spacious and the air mattress was a huge bonus!
We loved feeling secluded even though it was close enough to town.
The hosts were prompt with answering questions and the clean up instructions were clear and easy to follow.
As a single mom with her kid, this was the best way to camp while feeling less overwhelmed since so much is provided as well as being very comfortable and safe in the space.
We will certainly be out again!

I loved tent camping at Camp Fernweh. The directions were clear and easy to follow. The site is well taken care of and had most of what you'll need. You can't really see the house or anything while you're up there, so definitely felt a bit more secluded that it actually was.
