The Oaks Campground is a 155-acre family campground in Munith, Michigan, right next to the Waterloo Recreation Area and a short drive from Jackson, Ann Arbor and Chelsea. It's a nature-first park with about 120 acres of wooded trails under old-growth oaks, and it borders the Haehnle Sanctuary, where thousands of sandhill cranes gather each fall. Deer, turkeys, eagles and herons are regular sightings. The spring-fed swim lake has a new sand beach and an Aquaglide floating water park, plus a Kangaroo Jumper for the kids. A separate fishing lake with a dock is an easy first fishing trip for kids. Choose from RV sites with water and electric, including big-rig-friendly and waterfront sites, plus electric and primitive tent sites. Our RV sites are all at least 55 feet long, and most are much longer. The park has bath houses, laundry and a camp store with firewood, ice and hand-scooped ice cream. Dogs are welcome, with a dog run and back trails to explore. Holiday weekends, Christmas in July and a fall Halloween weekend fill the event calendar. Quiet hours are 11 PM to 8 AM. Open May 1 to October 20.

The Oaks is a 155-acre campground next to the Waterloo Recreation Area, with about 120 acres of wooded trails, a spring-fed swim lake with a sand beach and Aquaglide water park, a Kangaroo Jumper, and a fishing lake with a dock. Dogs are welcome.

It was a clean campgrounds nice and quiet too. The staff was very helpful and friendly a nice relaxing today
