Located on private land with miles of ancient ice age escarpment cliffs and ledges. Only one mile from historic Fayette State Park ghost town and Sherrys Port family bar and restaurant .This beautiful, private tent site , located on our private property on the beautiful Garden Peninsula down a tree canopied dirt road that leads to your site. It is flat grassy space with a 16 ft leveled sandy area for your tent. Included is a picnic table with canopy cover, fire pit, firewood. Just a short 5 minute walk down a beautiful trail through the woods to Lake Michigan ,it is perfect for swimming, rock collecting, hiking and fishing. Repeat customers come back every year to hunt morels ! Guests will enjoy their space to themselves, but please note there may be another group visible further down the road. . Guests will have access to your own private fire pit. There is plenty of wood so no need to bring your own. There are also kayaks at the lake that you are free to use at no cost, we just ask that you do wear a life jacket and please be smart when going out and how far out you go since there is no life guard and we are on Lake Michigan. We have two bays right next to us that are protected and usually very calm to paddle. There are no hookups at this site, this is a one of a kind truly beautiful natural space to really reconnect with nature! We are only 2 miles from the historic Fayette Ghost town state park and 3 miles from Sherrys Port Bar and grill.

This beautiful, private tent site , located on our private property on the beautiful Garden Peninsula down a tree canopied dirt road that leads to your site. It is flat grassy space with a 16 ft leveled sandy area for your tent. Included is a picnic table with canopy cover, fire pit, firewood. Just a short 5 minute walk down a beautiful trail through the woods to Lake Michigan ,it is perfect for swimming, rock collecting, hiking and fishing. Repeat customers come back every year to hunt morels ! Guests will enjoy their space to themselves, but please note there may be another group visible further down the road. . Great spot! First time hip-camper, but overall great experience. Peaceful little spot, great secluded part of the lake- fantastic sunset watching. Close enough to nearby Manistique, Hiawatha National forest. Host was so sweet and friendly- she even left us some welcome goodies.

Lake Michigan Tent Camp Hideaway

This place is a beautiful, natural escape from life. Surrounded by trees and wildlife, a VERY, VERY short walk down a cute path, exploring nature to the beach of beautiful Lake Michigan. With the most gorgeous sunsets, one will see the sun sparkle over the lake. This was my second time camping at Frannie's lovely campsite. At camp, you will find a picnic table, a grill, a few long strings of the most adorable lights, and a fire ring with all the cut wood you could ever burn. Just a mile down the road is a State campground for showering and water. Frannie is so kind, helpful, and welcoming, giving you your privacy or will chat it up if you choose. I love it here and my girl Stella (dog) can run freely off lead and swim without any concern of others near. If you seek the true beauty of the U, P, look no further; this place will not disappoint. Frannie, thanks for another time of making memories!

It was a lovely site with a nice bathroom and covered picnic table and soft tent site. The lake was farther away than expected and next site closer than expected. But actually way better than camp grounds!!!!

dark, quiet, in the woods, yet i’ve never felt so welcome! access to the lake was a big hit for the doggo and kiddo, and historic fayette being so close was also an unexpected bonus.

We enjoyed our stay at camp. Frannie was super kind, checked in on us while giving us space and privacy. Tons of wildlife, beautiful woods for hiking, lake was great to dip into. Definitely would recommend!
