Relaxing at Deer Path

Deer Path was a perfect get away for us. I was a little nervous about having neighbor's so close, but there was no need. The set up of the site and full hook ups felt very private. We loved sitting by the river and watching a Blue Heron fishing in the river as well as watching a herd of a dozen deer cross the river 100 feet from us. Megan stopped by to confirm that everything was perfect for our stay and it was. I highly reccommend this location with no reservations!

Peaceful and Perfect

This place was amazing. The campsite was huge and very private. The amenities were clean and ready to use. The lights going down to the river was a nice touch. Would recommend 10 0ur 0f 10.

Peace kindness & beautiful memories

My husband and I absolutely love Deer Path Lane! We’ve already been four times this year and are planning another trip in October — hopefully with some beautiful fall colors. Megan, Adam, the kids, Jane, and Pops are all so kind, welcoming, and helpful. They always make us feel right at home. We’re already looking forward to spending as much time as possible on the river in 2026 and hopefully making lots of wonderful memories along the way. This has truly become one of our favorite places to relax and recharge...

Amazing & private place to stay

This property is amazing; private, great/easy full hook-up, clean, lots of space, 2 fire pits, and the area down by the river is so beautiful and peaceful! The river was clear and cold, and hardly any bugs. The sunrises over the cornfield across the street made the spot even more beautiful. Town was pretty close to grab supplies and pizza. We would absolutely come back again!

Amazing site for riverside camping

Had the best weekend getaway. There’s a large flat space at the top near the road with a picnic table and fire ring near the very clean porta-Jon. There is a steep hill on the path down to the tent site, but it’s worth hauling your stuff down and back up. The tent site is incredible, right on the river, plenty of privacy, lots of flat shady areas to put your tent. The river was quite low this weekend and slow moving, which matched our pace perfectly. The campers at the next site were a bit rowdy and we could hear their music and loud vehicles, but they quieted down not long after 10pm, and we couldn’t actually see them from where we were. Still much better than a campground in my opinion.

I camped with a friend and our kids, and this spot was absolutely perfect. Quiet and peaceful right on the river, with plenty to keep the kids entertained. They loved fishing and swimming in the little “rapids” right off our site. Our host was incredibly responsive and helpful, even assisting us with kayaks and float options. We floated from our site down to the swimming hole two days in a row—another hidden gem! The kids had a blast on the rope swing there. We stayed three nights but wished we had booked longer. The kids were already asking to come back next year on our very first night. And the twinkle lights along the path and by the river were such a charming touch. We’ll definitely be back!

Our camp site was right on the Chippewa River. Beautiful view, quiet, and very relaxing. Full hookup was great. Even though there are homes near by, we did not notice.

If you’re looking for a peaceful relaxing time by the water, this is the spot. Camp host was very nice and we really enjoyed our stay. We are hoping to go back next year but would like to see what it’s like in the fall.

I was so impressed with Whispering Waters site. Easy to find and easy access! Such a beautiful serene area to enjoy a few days of peace and quiet. There is no trash and no where in this area can you dump trash if you tent. It is a a beautiful place and I enter is nice . They need to fix this trash issue for campers. SC

Highlight of summer! 🌞

Wow. Megan's place was so much better than we expected. We went camping here with my two sons and their friends for the weekend. While there are two spots to set up camp, we chose the spot on the water. It was absolutely amazing. The view was breathtaking. The spot easily fit all of our tents so we could wake up to hearing the water flow. We rented extra kayaks and went out for hours. This was a complete hit with the kids! There are mini rapids if you go downstream! Phone service was sketchy, which was exactly what we were looking forward to! Campfires at night and coffee over the fire in the morning was perfect. The boys did catch some fish. The water was shallow enough where we were at and perfect for the littles to swim in! We heard beavers, frogs, and coyotes at night! From the words of all the boys "it was the most exciting trip of the summer!" Megan and her husband were phenomenal and even provided us with the extra kayaks we needed on short notice! They gave us tips of where to stop at while kayaking, and were so sweet in person. Thank you very much for allowing campers like us to enjoy your beautiful piece of property! Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind for a few days!

First off the property Is beautiful and Adam is very nice and welcoming. The other houses are closer than expected and the house on the hill belongs to his mother and step father. We rented the kayaks and Adam was kind enough to allow us to use a short cut they have created to transport the kayaks back and forth. The cell reception at the camper was good, but other areas we received no reception. Adam did send us a map which we did not see. There are more than one road they have created and my husband and I took the road we thought was correct and found out very quickly that is was not. His step dad confronted us in a not so friendly manner. He made sure we knew he did not want us there and that we had better be very careful where we go because there is a hunter on the property that doesn't like people being there either. We felt threatened and decided to leave a day early because of it. We told Adam about it and he did apologize for the behavior. I would not recommend that site because I don't think the parents want you there. Maybe the more private site would be okay. I hate to say anything negative, but feel responsible to warn others

Great spot! Camper is close to the gravel road but still pretty quiet. The river is just a short walk from the camper and has a kayak ramp. We will definitely go back again.

This was our second trip to Whispering Waters and it was just as great as the first time we stayed. We had another couple join us with their pop up camper and there was plenty room for both campers without feeling too close together. A few words of advice for future campers, the deer flies are horrible in the summer. We found some great bug zappers at the Dollar General in town to help ward off the flies. We cannot wait to visit again. Also, if you don't feel like cooking, there are a few great pizza places in town. Great prices!

We absolutely love this camp spot even though houses are pretty close. It's very peaceful and full of nature. We are so happy when we are here. Adam, Megan and family are amazing people this is our second stay here and we were able to extend it over the weekend and we'll be back again for a third time in August

A great place relax & unplug

This was our second time at Sherman city Acers, we love this area and the host are more than accommodating we just had to try put another onw of their sites. Riverside retreat is absolutely perfect!! We have had so many people ask us where we camped becuase it looks like the perfect place to unplugg and it is! We are already planning our next trip with family & friends that want to check it out.

Peaceful Riverside Camping

We absolutely loved the peaceful seclusion! The views are amazing, and you can enjoy them from your fire! There's nothing better than relaxing around the fire, listening to the river and gazing at the millions of stars that are visible from this secluded riverside campsite. Megan was wonderful and accommodating. Our pre-ordered firewood was waiting for us when we arrived. I would definitely recommend this spot(as long as it doesn't interfere with my future visits🤭) We've already made our reservations for next month to bring the kids

A Hidden Gem in the Woods

I recently stayed at this private campsite, and it completely exceeded my expectations. Tucked away from the noise and crowds, this spot offered the kind of quiet that’s hard to find these days. The site was clean, well-maintained, and had just the right balance of rustic charm and comfort. We had a fire pit, picnic tables, water, electricity and even access to a clean toilet. The host was welcoming and respectful of our privacy, which made the stay even better.
