First, I’ll say make sure your vehicle can handle a little bit of backroad driving, but once you get there, the campsite is lovely.
Secluded, relaxing, with easy access to a facility and a great firepit. The owner was incredibly kind and helpful as he got us set up at our site. Not much I can say besides it was a lovely time all around! Thank you for lending us your land for a night!

Beautiful piece of property. It feels like being up north. Great for a cold weather tent camp! A warning to anyone else staying here, the road noise and sirens are very loud but if that doesn’t bother you then this is a great place to stay.

This little patch of heaven is just what anyone needs. Tucked away between two busy towns you feel like you're actually up north. Secluded campsites with all your basic needs (fire pit, chairs, potable water) fire wood bundled for a small fee and a privacy house that includes lanterns and toiletries. The hosts are wonderful people. I had a great conversation with Cori. They have excellent communication as Micheal answered all my questions and provided a map of the area I'd be setting up at. The property has many little trails to venture around during the day. The sites were clean and well kept. A little early morning traffic sounds are unavoidable even a mile away from the main roads but pop in your ear plugs and "poof" your back up north amongst the forest for the a relaxing morning. At night, I was serenaded by a local owl and that was magical. Quiet, secluded and for anyone wanting a quick getaway from the metro area this is the place to visit. Quiet seclusion and yet a 5 minute drive to two different small towns for food or drink. You pair these amenities with the graciousness of the hosts plus the low rental cost and you'll be hooked on becoming a regular here. Thank you, Michael and Cori for offering us all to your property. I can't wait to book here again!

Great property close to hiking and downtown Lake Orion. The two track back to the furthest camp site adds to the sense of seclusion. We will be staying again.

I really enjoyed our stay here, it was the perfect place to try out our new truck bed tent. There was so much wood to collect from the forest to have a fire and enjoy the outdoors, I really got to enjoy the wild life. The outhouse is very cute. Michael was a very nice host and very informative and has great communication. If you’re looking to get away from the “city” with access to everything you need this is just that place for you.

This little hidden gem is perfect for those in southeast Michigan who want that up north feeling—without the long drive or the bears. The site I stayed at was incredibly spacious, and well laid out.
The amenities were thoughtful, with a fire extinguisher right at the pit making it the safest setup I’ve used. The trails were a nice bonus, good for a relaxed walk through the trees. Firewood was plentiful and good quality.
Because it’s not rural, you do occasionally hear traffic in the distance, but it fades into the background. At night, what stands out are the crickets and forest sounds.
Overall, it’s spacious, safe, well-stocked, and tucked away in the trees. I'm already planning my return trip!

Look no further……STAY HERE! Place was awesome and so was the host. Property is beautiful with lots of diff trees. Short drive to beaches if you’re looking to take a dip. Stores close by if you need anything. Little town looked cool too. We’ll be back to further explore. Thank you Michael!

Michael's place is lovely and well-maintained, and makes camping within an easy drive of the city totally achievable. I enjoyed falling asleep to the sounds of spring peepers and marsh birds. The nature area is not massive and there is some road noise so you won't feel like you're deep in the woods away from civilization, but that is a reasonable price to pay for convenience! I was unfortunately eaten alive by mosquitoes (mostly biting through socks/leggings), so make sure to reapply bug spray religiously and wear long/loose clothing if possible.

This is an awesome spot. Each tent site is tucked in its own corner of the woods and is private and cozy. Bathroom was clean and stocked. Lots of good places nearby for food too. Michael was very helpful and a wonderful host.

We were so happy to be accepted on such a short same day notice! MICHAEL was awesome, great communication and care! We loved our stay under the stars, listening to all the birds and the frog concert was awesome. We had a great fire with all the wood that was in the forest. We enjoyed our stay and loved the quiet and serenity of the property. The outhouse was just extra cute, so cozy and thoughtful! Thank you for having us even with an oversized Sprinter !!!

Tent camping here was like a dream. Felt like up north but close by. Beautiful land, secluded, quiet and peaceful. Had a great time relaxing around the fire, walking the trails, just enjoying nature. The dogs loved it too. Outhouse was very cute and clean. Definitely hope to come back!

Michael’s land is awesome! It is in a fantastic location! Close to metro Detroit, but it feels like you are far into the woods. He thought of everything - trash can, fire cover and extinguisher if needed. Plenty of space! The area is quiet and a perfect spot to watch the sunset.

Great campsite with friendly staff, we were lucky to be the only ones booked so we had the whole place to ourselves . Clean outhouse, and beautiful trees.
Highly recommend for a quick getaway! Would be nice to ride your bikes along the path

This place is gorgeous, very well equipped (more than I expected), and Mike, the host, is super friendly and helpful. My tent campsite had a fire pit with chairs, firewood, a trashcan, and other supplies. The outhouse next to my site was fully stocked. The roads and paths through the property are very hilly and narrow, but my small FWD crossover did fine. Lots of places to hike around and explore. Plenty of tree cover, so there's a lot more shade than sun. There is traffic noise and the golf course can be seen from the property, but it was not disruptive in any way. Overall, a fabulous place to camp! Unfortunately, I had to cut my stay short because the weather was too cold for me. Live and learn. Would love to go back!

We absolutely enjoyed Mike's property. It was so peaceful and beautiful but not far from city amenities. Mike was very gracious and his wife even provided us with some natural flea and tick spray for our pups. We would highly recommend this hipcamp and hope to be back again in the future.

Bear with me, I’m not good at review and not a fan of leaving a review but here, Michael’s camp spot is PERFECT. If you need a break, within close distance and quiet rustic cozy campsite, This is it.
We stayed at tent site 2, it is the best if you need small camping spot with slightly tucked in ground base. Perfect for backpackers, little bit of wall surrounding site is blocking good wind(not high wall, one or two feet), such a nice view. Surprised with they managed outhouse so perfect.
If you’re group with multiple tents, bit spacious tent site located up hill will be perfect. Thanks to Michael, we had chance to look around trails, all campsites have gorgeous views and nicely maintained.
100% recommendation. Can’t describe everything, I would like to visit again soon. Best campsite I ever visited.
