Ted is an incredibly wonderful person. Everything about his place is wonderful and his hospitality goes above and beyond expectation. I will definitely be back and will encourage others to visit as well. You don't meet very many people like this guy, and when you do, not only do you find a great place to camp but you also find a friend as well.

Great spot to camp while on a long motorcycle tour. Ted was prompt with his communication. His site has everything you need. Power for charging your phone, an outdoor shower, a table with a couple chairs next to a fire ring and a clean porta-potty. If you don’t feel like cooking ride into Boyne City and go to Santé. The food was excellent.

Peaceful and quiet, shower, dry firewood. Felt like family after spending 4 nites. Ted and Rox were Very cordial and good company for a solo camper. Bootsie the cat was a nice surprise too, she Will sit and keep you company. Occasional zoomies for laughs. I will be back again!! 5/5

We enjoyed our time at Ted’s motorcycle campground. Great spot in a shaded area. He has everything you need. We didn’t have to unpack our travel chairs or table. Campsite had table, chairs and a fire ring. Ted is a true rider, great conversations with him and another couple staying at the campground. I recommend this option if you are in the area.

The campsite was perfect for us. There was everything we needed, shower, port-a-john, water, firewood, etc. The location is excellent and the host is friendly and accommodating. We look forward to visiting again.

Ted's property was great for motorcycle camping. Laid back and no nonsense made it easy to feel at home. I enjoyed my weekend riding and enjoying northern Michigan. I spent time in mackinaw city and even some time lounging around in my hammock. Ted's place is perfect if you need a spot to pitch a tent for the night with a few extras tossed in.

My friend and I loved staying at Ted Zs motorcycle campground behind his house and sheds. It was very quiet at night and little light pollution so the stars were great to see. Host was fun to meet and has tried to provide everything you can need. No RVs or kid noises.

Ted was super easy to work with and communicated everything well. I was super impressed before I even got there. When I showed up he quickly showed us around and was over and beyond as a host. I loved the camp site, while we were just there as passersby to get to our destination the next morning I didn’t the amenities that he had to offer, but the eyeball rest of everything was fantastic. Well thought out and well kept camp sites. I will definitely be staying there again for my motorcycle camping trips to the U.P. The area is really nice as well. I’d recommend over and over.

Ted's land and amenities are top flight. Better than expected. Ted is a great person and I am lucky to have crossed paths with him. Can't wait to return and slay some more smallmouth and motorcycle the beautiful countryside.

Great spot and Good People

Pretty incredible little spot. Just a couple of sites so you won’t be crowded. Hot shower and good clean water. The sites are well maintained and so is the Porta Potty. Plenty of wood. Sites are really well sheltered by trees but you can still see the stars. Will definitely stay here again!

Very cool stay at Ted's, I loved his self built trike and hearing the stories of his time on the road. He let me park my bike in his heated garage to dry out an electrical short and made me feel like I was staying with one of our own

Motorcycle Camping Heaven

Perfect motorcycle camp spot! Quiet camp site out of town away from the noisy state parks. Running well water, outdoor shower, an outlet to charge your stuff, the cleanest port-a-potty I’ve ever seen, all the wood you can burn and a beautiful ride in and out of camp. Short ride to Tunnel of Trees, Shorts Brewery, Torch lake, and everything else in that corner of the mitten. Incredibly friendly host and has all the tools you could ever need if you have to do some tuning. I will definitely book again the next time I ride up!

Highlight of the weekend!

For me it was the first time camping off my motorcycle and I couldn’t have been happier with Ted and Rox hospitality it made the whole trip. There were for of us on motorcycles and one had got a flat tire in town. The shops weren’t able to get to it in time so he graciously allowed us to do it in his camp. The camp was perfect and the Tunnel of trees was awesome. If I get a chance I will make this camp a stop every year. We had a fantastic time swapping stories by the fire with Ted and were jealous of the places he has seen and the things he’s done. If you are able to stop in I would highly recommend stopping at Teds camp. Thank you Ted and Rox we had the best weekend even with the flat tire thanks to you both!

If you’re traveling on 2 wheels (or three 😊) anywhere near Ted’s, you want to stay at his campsite! Ted is one very friendly, and very interesting fellow, who loves to swap stories about riding ( but will leave you to your own devices if that’s what you prefer). He has gone to great lengths to make his sites accommodating for motorcyclists, and it’s worked! The shower and super clean porta-potty were most appreciated, as were the cell phone charger, potable water, campsite light, fire pit with wood, etc etc. But for me, the real pleasure was chatting it up with Ted. All in all it was a most pleasant experience. I highly recommend Ted’s site, and will definitely stay again when I’m back in the area.

Stayed at Ted's land for a quick solo overnight trip and it was perfect! Ted was very hospitable and had everything I needed. He provided the firewood for the firepit which also included a grilling grate which was a huge plus for me. Cooked a big ole Porterhouse on it and it was perfect! There was a clean porta jon, water, a phone charging station, and even an outdoor solar heated shower. I would definitely stay here again.

My son and I stayed at Ted's Camp. It was one of our highlights on a 9 day Michigan and Wisconsin ride. Ted has been riding for years and understands the needs of bikers as he has put extra thought, effort and hospitality into his Motorcycle Tent Camp. A bikers home away from home

Talk about an incredible spot to stay with an equally amazing host. The stories Ted could tell could have kept me up all night by the campfire listening. A tried and true "scooter" riding, two wheel one love embracing type of person. The shower was nice and enough pressure to leave me feeling clean without leaving the hard water "film" feeling. The site was plenty big enough for my camp and harley even if I put up a hammock. No ticks to be seen which by itself was a major win. I 1000% WILL BE BACK, WITH FRIENDS
