Million $ Sunset Camp

The sites were well marked however I couldn’t find site 3s marking. The grounds were well maintained, paths easy to find to get to our site, porta-potty was clean and had plenty of toilet paper. The camp was close to a gas station/convenient store, Legs Inn Restaurant, a few shops, and direct access to the beach. Site 3 was cleared but provided good tree coverage to give it some privacy and shade. The area was clean and well maintained. There was a picnic table and a fire ring available. The site was smaller than I expected but was plenty of room for us to be comfortable. The view from the site was beautiful and one of the main reasons we booked it. You get a beautiful view of the lake and get lulled to sleep by the sound of crashing waves. The beach is also a great mix of rocks and sand for those rockhounds.

No host communication

We tried to contact hosts 1 week prior to arrival, one day prior to arrival and arrival day. No communication. We needed to cancel or adjust our dates as our camper was out of commission. It does look like a nice area for rustic camping, we drove by in our car but no one around to talk to. Site 8 would not be a site I would pick. Porta potty is your primary view there. We were

Beautiful land!! We loved every second of our camping experience, we stayed at site 8. It was a short walk to the beach it wasn’t bad at all! Super quiet and calm. We felt very safe. Would definitely camp here again!

A hidden gem, surrounded by big trees, let the waves lull you too sleep. Swim all day, launch your boat, and then go watch the sunset from the garden at Leggs Inn.

Very well kept pull in site. The grounds were clean and mowed. The porta potty was clean, and well stocked with toilet paper. The walk to the beach is short, very nice place to swim and take in the sunset. We have put this on our favorites list.

Beautiful location with easy access to the beach. Sites were easy to find and private. There was some noise from the other sites. Parking spots are a short walk from the sites, so well-organized gear is recommended.

The campsite was perfect for what we needed, and the beach and lagoon access were beautiful. Toilet was clean. Maybe not as private as we would’ve liked but the town is quaint and our camp neighbors were all very kind and respectful. Waking up and taking a dip was the best part of our stay.

Unresponsive Owner and Wasp Nest

Cute campsite, but very close to the public access and had to walk through a marsh/swamp to use to private entrance. Lots of mosquitoes, but wasn’t entirely surprised by that. Dogs are supposed to be leashed but had to constantly be on guard (I have a reactive dog) and the rule was not being upheld. Had to leave two days early because the private entrance had a VERY aggressive bee/wasp nest under the boardwalk that ended up attacking me, my partner, and my dog. We all ended up with multiple stings, including on our faces, and couldn’t get to the beach safely anymore. Informed owner and he agreed to refund the last two days over the phone but has not responded to any messages and have not received the refund. Felt very bummed about what was supposed to be a very relaxing trip that turned into an anxiety-inducing experience.

Once we figured out where our site was, we loved it! Such a quiet and private place to camp. The short walk to the beach was so lovely and we found so many interesting rocks. I could have sat at the shoreline for hours!! The port-a-potty was clean and we were grateful for the free firewood at the camp.

Great tent sites are close to the water. Close enough together if you’re camping as a group but also private. Porta-poty could have used a cleaning, but zero complaints outside of that. All in all a great place to camp, would recommend!

What a great location! This is a simple primitive camp ground. The sites are well maintained as is the water and port-a-potty. Each site had a nice poly picnic table and there is a dumpster for any trash. We would be happy to stay here again.

This campground is perfect for me with my small travel trailer. It's a short walk from a. beautiful beach, a short walk to town. Very quiet! And the stars over Lake Michigan are breathtaking.
