Nice spot! Well kept and clean. A little tricky getting our ‘29 ft airstream in, but we did it!
Location is close to a great brewery and very a short drive to Mackinac Island ferry parking.
We enjoyed our tent camping experience at this convenient private campsite. It was clean and well kept. We really appreciated level grassy area to place our tents. Having the use of electricity was very helpful for charging our devices and an ebike. The mosquitoes were definitely wicked, as others have reported. The campfire circle was great. It was an easy bike ride into town, the brewerys, a convenience store and the ferry to the island. We would stay here again. Our host, Todd, was a good communicator.

Beautiful little hideaway minutes away from the city. Had no issues finding the site thanks to the host placing a sign by the road. Bathroom was fresh, didn’t wreak in the middle of summer.
Will be staying here again!

This is a beautiful quiet spot just off the road that goes straight to the fort and light house! There IS a yard light! You may have to turn the switch on. We didn't realize it so I'm letting you know! It's very dark.

Easy spot to get in an out of, quiet. Had a great nights sleep
This site was perfect for a private space close to the bridge. The porta potty was clean, fire pit was convenient, and the table and chairs were clean ready to use… we will be happy to stay there again.

Great piece of property, was private, clean, and functional plus responsive host, definitely would return.
My husband and I enjoyed camping on this private lot with our 22' RV. It is set back from the highway a bit and has a gate that we closed at night and when we left the camp. It has plenty of space, with some gravel, some wood chips, and some grassy areas. Plenty of furniture, sitting areas, a table, and firepit. The outhouse was in a corner away from the main area and useful. There is a barn with firewood for sale on one side and a home on the other, but there are wooded areas in between both giving plenty of privacy. Electrical was great and we were level as soon as we pulled in. We used bikes to go back and forth to Mackinaw City. It is straight down the 2-lane highway a couple miles, so we cut west on a side street that passes the KOA and then intersects with the Petoskey-Mackinaw bike trail, which we then followed into town (it was a little farther, but we were pulling a dog trailer and felt safer on the less-busy side road). We also found a sandy hiking trail past the Flamingo Motel and took our dog for a 4 mile hike (again, it connects over to the bike trail). The Citgo just up the street has a dump and water station, and there is a small market across the street there as well, for small grocery items. It was perfect for us and our dog. Definitely don't forget the bug spray!

What a great spot to use as a base camp to explore the area. Easy to get to and a nice a level site. If you have a bigger rig, you might want to back in off the road as it’s a little tight to turn around but very manageable. It has 30 amp power what more could you ask for! Todd was very responsive and easy to work with
This was a nice private, campsite with no other campers around. It was right off the main road so we thought it would be more noisy but the road noise didn't bother us at all.
We’ve stayed at this campsite a half dozen times, and it keeps bringing us back. As avid campers, we’ve experienced a lot of campgrounds, but this one has become one of our absolute favorites. We love the peaceful setting—it’s perfect for our dogs without all the usual distractions—and the convenience of being just minutes from town is hard to beat. It’s the best of both worlds: a quiet, relaxing camping experience with everything you need close by. We always look forward to coming back!

Nice spot. Secluded feeling. Light traffic noise, which did not detract from the cozy vibes.
Plenty of sitting chairs and a lovely porch swing. Nice grassy area included, and a well cleaned porta-toilet. Would stay here again.
Had a great time at Todd's place. Was a great base camp for visiting Mackinaw City & Mackinac Island. Was convient, affordable, plenty of space for several tents, pet friendly and had electricity and a port a potty. We would definitely stay again if we need a place to stay in the area.
The site is great. Theres space for 3-4 tents. It's right off of the road so it's easy to access. There's an electrical hook up and a convenient tall light that can illuminate the site with a switch if you come back late. It's a short drive to downtown Mackinaw city and the dark sky park. I would definitely camp here again!
This campsite was exactly what I was looking for. It was close to everything (shopping and sightseeing).

Particular area but with the right product they did not bother us at all. We opted in for a more natural cedar wood and citronella oil based repellant and it worked better than anything I have used in past. Very helpful at this location.
There is noise, but as someone who always has some background noise (fan, tv, etc.) it didn’t affect us any.
There was wood right next to lot for sale (for those who do not bring their own) at $5.00 a bundle with fire starters as an option as well.
Overall I would recommend the stay to others, and was very content.

The set up is wonderful and very welcoming. Quick response for reserving. The mosquitos were very bad that night. The road noise was somewhat hard to sleep through.
Very peaceful, spacious, lovely. I did not hear any highway noise, as mentioned, got a great night's sleep! The only issue, after much rain, there were bugs, mosquitoes. Just bring bug spray, I forgot. Other than that issue, I would recommend the spacious site and its close proximity to the ferry. Enjoyed my time here
Perfect for needing to be near town and not wanting to pay tourist trap prices for unclean rooms which is 90% of what’s in the area. Loved this little hidden gem and a perfect wood spot next door. Thank you for making my holiday planning much easier!

Perfect spot to explore the area, just 5 minutes to Mackinaw City and the bridge, Todd was very accommodating, allowing 2 RV’s to stay. 45’ truck/trailer(need to back in-no issues) and. 25’ Class C. Site has power (50/30/20) and very nicely fixed up just like your backyard deck. Couldn’t ask for a nicer place to return to after a day of exploring.

Great place to stay with our teardrop camper. We booked on short notice to split up a long drive. Very convenient access off I-75 right by the bridge. Easy in and out with a teardrop trailer. Had a porta potty, electric, a light, fire pit, chairs, trashcan. Private enough, although it is close to the road and a house is visible close by on one side. If it's available the next time we pass through on our way to the UP we will definitely stay again!

We enjoyed the private site and easy access. There was a fire ring, table, chairs and a swing. Plenty of room for our 43' motorhome, tow vehicle and another camper van.
Entrance was clearly marked, we did unhook our tow vehicle before getting to the site.
We backed in from the road, there was no room to turn around in the actual site
You heard road noise during the day, not so much at night.
Great location to explore the Island.

Nature’s Peaceful Place couldn't have better proximity to Mackinaw City! It was so simple getting around from the site! As other reviewers mentioned there is highway noise, but you’re still in a little pocket of nature- a great place to sit around a fire after a busy day.

The perfect quiet spot to use as a basecamp to visit Mackinac Island. We stayed in our 31 travel trailer. If you're in a travel trailer, you'll want to back up from the road. There's plenty of room to back in, and I just waited for the cars to pass by. There was a bit of a shoulder to pull off on, so it wasn't a big deal. There was a really nice grass area that our dog Grippy enjoyed.
Todd's slice of land was a great place to pitch a tent for the night. There was a nice, flat and soft grassy area. The biffy was nice and clean and was nice for going to the bathroom. It's also nice and convenient to Mackinaw City. The road noise was loud but I slept pretty well
