Perfectly fine for a night. Owner is really friendly. Pretty basic but still nice. Not really a campground, more of an open field in someone's backyard. But still perfect for one night and had porta potties and a shower which was really refreshing!

The site was very cute and we enjoyed our stay. There were toilets and a campsite but we loved that we were two steps away from the beach and downtown. Thank you for letting us stay!

If you want secluded, look elsewhere.

Great little stopover on our way to the UP. Close to downtown Boyne City for shopping and dining. Camp is in a wide open field (great for solar), with electric and water if needed. Only a few clocks from the lake shore, with kayaks available.

Jeff was welcoming and helpful. Portapotty was clean. The field is open and pleasant. Houses are in sight but it doesn’t feel like you’re in someone’s backyard, more like a municipal campground. It was perfect for us to stay one night, just passing through. The town had appealing breweries and restaurants.

Slightly deceiving from the photos, but this site is in a suburb/neighborhood area. So it's not as private as I was expecting. There are outhouses but they were pretty gnarly. Other than that, it was a nice site! Big campfire area with a picnic table and they even provided plenty of firewood. Hosts were very nice.

Good facilities (outhouse, water access, fire pit, etc.) it’s essentially an empty grass field next to Jeff’s house. Upkeep was good. We said we’d arrive at 7pm and called him then, took 1:30 to get a response which wasn’t ideal. Other than that, it’s fine.

Some people in my group were a little uncomfortable but this was our first time using Hipcamp so that definitely could have influenced that. The main problem we had was the directions told to call the host upon arrival to show us to our site and around the property. However, the host didn't return our call until two hours after we called. We ended up leaving and going to dinner and coming back since we didn't know what to do when we got there. The property was well kept and Jeff was nice when we met him.

If you are moving around the Petoskey, Boyne, Charlevoix area this is a great tent spot. Within 20 mins of tons of lake to fish which was why this was perfect for us!

Jeff was a great host! Very respectful and helpful with things to do around the area. He even checked in when we had severe weather. The area was clean and the campfire had plenty of seating and wood. If you’re looking for a place to stay near town for mostly campfire and sleeping, then this is definitely the place! If you’re looking to be in the woods, I’d try another location.

Jeff and his wife were so sweet. The campsite was amazing. The weather did not co-op as well. Jeff and his wife invited us into their house. Checked on us multiple times. We had a storm situation and they made us so comfortable, while also going above and beyond. We had amazing bonfires while having wood provided. We even met another couple from our same town who we enjoyed a nice camp fire with them. The bathroom s were great little portas. The beach down the street was beautiful. The locals were so nice as well. This camp ground was our first hip camp and we loved it! Jeff and mindy were the perfect sweetest hosts I could of asked for. I wish I could give them more accolades, but they were literally the best!

Jeff and his wife were great, welcoming hosts! It was a pleasure to be their guests and we met some great people while there! Would be good to have an image loaded of the actual site space as that was missing on the listing.. we didn’t necessarily expect to be in a lot in the middle of a neighborhood. However, this was a great home base for our hiking adventures!

Nice field to camp in Boyne City, Mi. It's nestled in a small neighborhood so there are some houses nearby. Regardless, it's a great location, nice fire pit, electricity, and portaJOHNS.
The host Jeff is really a great guy, super nice, very helpful. The kind of guy that would give you the shirt off his back. I would go back for sure! Great location, I stayed one night.
