Nearby, you’ll also find a gas station with pizza and fried chicken, plus a Dollar General for any forgotten essentials. • Croton and its bike path, dam/river float and tubing rentals, fishing, restaurants, and stores are only 4.1 miles away. The area also includes boat docks, a public beach, and more. • The Dragon Trail is 10 miles away, with a very scenic 18-minute drive to get there. • Just 15 minutes away is Elivate Lounge & Beauty Bar in the heart of Newaygo, offering facials, IV drips for dehydrated campers, Botox, fillers, and an infrared sauna (by appointment only: [xxxxxxxx]). • Bird’s Farm Meat Market is 4.5 miles up the road and offers choice steaks and grilling supplies for your campsite (closed Sundays and Mondays). • Lake Michigan is only a 45-minute drive away and well worth the trip. Duck Lake • State Park is great for both kids and adults, and on the way you’ll pass Michigan’s Adventure amusement and water park. Campsite areas include: • Fire ring • 5 gallons of fresh hose water for personal use • Communal recycling and trash bins • Two bikes (if available) • Three kayaks (if available): one adult-sized and two smaller kayaks for kids or guests under 180 lbs • Four fishing poles with basic tackle available upon request Smaller campers will work best with the circle drive, though the site is also great for groups.

Deep Woods 1

We were Harmony's first hipcampers and we were so glad we did not miss out this year. The site was very private and quiet which is why we choose hipcamp. There were no other campers and the site was set back from the road so that our set up was not visible to cars driving by. The site is actually situated off a dirt road so there were very few cars in the area anyways. The site was large enough for us to pull through with our truck camper. We require a 12 ft height clearance and there was more than enough room. Nights were very quiet and peaceful. There was plenty of fallen wood to burn. Location was close to hiking (North Country Trail and Coolbough Nature Area) and the fall colors did NOT disappoint. We discovered Hit the Road Joe just a short distance away for delicious breakfast, coffee and lunch. 6 minutes from Croton dam and not far from downtown Newaygo for shopping and restaurants. We are very happy we discovered Harmony's Happy Haven and will be booking again next year.
