Located on Deer Creek, you will have access to nearly 15 wooded acres! You are experiencing Northern Michigan’s finest! The property goes across the creek to Sloop road, so you are more than welcome to explore the forests and wetlands. Please do not trespass on adjacent properties. This campsite gives you direct access to M-32, which leads to 131, M66, Charlevoix, Petoskey, East Jordan, Traverse City, Mackinaw City, Mackinaw Island, Sleeping Bear Dunes, etc. The beautiful fern, filled property is rustic to a T! Outhouse on site, newly planted fruit trees on site, very rustic, serene, beautiful, access to the Milky Way, and meteoroid showers. One mile from launch into South Arm of Lake Charlevoix, and less than 0.5 mile to Jordan River Rogers Road access. Beautiful and peaceful area. Located in Lake Charlevoix Watershed Area. Visit some of the local beautiful farms such as Friske's, Lavendar Hill, local farmers markers, and vineyards! There is a casino located in Petoskey on Little Traverse Bay of Lake Michigan as well as Mackinaw, and are a short drive away! Take a jump off the breakwall, or visit the newest bridge at Boyne Mountain Resort, just a stone's throw away! Relax in peace, the woods, and enjoy a little slice of heaven. There is no electricity, running water, or trash services. Please pack in, pack out. Please do not leave discarded or broken beer or alcohol bottles on property. There are over 30 fruit trees on site, from Black Pearl and Bing Cherries, Apricots, Peach trees, Honeycrisp apples trees etc, 250 sunflower seeds were also planted this season. This is a very delicate area near a local watershed source, Deer Creek, wetlands on property, and also fruit tree farm in it's early stages, organic strawberries, and organic raspberries growing as well. If you can't respect the trees, plants, flowers, on property please do not book! Also with all of the fruit tree plantings, parking is limited to one to two vehicles inside property at site, other vehicles can park along the drive on M32. This is a tarped 20x20 area. You are free to move and modfiy tarp to adjust to fit your camping area. Please do not stake through the tarp. Next to newly planted apricot tree. Marked #33. Metal Fire ring on site, no picnic table at this site.. yet! Sorry about that, it will be completed ASAP and this tab will be updated. Rustic outhouse on site, follow path around cabin. Very rustic, bring own toilet paper. No water or electric on site. Please haul in haul out own water, and trash. Bring own firewood. Please be respectful of the new orchardlings. The site is tarped, but you can go all the way to the property lines they are staked and marked with line please do not touch markers. Please be cautious of the fruit trees when staking your tent, and the fire. Thank you! Enjoy! Camp amid the ferns, cherry trees, peach trees, apple trees, birch trees, cedars, white pines, and maples. Outhouse is on site very rustic, haul in your own water. Jordan River launch site less than 0.5 mile from site, South Arm of Lake Charlevoix public access 1 mile away. Enjoy the peacefulness of Northern Michigan, the small town hospitality make Northern Michigan like no other. Enjoy the Milky Way, beautiful stars, if you are lucky Aurora Borealis can make an appearance, fresh air, in the South Arm of Lake Charlevoix along Deer Creek at the Fern Gully Ranch. Guests will need to take all trash, and leave no trace. No water on site must bring own water.

The Back 40 is located along the back ridge of the property opening into the forest. Flat sandy space, newly excavated, soft sand. Largest camping site can fit RV, or accommodate a group of tents from one party. Site is about 100 ft long by 70 ft all on soft Northern Michigan sand. Multiple tents can fit as well. Camp amid the ferns, cherry trees, peach trees, apple trees, birch trees, cedars, white pines, and maples. Outhouse is on site very rustic, haul in your own water. Jordan River launch site less than 0.5 mile from site, South Arm of Lake Charlevoix public access 1 mile away. Site is located in beautiful Jordan Valley, along Deer creek. Unfinished cabin, electrical ran for generator if you’d like to set up. Outhouse nearby. Calm, peaceful, serene. Fire pit and picnic table included. Bunk bed set up, please bring your own bedding. Bring in own water. Haul in and haul out. Leave no trace. Very rustic, simple, beautiful place to escape hustle and bustle.

Apricot Blossoms #33 Jordan Valley

The night we spent at Fern Gully was uneventful- and yes, perhaps, as the pat reviewer has written, in the future this site will be developed in a more amenable way. But what is lacking in the description is that the site is right next to a private home, and just off a very busy street. There was a good deal of traffic noise throughout our stay. The tarps that were mentioned in the site description were on the driveway and ground, crumpled, as if the owners hadn’t visited the site in a while. Overall the site didn’t feel well maintained.
