The site was as described accurately. However, the host, Rob, did not greet us when we arrived as was stated in the description and he did not respond to my messages. It caused us some annoyance because we thought we had to talk to the host upon arrival and so we delayed going out to explore the area expecting him to show up.
As it turned out, we never met the host. He was not around at all. We were hoping to chat about the area a bit with him. Without that interaction, we felt quite isolated and so the experience was less than pleasant.

Empire Bluffs was a disaster. Using 2 GPS systems, I was unable to find EB. Then when I phoned the host to request help, he interpreted my request as:"a bad attitude". He then refused me service for the night and terminated my phone call. Totally unbecoming behavior by a "host". I have no opinion about EB, because I was not allowed to see it. I have requested a refund.

Very secluded and a nice location. Easy in and out. Very clean. Only downside was the neighbors had a light on all night outside. Location was perfect for visiting the dunes.

It was a nice spot. Easy to get to. Nice piece of property right next to house and garage. Water and electric was great to have. Very close to sleeping bear dunes.

This is a great spot! Private and close to all the activities near Sleeping Bear Dunes. The host was friendly and helpful. Great trails nearby. We enjoyed going to the Dune Climb and overlook nearby, Esch Beach, and floating the Platte River. The Treat Farmstead trail, just a short drive or bike ride from this site, was beautiful. Highly recommend!

This is a hidden gem. Quiet, peaceful, private, well maitained. The 30amp service and water worked wonderfully. The site was level. There is plenty of room to enter / turn / exit. There is a small tree that peovides some shade. Site is walkable to the Treat Farm Trail which goes to top of a bluff & Baldy Dune above Lake Michigan, and for a longer hike, connects to Empire Bluff Trail and a short walk back to Empire Bluffs HipCamp. This is an awesome HipCamp!

Nice, private site close to Sleeping Bear Dunes attractions. 2 short and scenic hikes within walking/biking distance (Tweddle Farm, Empire Bluff). Electric water hook ups were reliable and firewood was available. Clear enough that we were able to use our Starlink system and work during our stay.

Very quiet any peaceful. The kids loved running around on the grass and roasting marshmallows over the fire. And it's only 5 minutes from Empire and the beach. Very pleasant stay!

This was our first time using Hipcamp and couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Very quiet. Level lot. Close to Glen Arbor. We arrived super late (like 2AM) and we had no issues parking and hooking up. We used fire pit which was right next to camper. Water and 30amp feed worked perfectly. No complaints. Thank you!

This spot was very quiet even though close to a garage and the road. Electric and water were great to have and location near Sleeping Bear Dunes was fantastic. FYI- there was not a picnic table at the site.

Great stay here. We rented a camper off RVShare and had it delivered to the spot, which we knew from previous annual trips to the area that it would be a perfect location for us.
Esch Beach, Treat Farm Trail, Platte River floating, Shipwreck Cafe, and an afternoon in Glen Arbor are all within easy reach!
Quiet spot, low/no traffic road right off M-22.

We tried calling as soon as we got there and no response on where to go. Did not look like the pictures, was extremely far from the beach and right on the road. We ended up leaving and staying at an RV park that thankfully could get us in.

The location was great. Short drive into Empire (and to the Platte River) as well as a trail point at the west end of the road which leads to some excellent views of Lake Michigan. Electric & water were a definite luxury to have. It does feel a bit awkward camping in the yard with house / garage adjacent to the site, but given the proximity to everything a trade off worth experiencing.

Private - nice location in empire. Close to empire bluff trail & 4/5 miles from heritage trail . Host has two different locations/ which I was confused about at first. Both are nice :’the RV site is at a quiet smaller backyard. The farm location is very large/ cool & wooded (& had port-a-jon)- with beautiful country view.
. Robert is a very nice host - checking in to see if everything is good. Will add this to my places to I like to stay in area.

I had a great 2 night stay. Randy was really friendly and made sure everything was ok. The space is huge and grassy. Nice to wake up to trees and birds and not an rv park. Amazing view from Empire bluffs trail (only 1 mile from Randy’s place). I walked there , did the trail and walked back. It is Not to be missed. Also biked the sleeping bear heritage trail which starts close by in the small town of Empire. Highly recommend!

The camp site is fantastic and right next to Empire, Empire bluffs, and Sleeping bear dunes! Robert (and his cute dog Tilda) were great hosts, and having an electric hookup for the weekend was a wonderful surprise. The town, weather, and proximity to everything was wonderful. He had a hot shower near by as well. Great place! Highly recommend!

We enjoyed camping on Robert's land. There were plenty of trails and cherry orchards to explore. There was absolutely no commercial noise and we had the place to ourselves. Robert answered all of our questions and met our needs. We traveled in a self contained Sprinter van.

Wow! What a beautiful and private pocket of Michigan. Robert was an exceptional host who accommodated us well and made checking in really easy and painless. Plenty of space and we got to pick some cherries in the morning. The shower is hot too! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
