We were the only ones camping and enjoyed the privacy. In that this place is out of the way it was very, very quiet. That suited us just fine but do note the location if you have plans to be on the west side of the Keeweenaw.
We had our own kayaks and enjoyed the paddling right off the dock. Kayaks are provided if you don’t have your own. We had a lovely sunset off the dock. The porta potty may have been the cleanest I’ve been in.

Had the place to ourselves which was so nice! Clean port-potty, plenty of space to spread out. Elect hook up a bonus. Unfortunately rained the entire time so didn’t get to use the fire pit. Great spot for exploring the UP. Couldn’t locate the trail to the lake as shone on the map on site. Loved the naturalized growth and tons of mushrooms around!

I stayed here while visiting the Keweenaw peninsula in the UP. It was very quiet and peaceful. I was here four nights and all but the first I was alone at the site. You should know that to visit attractions to the west of this location you will need to go north a ways and then back to Houghton to cross the only bridge over the waterway that somewhat divides the Keweenaw peninsula. The toilet facility was clean and the camp also has multiple fire rings and firewood available.

There is a bit of an imbalance with this campsite. It is very close to a road that is relatively busy for the UP. You can very clearly see the road and other campsites, so it is essentially a field, and there is a house close to site 1, and the cabin is very close to site 4.
If you are someone who is looking to get away from people, this is not the campsite for you. there was only one night when I was there with someone else, and it felt crowded and we were on the opposite sides of the field. I think the map makes it look like there is more woods than there actually is.
The grass on site 1 was pretty long, and made me worried for ticks with my dog. All in all, it was just an okay experience.

I have no complaints. Might be a bit crowded if the other sites were full but I had the place to my self. Very clean toilet. Firewood available. Very nice place. Beautiful sunsets.

I have mixed feelings over this site. It was beautiful and quiet, and we really enjoyed kayaking here. The site is directly off the road, so when cars pass by, they are loud, but there was not a lot of traffic, so not a big deal. The beach that is just about a mile away has a lighthouse and is very quiet and nice.
As for the actual campsite area, it is VERY, VERY close quarters. If there were other campers here, you would literally be listening to each other's conversations and watching their fire. In my opinion, this should be one site, not four and it should be mentioned that you are sharing the site with a cabin that is very close and possibly rented out. We booked site 2 and had to position our car sideways to block the view into the cabin (and site 4) and we had to position our tent to block the view from the windows of the house on the opposite side. It was not private at all. We lucked out and the people in the cabin were quiet and respectful, but with how small the area is, it wouldn't take much to have the noise travel. I would come back here if it was one site, but as it is set up now, I would only go if the other sites were not booked.
