Had a wonderful overnight and day stay at Turtle Bend! Quiet, cute, and right at the foothills of the Berkshires. During Fall you can't beat the views. Maggie and her family were so nice and friendly to us. Their dog is adorable and awesome to hang out with as well!
Everything was well-described and easy to setup. Some really cool hikes were right nearby within 5 minute drive, so that was a plus too!

Really lovely place to stay. This is my second time back because the space is so magical. The train & distant wind turbine (can't see either just audible) at night can be a little tough. Staying here in the fall was dreamy-waking up to birdsong and watching the morning mist rise in the sunrise
Had a great time at the camp. Easy to get to, quiet and lots of space. The dog was a plus. Couldn’t bring mine this time so he was a good weekend sub!! Train is definitely noticeable but also kind of cool too. Would definitely book again.
I like this place! The spot I stayed in was completely secluded and wonderful.

Great spot, my site was very private, beautiful view of the pasture and the wooded hills behind it. Would definitely stay there again.

I had a wonderful time here. The location is full of lush greenery with a mountain view and the campsite is tucked away far enough from the main site to feel very private and close enough to the barn and bathroom to feel safe and secure. The train was quite active during our stay, and the sound is all encompassing among the mountains, but it's a very loud, hypnotic, tranquil and different sound and I found it quite beautiful, and a moment to just pause and admire the sound and scenery. My son was a little bummed there were no animals and not too much to explore...but I found this place to calming and serene and it had wonderful sunrises.

I really love how easy it is to book this campsite. Most campsites you have to wait for approval. This one is so convenient.

A beautiful place to wake up to! We arrived at night and were greeted by Fledge who barked but was super sweet. It’s a flat field, parking was simple in the dark. The train wasn’t overwhelmingly loud but I used earplugs anyway because I’m a light sleeper. We would have stayed longer if we had the time.

Natural nature all around. Birds, bugs (which my Grands enjoyed searching and collecting for),the visual of the mountains early in the morning with Smokey like clouds adding to the landscape. I personally adored the sound of the rooster in the far distance.Apple , peaches, and pears available for picking. Birds chirping and gliding in the sky was awesome to watch along side of hearing the the train squeaking as it trails along wasn’t a sore to my ears at all. Plenty room for My Grand boys to be boys. I definitely would visit again! Let me add the barns have a history and a present story to tell. (This I fantasized in my mind but the real story the owner knows 😊😊)

Great spot, beautiful views, just enough privacy from other campers. The bathroom wasn’t so clean but we managed!
I loved spending a starry evening at the far Western end of the property! I was able to get my car nice and flat for sleeping, and enjoyed the fire pit and table (no seats, but I had my own). There were other campers on the property and I had no contact with them at all, however if I had needed to use the facilities I would have needed to pass through another campsite. This property is a great escape whenever I want to get away, and I know I will be back! And I would say that a total of about five or six trains came through in the 12 hours that I was there.
Turtle Bend is a beautiful property that has much potential. Other reviews mentioned no animals but I as not looking for any. Almost did not stay when I saw the water jug in the horse stall with the composting toilet. The drinking water needs to separate from the toilet. The number one source of illness when camping is contamination. Read the other comments that are available.

Wanted to do a little overnight camp out where we could watch the meteor shower, and this place was great for that (although it turned out to be cloudy, whomp).
Yes there is a train that went by in the middle of the night and lasted a few minutes, but we were already awake for it hoping for a break in the clouds.
Our site also didn't have a level place so our tent was on a bit of a slope, but probably not noticeable in an rv.
It was great for what we needed it for, and would go there again for similar activities.

This was such a beautiful stay with a lovely property and easy to find location. I felt safe and the sunrise and sunset were beautiful. The train came through a few times but it made itself a cool part of the experience at Turtle Bend Farm.

I really enjoyed my stay and the bathroom was a plus.
Train comes by every 45 mins all night. Campsites are not marked.
“Firewood” I purchased was painted / treated lumber, which I couldn’t cook with.

Our stay at Turtle Bend Farm was everything we needed. 🏕️❤️
The peaceful silence, the quiet moments together, the breathtaking mountain views, and the incredible star-filled nights We truly enjoyed every moment and left feeling refreshed and grateful.
I highly recommend Turtle Bend Farm to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway to relax, reconnect, and enjoy the beauty of nature. ⛰️✨
Overall this is a beautiful and private location for tent camping or rv. I will note that the listing highlights donkeys and sheep but there are no farm animals on the farm, at least not now so if you’re booking to see animals that should be noted. The bathroom was clean and there was available firewood.
One note, we had a bit of a saftey concern with other guests that with weather and that situation ultimately had us stay in a hotel the second night. The hosts did address the situation but it did create a bit of an unsafe isolated feeling. Defiantly not the hosts fault but something to note if you’re used to state parks with on site staff.
