We are located at the entrance to Frederick Municipal Watershed on the shore of Fishing Creek. Catoctin Mountain National Park, Cunningham Falls State Park and Gambrill State Park are all within a 15-minute drive. This is an ideal region for trout fishing, mountain, gravel and road biking, foraging and rock climbing. Local attractions include: The Frederick Watershed, The Catoctin Trail , Utica biking district, The Historic Covered Bridges Tour, Springfield Manor Winery and Distillery, Catoctin Breeze Vineyard, Catoctin Furnace Historical Society, Frederick Maryland's Art Walk and Brewery District, Thurmont's Color Fest and the Catoctin Zoo. We are 35 miles south of Gettysburg National Park and 45 minutes from Baltimore and Washington DC.

    What a great place to stay! The host was very easy to communicate with and neighborhood was quite quaint. The cabin was very cozy and we were pleasantly surprised as how comfortable camping cots actually are! The fire pit is in a little secluded area next to the building which made us feel like we were in our own little world and the sound of the creek nearby made for a wonderful experience!

    We loved staying at Fishing Creek. The kids loved picking wild berries and playing in the water. Friendly cat, too, while we roasted s'mores over the camp fire! Clean and good amenities - kids give it thumbs up for return visit!
