Camp Otyokwa is a completely private space offering guests the ability to fully relax and rejuvenate in our quiet tent clearing or expand onto Pemaquid Pond in our Lakeside Cabins. Pitch your tent in our beautiful treelined clearing or reserve a lakeside cabin along the shores of Pemaquid Pond in Bremen, Maine. Communal firepits, fresh air, secluded pockets - all yours to enjoy and explore. Well-behaved pets are most welcome as long as you clean up after them and they do not disturb other campers. Canoe, kayak, and SUP rentals are available, along with firewood and other services, based on the time of year.

Pitch your tent in our beautiful tree-lined clearing in Bremen, Maine. Nestled in between tall pines and historic stone walls, our camping area is protected and flat while remaining easily accessible to your car in our parking area. You'll have access to a communal SoloStove, with firewood conveniently available for purchase. Potable water is available for rinsing gear or filling water via an outdoor spigot at our Farmhouse. We do not offer bathroom/shower facilities, so please plan accordingly for your sanitary needs. Well-behaved pets are most welcome as long as you clean up after them and they do not disturb other campers. If pets become a nuisance, you will be asked to leave and no refund will be offered, so please consider your pet's behavior before booking. We host several other types of guest experiences on our property and may be hosting others. This reservation does not include access to our waterfront. If you desire lake access, please take a look at our separate listing for our lakeside tenting sites. Canoe, SUP, and kayak rentals are only available when there are no other guests on the property, so please ask before booking (you'll be reimbursed if you reserve and they aren't available).

Your stay includes private access to THE NOOK Apartment along with private use of our Rec Hall, the adjacent space to THE NOOK - think of it as your fun living room! With books and games, a stereo system with record player, and a ping-pong table, you'll have plenty to entertain you. You will have shared use of our Lakeside Area, with easy access into Lake Pemaquid for swimming, a natural stone fire pit, picnic tables, and BBQ grill. Kayaks, Canoes, SUPs, Firewood, and Sauna are all available for an additional fee. Please coordinate with your host. THE NOOK has one Queen bed in a custom-built alcove, with an antique stained glass accent. The kitchenette has everything you need to make coffee and cook simple meals, with a mid-size fridge/freezer, running hot/cold water, a two-burner stove top, and a toaster oven. The interior bathroom includes a composting toilet and hand sink. Outside, enjoy bathing in nature with our private outdoor shower along the tree-line, with hot water always available. Plenty of space to spread out inside... but even more outside in your expansive yard surrounding the Rec Hall. Enjoy a large picnic table, yard games, and plenty of shade for lounging. Sometimes I resist writing a good review because we all want to keep hidden gems hidden. I love this place. The location was easy to find, close to groceries and gas, and the host couldn’t be more welcoming, warm and gracious. We tented with a lake view which gave us access to the bathhouse. Not heated, but hot showers. The property is clean and well maintained, with beach and water access. Will be back again!

Beautiful slice of peace. The hosts are wonderful, the cabins appropriately rustic and the views and quiet totally amazing. The sauna is a must and a dip in the lake!! Will be back again and again.

The campground was absolutely stunning. The cabin was lovely and quaint with a beautiful view of the lake. Well-furnished and thought out with extra blankets, towels, etc. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a fun getaway in scenic Maine!

Great grassy area with trees to setup tents in. As others have mentioned, Rheanna was super friendly and helpful during our stay. We camped a short walk to the lake and couple see fireworks from across the pond from our spot. Bathroom and shower facilities were awesome and well maintained.

We had the whole place to ourselves with pick of the land. This was the perfect place to unwind after a long day of adventures! I thoroughly enjoyed seeing 3 wild turkeys and waking up to the sound of the leaves in the trees above rustle in the wind. If you want a slice of peace, camp here.

Perfect lakeside camping

Perfect if you don't mind falling asleep to loon call or waking up to bald eagles chirping. This was our second time staying in the cabins and certainly will not be our last! We can't wait to come back and bring other friends and family members. Rheanna is a wonderful and attentive host. The cabins themselves are exceptionally clean, the shared kitchen cabin is fully stocked, the beds are more comfortable than my bed at home, and the showers are warm. I highly recommend adding the wood-fire sauna to your trip. Hard to beat a sauna and a dip in the lake to start the day.

Sooo awesome! Super cute vintage vibe camp. Everything you need. Just bring your own food/toiletries and that’s it. Everything else is provided. It felt like an adult summer camp but with a sauna. The kids loved the rec room and the camp kitchen was a perfect hangout spot when we had a bit of rain. We are already looking forward to booking again. Next time we have our eye on one of the house boats but Book early!

Lakeside Cabin 4 at Camp Otyokwa
Great spot. So quiet and restorative. We went on a rainy weekend knowing we would be hunkered down. We loved the sauna and the pond swimming. Sleeping cabins are very well appointed, as is the kitchen cabin. Very grateful to the folks who keep this place alive.

The stay was wonderful! We were the only ones there so it felt nice and secluded. Rheanna even reached out to let us know that no one was using their cabins and we could use the fire pit right on the beach! We also got to witness the Northern Lights while we were down at the pond which was absolutely breathtaking! Wonderful stay and would stay again!

Beautiful spot and wonderful hosts! Was a great trip to a wonderful part of Maine with a boat launch we used for kayaks just 5 minutes away. Our stay was exactly as described in the listing, would recommend!

beautiful tenting area with a nice open overhead for stargazing. solo stove firepit w/ a wheelbarrel and downed tree branches to pull from the surrounding bush. great for a few tents, not sure how having 15 tents would go since there's no toilet or privacy... would definitely rebook. Rheanna is caring and approachable. The cottages looked like an amazing value.

This is a nice site. The fields are very flat which is welcome for tent users like us. And the lake is beautiful and just a short walk down the hill with a rocky beach and clean water for swimming. The cabins look really cute too with a sauna which we may want to try someday. It looks like the owner is encouraging feedback and there nothing negative we can say but if it could help as other guests have noted it might be useful to ask the neighbor to turn off their music at night since it did interfere a bit with our enjoyment of the loon sounds (but likely out of their control). Also as another guest noted some signage right where you turn off onto the camp sites could be useful since it wasn’t totally clear. And checking the app regularly could help too since the host said she didn’t know we had a reservation when we arrived. But all of these are very small suggestions and overall, this is a really cool spot.

Easy to get to, clearing for tents was big, private and clean. Love to camp on grass!! Nice fire pit as well. Didn’t get a chance to explore the lake area but really perfect for a stopover on the way up to Maine from NYC to break up the drive a bit.

Such a good spot! Fall asleep to loon calls over the lake at night. Wake up and paddle -- I spent a few morning hours paddleboarding when the lake was calm and saw several osprey and a bald eagle. And make sure to add extras to your stay (s'mores kit, firewood, sauna, kayak rental). This would be a great place to book with several groups of people. There are five cabins, a bathhouse cabin with showers and running water, and a communal kitchen cabin with everything you could need and more, including a refrigerator. The firepit area is also communal. Everything was extremely clean and well maintained. And the whole vibe of the place felt like traveling back to a simpler time -- perfect for unplugging.

Rheanna was a responsive host and came out to greet us on arrival. This is a basic hipcamp: no fire ring, or toilet or table. It is a beautifully trimmed narrow field surrounded by forest. We had the place to ourselves and choice of camping spots which was wonderful. If there hadn’t been blasting music coming from a near bye home (out of hosts control) , it would have been quiet peaceful. Come prepared with bug spray if you come in august as mosquitoes were in abundance. Loo review: no loo so don’t forget to pack your toilet.

The site was great. Easily accessible, in a large field and surrounded by beautiful woods. Everything was as described and things went swimmingly. Overall great value for money. Hostess was kind and accommodating. Wonderful experience all-in-all.

Rheanna’s property was very large, open and beautiful. There was endless wildlife, such as foxes, turkeys, deer, wood peckers, owls and even a far off pack of wolves. The lake down below is spectacular, clean and easily accessible for a cold water plunge! Very highly recommended place to tent or car camp.

Rheanna is a very welcoming and friendly host and the grounds are great. Nice level field to the left of the main house that acts as the camping area. She has a Solo stove set up to act as a community fire pit, which we did use. There was another couple camping, so we didn’t park our truck camper near the fire pit because we didn’t want to “claim” it. Rheanna told us she just started doing Hipcamp, and would love some critiques, so here are just a few things that I otherwise wouldn’t be picky about… 1. It might be a good idea to put up signage for designated camping sites rather than letting visitors choose their own spot in the field. Then post a picture of each site on your Hipcamp listing 2. Having a fire pit at each site is nice, rather than a community pit 3. Have a hose available for non-potable water needs, such as putting out the fire before bed or washing dishes, etc 4. We camp fully contained, but most others might need access to a pit or composting toilet of some kind. Otherwise, it’s a great spot and I wish you great luck with future Hipcampers!
