We had a great experience here! It was very simple and pretty campground spaces and we kayaked twice from the campground dock on Somes Sound which was absolutely beautiful - we even saw a couple of seals! The campground staff were also really wonderful and knowledgeable about Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park, giving great advice about kayaking and hikes that helped us to find some really stunning spots. Finally, the bathhouse was super clean and nice. We definitely want to come back to Acadia and would love to stay here again!

We loved this campground. The facilities were clean and well-maintained. The sites were large and easy to pull our van into. Excellent location with easy access to all of Mount Desert Island.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The facilities were surprisingly clean, I cannot tell you the amount of times I have gone to a campsite shower and feel dirty leaving then when I went in, not the case at this camp site, they were spotless.
The water to every pitch was also a pleasant surprise and there was actually hot water available all the time.
The site backing onto the ocean was beautiful and honestly a strong selling point.

Lovely private campground! Tucked into nature with deer popping in and out to say hello! Staff was extremely responsive and helpful, and facilities were maintained to an exceptionally clean level! If we’re ever back in the area we would surely stay again!

This site was amazing!!! Staff were all so friendly, the campground was by the water, there is a heated pool, and kayak rentals! Great spot

Sites were clean and spaced out well. Amenities were WONDERFUL; water hookups at each site including tents plus wood & ice available at for purchase at the office. Will visit again!

The campground was very clean and maintained. The site we had was pretty large surrounded by trees. They have water access for kayaks, a pool, and one of the nicest bath houses with great showers.

Seems relatively new. Had everything we needed. Except that some of the site and campgrounds were very muddy. Maybe more gravel on the site would be helpful.

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE CAMPGROUND!!
Sites were clean and spaced well apart. Staff was friendly and helpful. Bathhouse was SUPER modern and very clean. Kayaking on the lake was exceptional. We camp A LOT and agree that this place is our favorite. You will love it here.

GO HERE!!! We camp a ton & this was our favorite place this far! Clean, quiet, extremely friendly and helpful office staff! The sites are the perfect combination of tidy but still rustic. Beautiful bathhouse too! Couldn't recommend highly enough!

No staff, but we found our site and settled in okay. Portapotties are available in the far reaches of the campground. The bathrooms and showers were clean and warm.

Tent camping here was lovely! The facilities were excellent and clean and the showers were super hot. The lake below was beautiful in the mornings and at sunset to sit by.

HTR Acadia was the perfect campsite for us! The facilities were so clean, and the staff was incredibly helpful with check-in and throughout our entire stay! Close to the parks and Bar Harbor! Will definitely stay here every season!

We stayed four nights and it’s was perfect! We got in late but it was fine, our info was in the after hours drop box! There was wood for fires, the site was spacious and comfortable and the showers/bathroom was clean and private! We were about 20 minutes drive from everywhere we wanted to go, we couldn’t have asked for a better location!

We camped in the back of our truck here. The camping spots are quite close together, which is not something we particularly enjoyed. However, this campground is organized, service was great, WiFi worked well, and the bathrooms were clean! A good place to stay if you’re more of a glamping person.

A very solid, well maintained, large campground in the heart of Mt. Desert Island — a stones throw from Echo Lake and a short drive to other points of interest.
The campground:
* Electric hookups, dump stations, bathhouse with warm showers, wifi (strong in some parts of the campground and weak in other parts), dock with water access
* Some of the sites are close to the road — not a busy road but a road nonetheless. All nearby campers were quiet by 8pm. You could hear the spring peepers and a barred owl.
