I had a great stay on Michaels land. I enjoyed the passion Michael has for his land. There is plenty of space out there to camp out, atv trails, clean privy and a some what remote feeling.

We enjoyed this camping place very much. Michael welcomed us and showed us the way to the spot. He is still working the land but our spot was great. Nice fire pit, picknick table and a great view. The sunset was spectacular and stargazing as well.

Great campsite with a great host! The campsite was well kept and Michael maintained great communication throughout our entire stay. The campsite has a port a potty with toilet paper provided. He also provided water jugs at each site to put out the campfire.

What a great place to retreat! Michael was fantastic and his property is beautiful. We loved our stay but had to leave a night early due to work reasons, but will definitely look at staying here again in the future. 10/10 would recommend.

We stayed in a van for a couple of nights, while visiting Acadia. The road up to it, and the sites are very well taken care of! Make sure to go slow (as he says) on the road, the paved part ends pretty abruptly, once you hit dirt it’s smooth though. Michael met us that the gate to explain things, then showed us your site. He is very nice and keeps things very well maintained :)
Outhouse is well taken care of and stocked. We were very pleased with our stay, and would definitely recommend it!

We car camped on Michael’s land and had a great time. It’s a nice out of the way spot not too far from Acadia, which we had come to Maine to visit The spot itself is interesting with a lot to explore nearby. Michael was very friendly, accommodating, and responsive. Would highly recommend.

Great, quiet secluded spot not too far from Bar Harbor and Acadia national park. There’s stores somewhat close by if your in a pinch for something.

Great little spot where you feel like you’re dispersed camping, but with some extra niceties. Gated private property so you don’t have to worry about a bunch of random people taking your stuff. Also had a fire pit (with several gallons of water for extinguishing), picnic table and big trash bin on site, with an outhouse down the road a bit.
Nice dark area perfect for stargazing in one of the darkest areas in New England and very quiet. Saw some other campers drive by here and there, but aside from that, never heard or saw anyone else aside from our host Michael. He was very kind and told us about some of the work he’s put into developing the property and road for campers. And even brought us fresh firewood both nights we were there (which would have been quite a pain on our motorcycle).
Gravel road was mostly packed dirt and no trouble even for two people and tons of gear on a motorcycle. Even got to see some baby goats and had a porcupine walk right up to me. Had to take a few steps back to not spook it, and then it turned around and waddled back into the woods. Zero trouble from bears or moose.
Really a great spot all around. Only very minor downside if anything, was that the spots big enough for a tent were also a bit gravely, but that’s just nature, it’s camping, not a hotel, and even our 1.5” sleeping pads made it plenty comfortable. Would recommend.

I had a really good stay here. The campsite was clean, peaceful, and easy to access. Everything worked out smoothly, and I felt comfortable during my time there. It was just the right spot to rest, reset, and enjoy the outdoors. Would definitely recommend this site to other travelers and would happily stay again. Stream was worth visiting to match the wild life noises with the real stuff

Michael is an amazing host and makes the stay very welcoming. He gave clear directions to the property and met us at the beginning of the property to introduce himself and show us to our site. The tent site was extremely quiet/peaceful and had an amazing view of the stars at night. Would highly recommend a stay here at Egypt Acres!

This was our second time to Michael's land and it was just as quiet and peaceful as last time. There are some brand new camp sites open now and they are beautiful spots. It unfortunately rained our second day, but the downpour exposed some incredible rocks. We'll definitely be back!
