There is a beautiful hike to a mountain lookout view of an amazing panoramic of lakes and mountains including Mt Washington and Pleasant Ski mountain. From 5 Kezars rd turn right onto Kezars Ridge Drive, the last camp road before the pavement ends.) At 0.6 miles keep right onto 5 Kezar Ponds Road. Look for a GLLT sign on the right. This is the Mountain Trail. There is a second access 0.5 miles farther west on 5 Kezar Ponds Road for Ron’s Loop. Here is a link for all Lovell Land trust trails: https://www.gllt.org/five-kezars-reserve 2 Local waterfalls only 2 miles away. Drive back out to 5 Kezars road. Take a right on the paved road. It will turn back into dirt. Keep on this road until you see a beautiful stone house on your left. Keep going just up the hill and you will see a right turn into the woods where you can park. There are no signs for Kezar gorge. Hike towards the sound of the falls. There is a small cave under the falls you can climb up into if you are a strong swimmer. There is a second set of falls if you hike down the river. A most magical spot for sure. Virginia lake is in the White Mountain National forest and is only 6 miles (n a ten minute drive away) Sometimes you have to hike in a bit to get to the beach. Shallow beach is great for children and dogs. Keewayden Lake Dam is a fun place to swim in a local lake. Only and 8 minute drive Keoka lake has a nice beach with a dock to swim too. !0 minutes Covered Bridge in Bethel Screw Ager falls at Graftons Notch State park 45 min drive Ski resorts nearby are Sunday River, Mt Abrams and Pleasant Mt

Find adventure in the White Mountain National Forest, Virginia Lake, Keewayden Lake, Keoka Lake, Lake Penesseewasee, Mt Washington, Grafton’s Notch, local ski areas including Sunday River, Mt. Abrams and Pleasant Mountain. Lovell Land Trust has many hiking trails near by. https://www.gllt.org/five-kezars-reserve All pets must be pre-approved before booking your site. There is a fee of $15 per pet that will be added after your booking price. We are 25 minutes away from grocery and supply stores. There is a gas station 2 miles away. We sometimes offer farm fresh food and we are setting up a farm store where you can buy in season farm products including vegetables, herbs, herbal medicines, tinctures, salves and more. If you would like to add something special to your stay if you schedule ahead of time we offer yoga classes, massage, reiki, and reflexology and other healing bodywork for $70- $100 an hour session. In 2025 we will also be offering a permaculture homestead tour if you are interested in learning more about permaculture. $15 per person or $50 per group. Sign up when you check in. Be prepared for all types of weather. Keep food and trash covered so as not to attract wildlife.

Walk down a short path to a bubbling brook with little waterfalls. Forest Yurt is 16 feet in diameter and 9 feet at the peek of the roof. It has easy access to the dirt road and plenty of parking. There is room for two cars, or a camper van. It is far from any public or paved road giving you plenty of privacy in the wilderness. All pets must be pre-approved before booking your site. There is a fee of $15 per pet that will be added after your booking price. Enchanted Forest Cabin is about 1000 ft hike into the forest past the swimming pond. It is in a private area with its own natural pond, streams and hiking trails. The cabin is 12 by 8 feet with a sleeping loft. The loft is just over 5 feet at the highest point of the roof. There is a ladder to get into the loft. Two twin beds are in the loft but there is room for another person or a child. You are welcome to pitch your own tent as well. There is an octagonal window in the loft. The cabin is insulated and has a propane heater, dinning table and kitchenette. There is a fire pit, a grill and a picnic table. You will have your own private toilet. There is a sun shower at the swimming pond. All pets must be pre-approved before booking your site. There is a fee of $15 per pet that will be added after your booking price. Quiet, forested campsite - flat enough for a 19 foot truck with a little leveling. Donanne was kind enough to greet us with firewood for purchase when we arrived in the evening. What a great first hip camp experience!

Beautiful, quiet and serene. Great getaway. The driveway is a beast. Tent camping is on level ish gravel. There’s a bucket for an “outhouse” set up. She provides fresh water. I purchased wood from her and it had been raining, so it was wet. Just make sure you have plenty of resources for wet wood if it’s been raining. My dog had a blast

A Maine Gem

Evergreen Yurt

Such a wonderful location. Remote, but 20 min from Norway, Maine- a great little town with all you need. Smooth arrival! Do either screenshot the hippcamp map instructions or download for offline use as internet is spotty in rural Maine. The approaching road is bumpy, my Subaru was fine. They have an AWD shuttle and kindly offered it. The land is lovely, quiet.

Forest Yurt

Okay so let's start, this lists as a yurt, we thought it was a regular yurt..no, its a bell tent. (Smaller yurt tent but not a yurt as stated in the description). This site is on a slope, not stated in description, infact the photos posted are a mix of both tent yurt sites(neither shows the actual tent for this one). The slope was so bad we had to use one of the back doors after clearing it of spider webs.. The inside of the tent was decent for the size, the 2 twin bed frames were stuck together but the mattresses kept sliding apart and causing a crack in the middle(not good for sharing a bed with a child). There was a small table with 2 chairs and an empty jar for some reason. On the outside we had a picnic table with a container of water that we used for washing our hands after using the compost toilet about 50 yards from site. Lots of fallen birch trees to start fires with, a good amount of mixed wood to burn around site, dry creek bed in back, was told its only dried up twice in 15 years so was unfortunate not to see that running, looked liked it would be beautiful with water. Also booked because of photo of kitchen with this listing, was no where close by that could be seen.

Our experience was excellent staying in the Yurt. It was easy access from our vehicle. This site was magnificent and completely private in a beautiful location. The air was extremely fresh. The yurt had lots of space to move around for my family of four. We loved meeting the dogs. Donna was excellent to communicate with and very helpful. I wish we had stayed more than one night. I would certainly recommend camping on Donna’s property🙂

Perfect spot and location to just get away! Loved having the canopy of the trees to camp under. Just a beautiful spot, and some pretty cool local watering holes all right there. Doanne was a great host to work with and was very accommodating and responsive with any questions that I had. Highly recommend!!!!!

Peaceful nights in the woods

We stayed two nights in the Evergreen Yurt. We had two peacefully quiet evenings with an incredible amount of fireflies the second evening. The Yurt is more of a large tent that shaped liked a Yurt with a double size bed. The double size bed had a nice bug net installed around it. There was a firepit, fire wood, picnic table and a jug of water on the table. The composting toilet was shared with the next yurt over which did fill quickly according to my partner. The hill up to the Yurt is very steep. It is currently in great shape but there are some water bar crossings that could pose problems for some cars.

Forest Yurt

I highly recommend staying on Donanne's land in one of her yurts! It was the perfect off-the-grid getaway from the city I was seeking. Donanne is a lovely host who recommended an idyllic nearby pond for swimming, picked fresh snap peas for me to take home, and let me play with her pack of adorable dogs. I appreciated the comfort of the yurt combined with a true camping experience, complete with everything I needed for my stay. I'm looking forward to my next opportunity to visit!

Donanne was a wonderful and accommodating host. We got upgraded to the yurt due to scheduling reasons which is right next to a stream with little swimming holes. Sadly we our time coincided with a a cold rain storm so we did not get to venture out and explore the area very much. Overall highlight was staying warm by the private firepit when the rain had subsided

We really enjoyed our stay on the property. Donanne provided detailed directions to help navigate to the property where cell service was on and off. She also provided instructions on how to get to a nice private lake nearby and an amazing local waterfall. They were quick to reply and made sure you had fire wood. The campsites are well maintained and clean.

Personal Retreat Success!

Enchanted Forest Cabin

I was the first person to stay in the cabin, but the experience was nothing like a rookie set up. The host was incredible, super helpful and sweet! The cabin was gorgeous, recently redone with cedar. The set up was like all inclusive and rustic in the best way. I truly got to unwind and disconnect to reconnect. This is a paradise. I took a short hike to a private lake area and swimming there was a genuinely spiritual experience. There’s plenty of wooded area to explore as well. I didn’t take advantage if any of the extras available, but I am curious about the tours! All in all I will be recommending this place to others like me who are craving a retreat from the modern world and all its noises, speed, and business.
