Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.

Come enjoy beautiful Lake Bistineau! We are located in a cove with access to the main channel. We have a boat launch on the property for guests to use. The dock is off limits, but you are welcome to fish from the shoreline or bring your own boat/kayak/canoe to launch from our boat launch. From about end of July - February, they drain the lake and you will not be able to launch a boat with a vehicle. You can still get access to the water with a canoe or kayak by walking but the boat launch will not be usable. Lake Bistineau has a Salvania problem, so during March - June, the water is usually pretty clear, good for fishing, swimming and boating. Mid-June and July, there could be enough salvania to make fishing by the shore and swimming not good. During this time, we recommend you have some way to reach deeper water by boat/canoe/kayak/pirouge to enjoy better fishing and swimming. You will see examples of the salvania in the picutres posted.You will have access to the full yard, boat launch and shoreline except the boat dock and boathouse. Dock and boat house are off limits. Please back in RV by the trees close to the gravel/dirt road or park in the harder ground/dirt area by the road. (pictures of these two spots are in the listing) The closer you get to the lake, the more chance of soft ground and getting stuck. There is not gravel or roads on the property for an RV site, you will be driving on grass or dirt only. Please stay in the higher areas to avoid getting stuck. Ues the boat launch at your own risk. We cannot guarantee things that wash up in the lake or water depth. We do not recommend using the boat launch for large boats, it is a very tight space with about 2 ft of water when we have water. Access to the boat launch is driving over grass only. 4 whl drive is recommended during wet times becuase you can get stuck.
