Too Much to Explore in One Trip!
This is a PERFECT spot to take someone for their first camping trip. Easy to find and down a short private road the campsite opens up to a well maintained, and setup camping area featuring easy back in slips, picnic tables, Adirondack chairs around a fire pit, and solar lights at the steps to the bath house. The sites are orientated to give great views of the night sky and facing west for great sunset viewing.
I have to gush some about the bath house: flushing toilets, running hot and well temp water, and a shower with pressure. That alone will take care of the biggest angst people have about camping, BUT THEN THERE'S MORE! Hair dryer, 115V power, mirror, knick-knacks, laundry basket, a shower that MEANS it for pressure; I have spent much more for much less comfort.
I took a friend on their first ever camping trip and even with the weather being too hot to explore the property, we had a great time and made life long memories. Far enough away from major roads to limit background noise but close enough that a meal in town and acquiring a fine bottle of local bourbon isn't an unreasonable trip. Too hot to make the s'mores but sipping a bourbon by the fire, listening to the cicadas and owls, and picking out constellations made for a great couple of evenings. TYSM and looking forward to returning!
