Arkalon park is located 10 miles NE of Liberal KS on HWY 54. The park offers concrete pads, water, 30/50 amp power for campers, and well maintained grassy areas for tents. Most sites have covered picnic tables. All sites have fire rings and BBQ grills. There are hiking trails, a sandy volleyball area, fishing ponds on the property, and an amazing playground for kids. There is also plenty of room to set up outdoor games. A fully equipped bath house is available for your convenience. For your safety, there is a gate that will be locked every night from 10 p.m. - 7 a.m. and several tornado shelters (which hopefully, we never have to use).

    This is one of the best pieces of local public land I've ever come across. Theres ponds for catch and release, tent camping, RV camping, water and electric and toilets and maybe showers (I didn't use the restrooms). The road leading down to the campsites is well maintained and was easy to navigate. DO NOT follow your GPS once you see the signs. Follow the signs and you'll wind up right there. The roads around the ponds and the conservation land are very soft sand. I happened to be on a motorcycle so it was... Interesting to drive around the loop. They have storm shelters all around the campground as well which is a huge plus in Kansas 😆

    This was a good find for the price. Nice restrooms with showers. Nice shade trees. Just off the road, easy to find.

    Nice campground convenient to the highway nice hiking trails. Bathroom could use a little updating be exceptable

    Few instructions and no communication from the host made it a bit of a challenge to navigate. Once I found it, I had to just drive around a choose what I thought was a campsite, as there were no labels or signs. I imagine they usually book through a different platform, but their Hipcamp game could be improved.
